Serum cholesterol is endogenous. Dietary cholesterol isn't its cause.

Wisconsin's Solly's Grille, the creator of the original butterburger since 1936, has stewed onions as well. So good but literally a tasty heart attack in a dish of melted butter. They actually use more butter than Guga's version.

I’m always glad that Guga doesn’t use his rub for every single thing he makes. A lot of other cooking channels basically force you to buy their rub because they use it for everything, but Guga normally sticks to salt, pepper and garlic 90% of the time!

I kinda feel like any smash burger is always going to win over a burger that isn't. The crust and deep caramelization just gives you that unbeatable deep beefy flavor.

@@ActuallyEric As a Wisconsinite and avid griller, I'd say don't waist your time boiling them in beer or creating a beer bath. Grill and serve, other two methods over cook the brat. They also add no flavor to the brat.

Your not alone
A good way to digest very fatty meals is to drink some alcohol. The alcohol will emulsify the fat, making it easier to digest.
Only problem is: to solve this problem with burgers like these: you'll be "drunk as a skunk", when the meal is finished.

My favorite butter ON THE PLANET right now is Kirkland Grass Fed Salted Butter from New Zealand in the bright green box at Costco. Land O' Lakes was my favorite for most of my life, then found KerryGold recently which took over the top spot for a couple of months before being toppled by the Kirkland brand. If you are making any of these burgers, I HIGHLY recommend trying this butter from Costco! Loved the video guys!
Hi guga, love your videos, i saw a video of a guy mixing beef stock with gelatin and later pushing it through a sieve, and mixing the small pieces of gelly stock into the burger mix.
Wonder if you can do a video and give it a try.
Also i would love to see you trying to grate the cured yolks you make into a burger mix and see how it turns out

As someone that just moved from Maryland to Illinois, about 20 minutes from the Wisconsin border, I gotta say I can’t agree enough, my first butter burger was heaven, but it’s not gonna be my last

Culvers is good, but if you're in Milwaukee, try Solly's Grille. That is a legit butter burger. Honestly Milwaukee has a number of good burger places. Probably the best non butter burger combo is at Oscar's Winner's Circle.

The "Wisconsin" butter burger is famous at Culver's, and all it means is they butter and toast the bun. I'm sure these are fantastic, and I've pan-fried plenty of burgers in butter, but it's all about the bun!

As a big fan from Wisconsin, the butter burger is huge here. If you ever get a chance to come to WI, you should go to Culver’s for their butterburgers.
They have Culver's in Florida too. Can confirm. Delicious
If anyone is ever in Milwaukee, go to Solly's Grille which has a burger similar to the second one in this video. They use a ton of butter.

Since I'm in Tennesee, the closest I get to a good butter burger is Culver's, which is supposed to be from Wisconsin, and they make a Great burger. We've never had a bad experience there, and even the couple times something got messed up, they fixed it quickly. Their employees always seemed to enjoy their job and the food has been great. They even rotate specials like a gastroburger and Pickerel now and then.

Any interest in returning to the fermented burger in a safe way? As salame is fermented meat product, you could use the same method with a starter culture, but cook the meat instead of drying it after fermentation. The USDA actually has guidelines for the pH and time to pH target in the danger zone aka degree hours listed in their knowledge repository, FSIS.

The wisconsin butter burger reminds me exactly of Solly's grill in Milwaukee...they thickly butter the buns, set the patty down and let it melt down for 5 minutes or so before serving. Comes out swimming in butter. Been to a lot of wisconsin burger joints, but solly's is unique.

TIP: Just made it for lunch, you have to go with the Land O Lakes butter on this one. Kerrygold doesn't taste that good when grilling, and it didn't get the crispy texture.

I have watched soo many of your videos and I enjoy them all. Also with the fact you experiment with the food you cook. That being said why in your burger videos it's only American cheese you use? I honestly think you use other cheeses to fit the burger. Would that be possible? Like if you are going a bit spicy use pepper jack cheese. Or another burger with Swiss etc. Just kindly switch it up from time to time if it's possible. For example only a triple decker smashburger with pepper jack,bacon and ranch would be absolute 🔥..ijs. Of course on a brioche bun. Up to you guys to implement it,just throwing out a suggestion. I hope you even consider it. Again,I absolutely love your videos and will keep watching. Just had culvers a couple weeks ago. One of the best burgers ive ever had on krishnu. Best burger ive ever had was a home made from scratch elvis burger. Thick cut maple bacon, deep fried sweet plantaines, crunchy peanut butter, brioche buns i bleieve, maybe kings hawaiian im not sure, 80/20 beef. Absolute heaven.
Please use A1 Steak Sauce to dry age a steak. It has everything that would be good to dry age in.

I remember, when I was a kid, there was a restaurant that I quite enjoyed going to. One of their burgers was so juicy, it was amazing. I learned that they did something similar to this, but with slightly less butter. Then, one day, a couple come to the restaurant, and they asked for more butter after a single bite. Waitress goes and get maybe 3-4 of those small butter cups restaurants have. They ask for even more. Thinking that they were joking, the waitress laughed a bit. The guy said they aren't joking, and that they go through a pound of butter each PER DAY. I guess this is what they were eating 3 times a day.

Hey guga! I worked at a smashy boi joint for a while. I’d like to see your opinion on using stainless. No butter, no oil for the meat. If you don’t have to scrape your Patty off the grill it’s not correct. Use 2oz meat. Form a ball, MAKE SURE THE MEAT STICKS TO THE GRILL! Smash hard, season, then scrape and flip. I’d love to see your opinion
