    The purpose for that type of seat is for you to shift your weight according to your terrain. On ruff choppy sections/ obstacles you want to sit back a little to keep the front wheel light. For cornering and accelerating with more control you want your weight in front of the power. The seat is long and flat so you can shift your weight quickly and easily. ( watch motocross a bit you’ll see).

      Neil Armstrong Continental’s are the best but don’t last that long because you can ride so hard. I went for a Perrelli Angel on the back of my old LC4 super motto. Harder in the middle with soft outer walls. I found it a very good tyre indeed 👍

    Supermotos are the bee's knees! When they're this good, they're awesome. When they're shite (like my previous AJP PR3 240 Supermoto) they're still awesome. I regret not filming some motovlogs on the thing - it had terrible reliability but was fun as hell. You can't beat those ergos and that lack of weight! 26:17 - 28:02 That thing looks beautiful, KTM really know how to make good looking bikes.

    The reason the dash doesn't turn off is because it's not running off the bikes power. It's got it's own standalone battery. The 701 and this bike are essentially the same except the 701 has less features. The dash on both are exactly the same. They do in fact turn off after a short period of time.

Therefore it's mean to be ridden on the street and on the street you better give me a proper dash. I bet you can't give one single argument why we should have such a bare bones ugly dash on a STREET bike.

    @chaseontwowheels Bruh, you can’t just put “73.5 torque at...” KTM measures in Newton-meters, while we in the US measure in pound-feet. 73.5Nm converts to 54.2lb-ft of torque. Otherwise, you’re making a 690cc single sound like it’s making as much torque as the 1050cc triple in the Speed Triple.

      William Orellana biggest difference is electronics package. The 690 has auto blipper and quick shifter 701 does not. I believe the 690 has a slightly higher gas tank as well other then that they are essentially the same bike d same engine. But I have been told the 701 is smoother then the 690

    You’re better off buying the Enduro R and buying a set of SMC rims. Then you have the best of both worlds. The SMC is not convertible like the Enduro. Did that with my 2016 and I love it. 15 minute swap from SMC to Enduro. Oh and get a Wings exhaust, seat concepts seat, Scott’s Damper.

  • @patryk996
    @patryk996 4 года назад

    You should be sitting way up front. It puts your body in the center of the bike. Sitting back on the seat allows dramatic weight transfer. In motocross, it's used to change the weight from balanced to rear and increase the traction through burms, etc. Sitting back will also cause you to wheelie easier. You'd likely have a better experience overall sitting forward on the seat.

    I have the 2018 Enduro R (same bike more or less minus electronics and SM wheels) and the biggest complaint is false neutrals. that said, you get used to it after it scares you the first half dozen times. But it's a total hoot. Like you i don't really go off-road so i am thinking of ordering the kit to convert it to SM. Other than that, no complaints and I'm pretty fortunate it to have it. As you mentioned in your video, it is my "everything" bike...
    except for the fact that i am admittedly nervous as hell about learning to wheelie on it...

      Same on the dash! Once you learn a bike you don't look at that shit anyways. Only thing that would have been nice is a fuel gauge instead of a gas light. Just got my credit cards paid off and going to the dealer next month for one!

    lmao the dash is like from 1960s, one of the hardest seats are there and very high up sitting, there is options for aftermarket seats also like seat concepts, and come on KTM by now you would expect a freaking gear indicator but no they had to use a way smaller dash lol nice review obviously very quiet with that stock can definitely worth a aftermarket exhaust
