I wonder if there was any purpose from Norm bringing him on, like he was trying to set him up for the role he eventually got on the show. It seemed like he was always looking out for Artie.
And then him saying that in the call, Dan told him "blame me if you want" while neither host gets that he's riffing on what they were just saying was very funny
He was a special person, he had that perfect sense of humor, I find similar styles with Tom Green and Harland Williams, just a few zany, likeable Canadian goofballs!
Anything with Norm is perfect to fall asleep stoned to lol Riley Martins a trip too. The Norm MacDonald Live episodes are the best ever but really hard to find now 😢 with Gilbert, Saget, Carrey, Sandler, Swardson, Andy Dick, Tim Allen SOMEBODY BRING THEM BACK!!!!
@@AR-hg8fd RUclips Norm's stern appearances. He's responsible for the Artie years when he introduced him to Howard. Also Gilberts appearances on Stern were bonkers.
We all love you Norm❤, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you and the impact you had on comedy. One of the funniest comedians of all time. RIP man
I love Gange's interviewing skills at the beginning. "Is it because it's gonna help you out? Does it help you out? Will it help you out? A lot of people listen, is it because it will help you out?"
So funny. He rarely dropped the act in public and I love him for it. It was all about what he found funny and respected, even at the audiences expense.
Wow, this was recently dropped and so many comments already!!! I'm glad to be a part of this moment, i love Norm, and the ston every night watching this tickled me lol I'm super stone smoking was drinking wine rn
this is genius, howard stern is a tough lock to crack, and norm did it perfectly here, and kept cool with NBC. all those jokes about OJ and he's still cool with his OJ's friend?? Why? theres a lot you don't see and norm is playing the game masterfully even jay z is getting away with what he's doing like norm is. norm once spit his boogers into a napkin and passed it to howard and howard freaked out ... norm is incredible genius. next level.
@@Bigredwillol he called him an idiot and worse multiple times for not getting his humor or for asking ridiculous questions but it was always in a friendly way.
Howard was too simple-minded to get Norm’s humor. The part where Norm is saying the president dude was “a good guy” and then lists allegations against him, it took Stern a couple of minutes to understand. That was the thing about Norm, he played the every man but was actually extremely smart. Other people like this include Letterman and Conan, who take on the role of an everyman but do so solely for comedic purposes.
Probably would have not noticed myself.. In person though, I feel like it can be difficult to think sober people totally buy into what someone that's open about their pick of poison, and very non-consequential about it. By now, i see this as simply a troubled man trying to pay his shame through humility. Can be okay, but doesn't sustain over the years unfortunately.
Bruh I cringed watching this. I loved Howard, and I know they are comedians, but the way they make fun of this dude when he is just tryna tell them about himself is crazy. The disrespect
I'm watching this for Norm- I cannot stand Stern. He was good back then but anymore he's a piece of shit. But it was cool to see how Artie became part of the show. I know nothing about the lore of Stern's show.
shit's deep. beetlejuice, bababoey, High Pitch Erik , Siobhan smelly vagina, Eric the Midget, John the Stutterer, and KC who turned out to be a psyco. good stuff.
Whoever posts these videos, just play the clips, we don't care about your stupid unfunny little video bits that you put in between. We are here for Howard, not you.
norm casually bringing in a future centerpiece of the show
Haha. Was fucking awesome hearing Stern say “what’s this guys name?” “Artie Lange”
History in the making.
I wonder if there was any purpose from Norm bringing him on, like he was trying to set him up for the role he eventually got on the show. It seemed like he was always looking out for Artie.
Artie was the best part of the show, I liked Jackie but the Artie years were so damn good
the first bit where norm plays dumb about the lorne michaels/don ohlmeyer thing is genius
And then him saying that in the call, Dan told him "blame me if you want" while neither host gets that he's riffing on what they were just saying was very funny
One of the most genius thing I have seen! Playing the "fool" yet being the master of the situation
God I miss norm so much :/ only person outside my family I’ve ever been upset when they passed
it was Macho Man Randy Savage for me
Cried when Norm died. He was the best.
lol that's ridiculous
I was sad when Superdave and Gilbert died too. But Norm was like losing one of the cornerstones of legit funniness in the world
He was a special person, he had that perfect sense of humor, I find similar styles with Tom Green and Harland Williams, just a few zany, likeable Canadian goofballs!
Artie always seemed genuinely happy around Norm. It wasn’t often you saw that.
Artie’s origin is just casually thrown into this epic compilation.
norm x howard IS arties origin (with howard)
I watch this every night as I fall asleep stoned as a mf'er.
lol I thought I was the only one

