    Alexei is a rockstar🤩It's wonderful to have someone who does something right from the ground up and also knows what's important. He doesn't reinvent the wheel, but he does everything right and doesn't cheat anywhere. Comfort and safety and durability.I am a big fan of him and bering's boats and catamarans.

    To Alexis and Rico thank you so much for the videos. I love watching stuff from baring yachts. I love watching naughty style, naughty guys you guys uplift me every day when I see videos from you guys or if I go back and look at old videos sadly I’m sick. I’m not gonna make 60 so watching your videos make me go into a dreamworld where I hope when I pass, I get to stay in those dreams I’m afraid to die. There’s nothing I can do about it and just gonna run its course so thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for the videos you make my days every time I see them you uplift me both of you and your beautiful wife Victoria thank you so very much to all of youJohn from South Jersey in the US the good part of the state lol thanks again guys John

    It seemed to me a few years ago that Bering Yachts were way ahead of the competition, I am thrilled to say that
    I still hold that view. Videos like this that are just damn right honest go a long way in educating Yachtsmen and women that, the only way to go is the Bering way.

    Awesome series about production range, thanks a lot! ❤⚓
    Any plans to expand the size range, 50 feet for example - owner operated? The market needs a simple (operation, maintenance...) and efficient (fuel consumption, convenient size for mooring in marinas...) machine for safe (Al hull) and comfortable (volume of living spaces) circumnavigation. What do you think?)

    This is like having coffee with your Father and uncle while deciding which 'fishing' boat we will take to the Gulf of Mexico. Us Cajuns love fishing. I can't wait to sit down with Alexei and have a sundowner.
    EDIT: Let me give KUDOs to the editor of this video. It is wonderful how the topic evolves, and none of the usual 'uhs, umms,'' or other infractions take away from the beauty of the topic. It's about boating, period. On that note, back to the video.
    EDIT AGAIN: The negative windscreen on the pilothouse is a must for me. Seeing it on the CATs is a HUUGGGEEE pull from the mono hull for me. Having that '3k sgft' or more with that draft is a dream come true. As a chef, fisherman, and explorer, I could want nothing more than a Bering CAT. I know I have had my heart set on the 70 Explorer, but this video is my swing vote for the cat.
    Thank you both for an insightful and moving interview.

    We love your features. We have a question on another matter, however, ventilation.
    When touring boats, Rico and Victoria often point out openable windows and hatches for cross breezes and fresh air and ventilation. We have been on small boats, weekenders, on which the forward cabin has taken on a locker room odour. Even on rag tops and open boats, the storage lockers often smell like gym lockers. On boats like the Bering’s, how do you get fresh air in and stale air out of the lower decks? Especially, how do you ventilate out the hot damp air from people like me who enjoy long hot steamy showers? How do you keep storm water and sea spray from entering the system?
    James and Kathy

    • @Beringyachts
      @Beringyachts  3 месяца назад +2

      Thank you! We are installing fresh air make up units which take the fresh air from outside and conditioning then sending trough ductings to the A/C fan coils, and individual silence exhaust fans or central extraction units takes the air and sending away from the vessel. We consider at least 6 air change per hour for a healthy interior ambient.

    I’m very excited to see both the first cat and the first 88. One thing I’d love to know more about is the comfort of the cat while at anchor. It’s my understanding that you can’t use a stabilizer system for them so how do they feel at anchor? Or even under way when being hit on the beam with significant swell or waves?

  • @222INFINITY
    @222INFINITY 3 месяца назад

    Great presentation gentlemen, so exciting to see what's coming from Bering. Cats certainly are the future for the vast majority of pleasure boats for cruisers, one thing you might want to pay attention to is the freeboard height and how it effects the number of stairs to the platform from the cockpit. The Sunreef 80 works very well, a great design, the Sunreef 100 is just too high, way too many stairs to the platform, making the most important area of the boat awkward, in my opinion. $13.5 mil is a big number for 80 feet!!!!!!!

    Like catamarans any type I'm interested in. So interested in what Bering is doing with their 60, smallest, 70 medium side, and 80's biggest of the three of the aluminum boats.
    They look like from the pictures like an apartment, home from home which is useful as they are explorer ships.
    How quiet will they be? Engine or generator noise, people moving around, as the fiberglass cats sound travels. But Bering with their aluminum is trying for much quieter boat, for family or charter.

    There is a new propeller for smaller boats, for better fuel efficiency.
    For yachts, I saw Rico's video with a new propeller design, for better efficiency. And moving the weight better. With a different design.
    It has a raised plastic piece into a groove on each propeller blade. Adding a little more push, to move a yacht.
    And that keeps the water from moving off the propeller as usual.
    It eeps the water flow on the propeller slightly longer.
    Instead of flowing off as in most propeller designs.

      @@MrBDub Yes, that's the one I was talking about, for boats.
      I'm not sure it would work well, with a lot of weight of a yacht. Like 150 to 180 tons or higher.
      They still need a bigger prop to push the weight.
      The other props might just spin, with less push for a heavy yacht.

    How often does a yacht or catamaran need oil changes?

    • @Aeroswine1776
      @Aeroswine1776 3 месяца назад +1

      There is a general rule of 250 hours in standard use 150 in severe use. But most yachts aren't really sailed much so they just change their oil once a year.

    • @woolyimage
      @woolyimage 3 месяца назад

      The sailing yacht I owned had a recommendation of 200 hours for oil changes for a Perkins based Volvo engine. Which is around what the previous respondent mentioned. For these motor yachts oil changes would be based on manufacturers recommendations. I think these larger marine engines would have longer intervals but you’d need to take specific advice.

    I hope someday soon that Bering uses a hydrogen fuel cell for certain models of their yachts. Hydrogen is ideal for large vessels and they could be completely electric with an unlimited range. The technology exists so the criticisms of yesteryear are no longer valid. I think it would make Bering even more appealing than it is already and put them way ahead of any competitors. Cheers

    I can see that there will be a lot of marinas that won't accept the 80 because of it's size or charge more than a super yacht.

    Well great. I thought when I hit the lottery, I was getting a Bering 125 or 145, and now the BC70 and 80 will exist. This means I can sfill get the 125, but I can get the BC70 as well.

    Pity they didn't consider a 50 as well, much more practical for a couple cruising in remote locations.

    I have head that marinas hate cat's because they are so wide, they charge you for two slips, so your cost to more these boats will cost you double. I never heard anyone mention this...
