I’m always glad that Guga doesn’t use his rub for every single thing he makes. A lot of other cooking channels basically force you to buy their rub because they use it for everything, but Guga normally sticks to salt, pepper and garlic 90% of the time!

Wisconsin's Solly's Grille, the creator of the original butterburger since 1936, has stewed onions as well. So good but literally a tasty heart attack in a dish of melted butter. They actually use more butter than Guga's version.

Culvers is good, but if you're in Milwaukee, try Solly's Grille. That is a legit butter burger. Honestly Milwaukee has a number of good burger places. Probably the best non butter burger combo is at Oscar's Winner's Circle.
A good way to digest very fatty meals is to drink some alcohol. The alcohol will emulsify the fat, making it easier to digest. Only problem is: to solve this problem with burgers like these: you'll be "drunk as a skunk", when the meal is finished. 🤣😅😂

The wisconsin butter burger reminds me exactly of Solly's grill in Milwaukee...they thickly butter the buns, set the patty down and let it melt down for 5 minutes or so before serving. Comes out swimming in butter. Been to a lot of wisconsin burger joints, but solly's is unique.
My favorite butter ON THE PLANET right now is Kirkland Grass Fed Salted Butter from New Zealand in the bright green box at Costco. Land O' Lakes was my favorite for most of my life, then found KerryGold recently which took over the top spot for a couple of months before being toppled by the Kirkland brand. If you are making any of these burgers, I HIGHLY recommend trying this butter from Costco! Loved the video guys!

I can beat you with this... me and my wife do Keto. When I make my own burgers, once I have made my mince beef, I don't use butter, I add a good quality beef tallow (we call it beef dripping in the UK) the beef and the beef tallow has to be room temperature or else they don't combine properly. For the cheese, I will use a non-stick pot and fry x4 slices of bacon and cook them inside the pot until they are crispy. Remove and put to one side. I like to use a combination of extra mature cheddar, mozzarella, and a little bit of full fat cream cheese, add them to the pot that you just cooked the bacon in and heat, low and slow... you can add a splash of garlic and chilli paste and some onion powder to the cheese as it melts. Make sure you keep it all moving so it doesn't stick. Toast your burger bun in the fat which comes out of the burgers which you should cook in a pan or on a flat skillet. Pour the cheese on top of the burger before giving it its burger bun lid, serve, and have emergency services on standby... unless your keto... then the fat is all good 😂

Just had culvers a couple weeks ago. One of the best burgers ive ever had on krishnu. Best burger ive ever had was a home made from scratch elvis burger. Thick cut maple bacon, deep fried sweet plantaines, crunchy peanut butter, brioche buns i bleieve, maybe kings hawaiian im not sure, 80/20 beef. Absolute heaven.

As salame is fermented meat product, you could use the same method with a starter culture, but cook the meat instead of drying it after fermentation. The USDA actually has guidelines for the pH and time to pH target in the danger zone aka degree hours listed in their knowledge repository, FSIS.
I kinda feel like any smash burger is always going to win over a burger that isn't. The crust and deep caramelization just gives you that unbeatable deep beefy flavor.

I have watched soo many of your videos and I enjoy them all. Also with the fact you experiment with the food you cook. That being said why in your burger videos it's only American cheese you use? I honestly think you use other cheeses to fit the burger. Would that be possible? Like if you are going a bit spicy use pepper jack cheese. Or another burger with Swiss etc. Just kindly switch it up from time to time if it's possible. For example only a triple decker smashburger with pepper jack,bacon and ranch would be absolute 🔥..ijs. The "Wisconsin" butter burger is famous at Culver's, and all it means is they butter and toast the bun. I'm sure these are fantastic, and I've pan-fried plenty of burgers in butter, but it's all about the bun!
Since I'm in Tennesee, the closest I get to a good butter burger is Culver's, which is supposed to be from Wisconsin, and they make a Great burger. We've never had a bad experience there, and even the couple times something got messed up, they fixed it quickly. Their employees always seemed to enjoy their job and the food has been great. They even rotate specials like a gastroburger and Pickerel now and then.