Yea we should start a club
+1
Norms the fuckin best. We miss you so much norm. Thanks uploader
We all love you Norm❤, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you and the impact you had on comedy. One of the funniest comedians of all time. RIP man
Norm was in his Dirty Work era for first clip... wearing 3 XXXL Clothes... SICKKK
Thank you for posting this. I've never seen the full version before
Artie Lang being introduced into the Howard Stern universe and that train wreck of a story by Norm MacDonald on a whim. is classic.
Norm was the most entertaining entertainer of all time
A dude from France with a backpack sneaks in the studio and they just laugh it off. The good ol' days.
I wonder if he was the last dude Norm saw before he died.
Norm got fired for shitting on OJ on update.
He got fired for not being okay with Jim Downey getting the boot, and going with him
Not the whole truth. Norm has said that Lorne had a part in it
jesus christ stern can’t let people talk for shit
We were so young back then
I love Gange's interviewing skills at the beginning. "Is it because it's gonna help you out? Does it help you out? Will it help you out? A lot of people listen, is it because it will help you out?"
hey it was a step up from "so, how was it?"
Norm MacDonald is the most casually funny person of all time
Was this Howard meeting Artie for the first time??
Yes
Artie's story about copping a bag while dressed in pig make up is one I highly recommended.
So funny. He rarely dropped the act in public and I love him for it. It was all about what he found funny and respected, even at the audiences expense.

Wouldn't have Artie on Stern if it wasn't for Norm
I guess that’s the only thing not to like about Norm.

Love norm playing dumb about Lorne. It was obvious to Norm but stern really thought Norm was clueless
Love ya Artie
Anyone knows Norm knows that he just went with the flow and made the Don Ohlmaher story up, by saying he said "blame me if that's what they say"
Holy Jesus I wish Norm was here to do commentary on the Harris-Trump circus 😢
We can only imagine
yeah cause he's so well known for doing political comedy
I thought it was over his OJ ribbing.
It was, Howard is a consipiratorial idiot and a scumbag
He stole OJs lucky stabbing hat
Subscribed!!..
It’s crazy that if Norm was never fired from weekend update, Artie might have never been on the show
Norm is one of the funniest mf's on the planet, its sad Howard doesn't get his sense of humor.
I think that it helped their conversations because Norm was one of the only people who would put Howard down to his face. In a funny way but still
@@bigmoose99I love Norm like few others but he yessir'd Howard like few other non-staff members did.

Stan from Paris 🤣 thats one of the funniest moments I’ve seen wtf, and would only happen with Norm 1:14:39
Seriously 😂
Legendary appearance
Tom Cruise knows where Shelly Miscavige is.
It’s not a big mystery lol she’s working for the cult as always
Black guy in jail says to Artie about doing coke, he says: "what the hell you put that shit on cheeseburgers"?
Norm, we didn't deserve you, but we needed you. Norm is Batman 🎉
Artie in full nod at 1:49:30 and nobody notices

It’s sad when Norm was joking about playing for leukemia on who wants to be a millionaire. That’s how he died.
I wonder if norm brought one of his doctors in. That “he’s the last person you’ll see in your life” line could have been a morbid joke.
I wanna see P Diddy on the Howard stern show
Artie is the best
23:35 in sync!
52:33 Norm had balls for making fun of Howard pretending a couple grand is a lot of money... It's such a sore spot for ol Hamptons Howie.
Looking back at this i feel like norm is kissing don olmeiers ass bevause howard is getting so pissed off its funny lmao
Norm was a babe
Young Norm gets me hard and I’m not even gay. I’m a deeply closeted gay man.
When was this aired?
Which one?
@ first one
2024
MadTV > SNL
So was this the first time that Howard met Artie ?
What’s with all the bots?
Bruh I cringed watching this. I loved Howard, and I know they are comedians, but the way they make fun of this dude when he is just tryna tell them about himself is crazy. The disrespect
This is a great example of how Howard Stern is a clown

Dear God Howard Stern was a terrible host.
Love how Howard knows and likes Norm as an equal, probably close IQs, Norm maybe a little higher...

Here for Howard? It’s a tribute to Norm not Stern.
