Note: I am not a professional winemaker. I hold no responsibility if the results of your winemaking caused injury or ill health. This is as natural (where possible) winemaking channel. The wines made on this channel do not use sulfites. You may use them and\or yeast nutrients and or energizers if that is how you prefer to make your wine\mead. This channel uses pasteurization.
Ingredients:
6 pounds fresh cherries
3 pounds (4 cups) sugar
1 gallon filtered water
1/2 cup black tea
1/4 lemon (modified 7/22)
1/4 teaspoon Wine Yeast (Red Star Premier Classique)
During the first 3 days give your musk a good stir, and to break up the fruit cap that will form if you are not using straining bags. There will be a lot of foam. Rack into secondary after 5 - 7 days, and continue to rack every 4-6 weeks until clear. Degas, back sweeten, bottle let age for at least 12 months total.

Congratulations on your grandchild.
Congrats. Grandchildren are one of the few things life gives you after it starts taking things away. Enjoy! And cheers
Your videos are my favourite thing to watch on a Sunday night. Keep up the good work
You put out great content , congratulations Grandpa , im going to be a Grandpa for the first time expected late October or early November 🎉🎉.
Congratulations on your grandchild. I really enjoy seeing that smile on your face when you have made a good batch of wine
Looks delicious, and congrats on the grandkid!
Well I just saw this vid so I'm a little late to the party but.....
Congrats on becoming a grand dad! Oh and I am going to try this cherry wine out after christmas. It will be my First real fruit wine.
Got some going last month....used a cherry pitter that did 6 at a time before freezing them.
Hey grandpa you are great! i know you will grow much more
Another great video, I have really been enjoying your channel.
Congrats on the new grandbaby! great vid as usual
Awesome video ❤
Glad you liked it
Try making wine with Raisins, Cardamom, and Cinnamon next! Show us how you like that and call the video "Sobia" wine ;)
Congrats on the grandchild! Was looking forward to your feedback on this one, I plan on getting a batch going soon.
How would you rank this among all the wines you've made?
Can I add the black tea after fermentation for more tannins ?
What is the reason you pour the waste in a bag and put it in the tank?
Congratulations on becoming a grandpa! Good looking wine need to try making one!
I notice he didn't use the bread yeast in the tea bag boil/ yeast nutrients
This video was shot prior to my learning about homemade yeast nutrients, and I'm not really a big tannin fan for all my wines.
Just curious, you started with 6 lbs of fresh cherries what was the weight of pitted cherries? Would 5 lbs of frozen be equivalent? Thank you for making these wonderful videos.
Sorry, the weight of the pitts was not a consideration in the making of this video.
I use frozen fruit alot for making wine in general 4lbs to a gallon and prefer lalvin k1-v1116 yeast for fruit wines and ec-1118 for grape wines.
only boil 1 quart of water = wait time cut in half 🤷♂️
It's MUST not MUSK. That's been driving me crazy for years. Must is wine before fermentation (simplified), where musk is a smell, normally associated with deer and their mating habits.
