Great tour. The aluminum laser welded panels are a game changer - looks great. Electric corrosion and sweating (condensation) in cold seas - are the two points I wondered about. Do you insulate walls to avoid condensation?
Yes they have to for an explorer cat to be energy efficient and livable in all conditions. A electric diesel hybrid drive with solar would make this truly great. Scania diesel generators powering the E motors .. that way you have two power saving systems 30-50 percent more fuel efficiency running in series from the Stoichiometric generator .. and stealth/silent mode just at cruising speed endurance for a day... There's already a high-speed 55kn patrol boat expt. built in Sweden. Using electric does away with gearboxes..pollution noise in harbour and inshore fuel type restrictions and a lot of maintainance and waste heat. 😎🧙🏼♂️
