Thanks for clarifying that Arthur Barrow. So it's definitely NOT a lost Doors song. It's a Robbie Krieger / Arthur Barrow song, recorded long after the Doors finished.
The Doors were the first American group, which wasn't pieced together from some previous "super group", to have a #1 hit single on their very 1st record. The first to stay on the top 20 for 6 MONTHS! The first American group to earn a platinum album. Their 5 studio albums all went gold. Is everybody in?! There was nothing like them before, and nothing like them since. Q: Who did they sound like? A: Nobody! The Doors sounded like "The Doors". They were American Originals! So.... is everybody in?!
I liked Robbie's slide guitar work, so did Jim. Trained musicians and a poet, the Doors had a unique sound. I liked the Vox and Kalamazoo keyboards. John's drumming was tasteful, never overbearing, but sophisticated enough to give an subtle feeling. At least we have a body of their work to enjoy.
This Robby's aquatic/liquid guitar is unique and unbeliavable! The images accompained with this tune makes it NOSTALGIC! Thanks for your liquid magic Robert Alan Krieger!
Just Saw Robby last night with The Jazz Kitchen (Zappa) in Somerville MA, what an unforgettable night. They opened up with Chungas Revenge then played this song.. I can't believe Robby still got it like that, sounding as good as ever.Got to shake his hand with a pat on the back like it was nothing, like oh my gah, this is Robby Krieger... The band rocked. I'm still high off of last night. Great show!
He plays like the breeze. Like watching a kite dart around, bouncing, weaving a tapestry of sound and texture. I'd love to hear Robbie jam with a Jamaican steel drum artist!
Go Robbie! No mistaking that style, when i took guitar lessons years ago, i knew my second teacher was the right guy cause when i said, " i want my practice/ homework you give me ta be Robbies stuff too, plz" , he smiled and said, " yeah, i did the same".
WOW Arthur barrow I love this and Robby's guitar since 1967 I didn't know at the time being a young player that my favorite guitar parts were on slide, because his playing was so clean. Like Moonlight Drive. Buying this music tonight...Thanks
This must have been floating in Robbys head back in 69 or 70 and just popped out years later. I think this one is the most Doors like of all the solo stuff
FUCKING BRILLIANT!!! THE DOORS WERE NOT JIM, IT WAS THE EXPERTESE OF ALL THE OTHER INTRUMENTS. JIM WOULD BE NOBODY WITHOUT AN EXCELLANT GUITAR PLAYER, DRUMMER AND KEYBOARDIST AND BASS. LISTEN TO THIS, ITS EXQUISITE PLAYING. THEY WERE ALL VERY TALENTED PPL. IT MADE A GREAT WHOLE.
@laulinde I'm glad you like this video and thanks for your nice comment dude. To tell you honestly, most footage was released within their latest movie "when you are strange". Sincerely Rob
It certainly is praise because he says it's a complete jewel. I certainly agree with him and just like everyone else that commented on this channel. Robby Krieger was certainly a great guitar player. That comment that he gave was it Spanish and I speak the language. Muy buen commentario que dijo de Robby Krieger.
hey Robert ,the doors is only the band which will exist this world forever ,I am very very big fan of you guys esp late JIM MORRISON just can'nt define .so sad abt ray god bless him ,but its really good to see a reply back from robert which is unbelievable wondering who will be the next doors in the human history after you guys
This is certainly very incredible because without Robby Krieger and his guitar playing, the Doors wouldn't have been complete without him. He certainly was a guitar genius at his best because he wrote Light My Fire and Peace Frog. In Peace Frog where it says there's blood in the streets of New Haven. He was bringing awareness to abortions that were taking place in America at the time. Robby Krieger was also a deep thinker.
world's most underrated guitarist
why underrated¡ no true
underrated ? Robby is god of sound
Yes sir
@@greenriver8649 Underrated means he doesn't get the credit he deserves
@@jkmorrison1013 ok makes sense
Few people can play slide guitar like him. He's just amazing, and original.
Robbie is such a brilliant guitarist...and songwriter.

"Singularity" album is really GREAT! I like ALL the tracks... VERY GOOD MUSICS! Thanks Arthur and Robby

dave johnson they had folk and blues influence....
The ceremony is about to begin✌
🤘🏼
@@bernardob1875 More Blues, very little to no Folk influence. I don't know of ANY Door's songs that sound even remotely Folk.

icredible always magic musicality in robbyes phrasing ...same of bottle neck, finger, pick....genious

Awesome guitar bottle neck...Robbie Kruger on Let It Slide!.
jazz, blues, honk, rock...these cats covered it all musically and were blessed to have Jim ...words married music perfectly..
Well said, mate.
Piece of art.
Phenomenal slide playing. Such a wonderful, charismatic tone.
Always excellent guitar work from the musical genius, Robbie Krieger!
seeing all this makes me so HAPPY

I think this sounds so much better than what most guitarists do
WOW Arthur barrow I love this and Robby's guitar since 1967 I didn't know at the time being a young player that my favorite guitar parts were on slide, because his playing was so clean. Like Moonlight Drive. Buying this music tonight...Thanks
what a masterpiece

The doors could have made it alone but wouldn't have the magnitude with Jims voice and amazing words.
How could anyone thumbs down this? So beautiful💙🎸
The melody is high, it make me feel so nice...
Brilliant.. love it. This is rare a tune dominated by slide melting blues and jazz in a groovy way.
