Hi Veena,keep adding a little icing sugar at a time till you get the thick consistency,I hope when you separated the egg none of the yolk fell into it as that tends to make the icing watery,also did you add the lemon juice..most important tip is when you beat the egg whites they should stiffen before you add the icing sugar etc..hope this is helpful.
