- Take a ride in the beast that is lloyd Smith`s KE71 Corolla at Baskerville Raceway at the final round of the Tasmania Drift Series 2010. Boasting new engine modifications to the 1UZFE 4L V8, only running a soft tune for the day with plenty more in reserve. Crank up the volume and enjoy!
Engine Modifications:
- 14.1 compression pistons
- 1.5mm oversized exhaust valves
- mild port work
- ITB`s lengthened 100mm
- Aggressive cams
In video was dynoed at 210kw at the wheels at 7000rpm, retuned with 100% E85 fuel and is now making 270kw and 700nm at the wheels!

@cozgur01 haha nah not sped up hes that fast, even faster now. Yep wide angle GoPro HD 720p mode 171 deg angle.
Valve bounce? if that was the case the engine wouldnt be running as well as it is I would assume. the early 1UZ 1ste gen is a non interference motor albeit this one is using higher compression pistons.
I kinda miss the shaking cam, it complimented the roar of that V8

uh, is that a screwdriver handle on the E-brake? & if you look closely at the intake filters, you can see them vibrate to the firing cycle. prdy sweet
Did someone ask if the 1UZ-FE is reliable? Well, Toyota put 1,000,000 miles on some of their test engines while they were designing the first generation V8 Lexus. You tell me, is that reliable enough for ya?
