  • Although at the moment we are out of season, today I propose another homemade wine, thanks to Gianluca's recipe, the Cherry Wine.
    You will need:
    Cherries 3 kg
    Sugar 2 kg

      @@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato Sadly, the fermenting buckets that I ordered from Amazon never arrived, and the bottles arrived smashed into a million pieces. Not going to waste any more money on it. 😞 I'll enjoy watching you do it.

      @@jcortese3300 Ask the local restaurants for old mayonnaise buckets. They want rid of them and will gladly give them to you. They are food safe. Drill holes to fit your taps and airlocks. I use them for everything.

    Thank you for your wine making videos. You have inspired me and I am making a bunch of small batches this autumn. I have a question about your technique. You often put aluminum foil over the bottles, I assume to keep the bottle clean. Is there a reason for using aluminum foil specifically?

    Hi , if we dont find the right yeast , can we add ordinary yeast or should we do it without putting any yeast ?
    If the cherries are more darker colour / more sweet can we add less sugar in our fermenter or we should always add more sugat like you did in your video ?

      Regarding the gravity when bottling the wine is still sweet. The yeast used here can go up 16° of alcohol. So there is one thing to understand : the fermentation is probably not done yet (gravity should be near 1000): risk of bottle explosion…. The best practice with such end gravity reading is to « kill the yeast » by bringing up the wine temp to 55° during 15 min and after you can keep it for 2 years easily.

    This must have turned out extremely sweet.
    Perhaps try making it dry or in-between dry & semy dry. Maybe also add some blackberries like 1lb .

      @@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato ok 😅 I read somewhere that the fermenter must be food grade. Either PET or PP is recommended since alcohol can leech chemicals from other plastics apparently. Usually type of plastic is written at the bottom of your fermenter.

    I did this recipe but when cherry comes up in the first 7 days i opend the container and stir the cherry and put them down and then put the top and the air lock i just did it 3 times is it ok? Or maybe its a fault leads to oxidation? Can you help me ? Thanks
