Norm’s poor cat. Suffered a massive heart attack due to all that cat stress. I heard that cat was up for a big promotion at work and just cracked under the pressure.
The way Dave spoke to the late great Norm is very enduring…… like a father figure …… when hits some of those jokes he laughs with a look of being proud of him!…. It’s really sweet…… to the see the evolution is like a story book….. and its probably is the greatest finale for a story with y norm knowing that was his last time with his papa David ( since Norm lost his father decades ago) and killing it with his final standup routine and ending beautifully by saying he loves him! David was in tears watching his son doing David’s old set from the 1970s…. Word for word! …… what a tribute!!! it was from his heart and of course David who is extremely intelligent and has a huge heart …appreciated that much more then some phony tv award …… David losing Norm hit him very hard….. equivalent to losing a real son……. 🙏🏼😔….. thank you Don for these incredible Borm compilation videos! Beautifully edited and amazing quality!…. This means a lot to us fans! More then u know!….🫵🏻🏆

Thanks. I’m trying up upload the final Part 5, but for some reason it’s taking forever. At this rate, the upload won’t be complete for another 25 hours (it should take, tops, 20 minutes). And who knows how long it’ll take after that to process it. Very frustrating.
@@dongiller you get unlimited patience from me, sir. I have days of letterman to watch thanks to you!
I know he was nervous and felt put on the spot but I really wish Norm had done "Uh, got any gum?!" during his Dave impression. That was the best part of that SNL sketch.
You know you're a devoted fan when you reconstruct a video of his fall. :D Great job! Wonderful! Thank you so much for these uploads!
45:16 - The surprise from Norm is genuine; he was assured by Late Show employees that Dave wouldn't ask for the impression.
Babbage3 How do you know that? Sounds like an urban myth.
@@Patsy_Parisi You can see Norm talk about it here: ruclips.net/video/8ZClGJ917uM/видео.html
Norm's ability to be permanently charming and hilarious will never be replicated.
I didn't know Kimmel ripped off Letterman with this gag. Huh... well if you rye up off someone, might as well be one of the best , with the best comedian of all time.
Kimmel is a hack.
It's more of a pastiche
KIMMEL SUCKS!
@burteriksson, LARRY GIMMEL? My accountant? He sucks?
Everyone steals off of their influences.
Norm’s ‘sick cat’ story kills me every time. Such a simple, silly idea but he makes it hilarious in that way only he could do.
The chemistry between these two comedians is tremendous. Norm really loved Dave and I think Dave felt the same way. Watching two of the most intellectual, talented comics interact is sure joy. RIP Norm, so grateful for you making the most of your time here and sharing it with the rest of us.
Letterman just seems to _get_ Norm from the start; two incredibly ironic, self-deprecating guys just absolutely WASTING network time. it's wonderful stuff. thank you, Don.
everyone is talking about Kimmel ripping Dave off...it's easy when you have a front row seat 4:57 LOL
Hahaha good lord its him as an old codger
sgs1313 Old chunk of coal Kimmel
Yooooooo
Hahahaha
Hahaha
I guess now Norm can no longer be with us because he's stuck in the big storm in the sky :(
there is love between this guys, lovely to see them.
This is new to me and I've been looking for " new Norm" for years!!
Thank you
Damn I'm for real crying and laughing, my blood pressure has been never better! Norm is one of the best ever!
Norm’s poor cat. Suffered a massive heart attack due to all that cat stress. I heard that cat was up for a big promotion at work and just cracked under the pressure.
You got me with “...all that cat stress.” 😂😂😂
I didnt even know he was sick :/
Nah, his girlfriend wouldn't share her puss n'boots.
An invaluable compilation, thank you for all your effort!
More then u know!….🫵🏻🏆
Thanks Don, I get it now! I get why random people can make people "RUclips famous." it's because they enjoy their content to the point that it makes em happy to see a new upload. And Don I enjoy your content. Thank you.
you can tell Letterman loved Norm pretty much from the start
"I dont know a lot of words" should have been my high school quote
Holy shit the snowstorm gag is hilarious, I'd never seen that.
I like the joke he tells about the Hale-Bopp Asteroid... it's more of a comet, really.
Priceless! thank you so much for these!
I find his laugh and dimples so cute omg
I can watch these segments all day. I used to watch Dave when I was a kid and still enjoy this over the new stuff. Thanks Don! I hope he invites Norm to his Netflix show
Robi York He’s the first guest of the 2018-19 Netflix show.
Robi York yea it is a pity he retired. Fallon, Kimmel, Corden...are all crap, even Conan is not so funny anymore, too busy being political, being woke and bashing Trump non stop.
I agree. How " entertaining " is it to watch colbert saying things like " a cock holster for Vladimir Putin " every night? Going for applause rather than laughs. Laughs are much more difficult.
Don't count on it..
It's 2020 out there, and Norm Macdonald is still stuck in the snow blizzard.
Thanks Don , your collections are terrific & time saving , nice job!
Don you are a scholar and a gentleman.
And lemme guess, ur Canadian?
@@blacksheepsquadron6189 nope,hes a oscar pistorus fan
I’m 23 so I was born after these interviews aired. I was introduced to Norm after he passed away and have been binge watching all his content. It’s sad that I did not get to know his work while he was still with us but I’m grateful we had the chance to have such awesome comedian. RIP norm
I think I've watched all five of these Norm/Letterman vids about ten times each.
Norm passed away today and I cried. Love you Norm. ❤️
"Norm, you've just been superb!" Pretty much sums it up.
did anyone want to hear the end of the bum story?
He tells it on Conan
Jose Lujan comes time to pay the bill and Norm only has like 20 bucks. He says to the guy, you’re gonna have to pony up some of the dough there buddy. Yeah just look it up, he gets to finish the story on Conan.
Why didn't dave let him finish that bit I wonder...seemed like the urine stench part was too much for Dave and he was afraid of where that story was going to go
@@hv3115 Dave was PMS on that day. He didnt want anything to do with that story.
Yea that was odd dave changed the subject on him .... he was about to finish a joke for gods sake
Letterman is too PC for a silly homeless joke ?
holy crap holy crap holy crap, YOU'RE THE BEST, DON
I watched pt. 1 and just watched pt. 2 up to the end of "bump week" and I gotta say, watching Norm's growth from stand up, to being an actual guest and now included in a running gag... It just really makes his emotional final stand up appearance even more heartfelt if that was even possible. It's insane how easily it is to get down a Norm MacDonald rabbit hole for hours on end on You Tube.
What an incredible collection. I read your back story, as well. Mind blowing, man! Awesome job. 👍👍
Thanks, Chex!
@@dongiller you’re welcome 🙏
57:47 I like how Dave trying to handle norm by saying "Alright norm" 😭
0:14 anyone else spotted that pencil trick?
n10d34d damn!!
n10d34d WHAAAAT THAT WAS CRAZY LETTERMAN IS A JEDI
dave did it all the time....
It's amazing!
@ lmao dude. Cooters
Some of these appearances on Letterman are solid gold and I'm sorry I missed them. I even remember winter 96 but I missed that whole running gag.
Norm would always come on with that mischievous grin on his face. I just loved him, still do!
Thanks Don
