Purely by chance last Tuesday my wife took a photo of me at the top of my backswing down the line. It showed that my swing had flattened so that the club shaft was at 30° to the ground at the top and not as high as I used to have. So up to now I have been trying to work out how to get back to my previous swing path. You have just provided a potential solution. It's pouring rain in the garden right now but, as soon as the sun comes out, I'll be in the net in the garden (with aforesaid wife for photo/video work) to try this out. I fear it will be some time before the strike improves because the flattened swing has had me striking the ball better than previously, but not as consistently as I once could do. Thank you and I hope you did not get too wet doing this video for us.

So Danny; I went out and played yesterday after watching this video. Short back swing , short follow through I did this with irons and my driver. Shot the best round that I’ve shot in months. Honestly I was about to give up on the game, I’m seventy years old. I hit my driver consistently down the fairway 220/230 yards. Yes, I had hiccups but I feel like I can still shoot in the low eighties like I did three years ago. Thanks Danny you’re the best!

Absolutely brilliant stuff. I have just started playing with my 2 sons this year. I'm nearly 60 and they are in their 20's. We have improved loads, mainly down to the Get Good at Golf guys and yourself.
I was saying on our last round that we are a couple of centimetres away from improving further, especially our consistency. I will share this with them and hopefully we can knock a few shots off our score. We are going to book some lessons in later in the year to take onto the driving range over winter.
    Thanks for some great content.

As an 80 year old I recommend older or injured golfers enjoying a realistic challenge off the red tees
instead of struggling off the yellow tees.
Obviously if you are capable the yellow tees is the place to be.

I used to play baseball during highschool... I'm still new to golf and sometimes still struggling to hit the ball consistently, however, I've also found that doing exactly like what you show in the video help me maintaining the swing circle, it improve my impact and consistency. Most baseball player did that similar move you showed prior to batting.
For me golf is very annoying but also challenging at the same time. Why... because the ball was flying fast towards the player in baseball, while in golf the ball just sit on the ground and yet I'm struggling to hit it 🤣🤣

ELBOWS ON THE CHEST!! Danny you are a legend🎉Only took up golf about a month ago and was becoming increasingly frustrated at not hitting the ball consistently (I know I am an impatient SOB) Watched this video, tried that tip and voila I’m hitting balls straight (in my garden at least!) Can’t wait to try it on the range next 😊
