When I was in high school in the late 80s, we would sometimes drive past a gorgeous home owned by Stevie Nicks. It sat at the base of Camelback Mountain, just off of Invergordon Street in Scottsdale, AZ. On weekend nights, we would often sit in the car at the top of the mountain, listening to Fleetwood Mac, looking out at the see of lights below coming in from Phoenix. Such a magical time. We used to dream about what life would be like when we got older. Now I just wish we could go back to that time in life.
Yeah, funny how it, turns out that way, alas such is life but its a lovely memory and must have been a nice house too, wonder if she wrote anything there?
This is my song for my long dead husband. He always lit up a room and everyone was always happy to dee him. He was such a loving and special man, after 10 years I still cry for him every day. My soul for one more kiss with him!!

Yo desde Uruguay hoy 23 de agosto de 2022, a 1 día para la noche de la nostalgia. Saludo enorme a la distancia y una voz que no puede faltar este 24 de agosto.
2022. I am sitting in the grocery store parking lot, playing this a little too loud to see what lady hears it and sings along with a little too much abandon so we can share a glance acknowledging that neither of us is the last undercover wild child. Rock on Gold Dust Woman!
I met her once. She omits this light, I can’t even really describe it. It’s like being in the presence of an angel. I got very emotional. She is very kind, down to earth and LOVES her fans. This is one of my favorite and most underrated songs of hers. I used to play it on repeat in my car. I’ve been blessed to see her many times, with FM and solo. I’ve always been obsessed with her fashion sense. She’s more beautiful today than she was in the 70’s - and she has ALWAYS been stunning. Beautiful inside and out 💜
Hard to imagine a shaman getting hooked on blow, but I never heard anything about her rehabbing. Having detoxed myself, my ears tend to perk up at hearing celebs joining the club, but it seems Ms. Nicks did it the same way I did booze, do it ALL until you don't want anymore, then kick. I don't know how many women Stevie helped me seduce, but it was definitely a non-single-digit number, bless her.
The 80s was the best decade ever in my book. Just the right balance of family, fun, opportunity, and hope without all the drama. We had a taste of technology but we didn't choke on it like we do today.
My favorite solo tune of Stevie's. I wish it was played on the radio as much as her other stuff. Between the bass and the drums and the dreamy vocals and that gorgeous acoustic guitar, this song is a trip to wonderland each and every time i hear it.
Yeah it seems like the radio only knows Edge of 17, Stand Back and Leather & Lace and just ignores everything past 1983. This song is deep and beautiful
18 yrs old, young , beautiful ( if I do say so myself) and deliriously happy, this is what this song takes me back to. It was on repeat for months, now 50 still on repeat ❤️ x
I too was 18 when this song was released. I still remember working as a painter's aide for my brother in law one summer and scraping off old paint from the walls of a public restroom in a park in Chicago on a blistering hot summer day while this song blared through my radio.
This song is about Twin Flames. So many Steevie songs sing words of spiritual enlightenment, I loved the melodies as a child but as an adult I understand the deeper meanings. Thank you Steevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac for your incredible music!
I can see how that would be as well as your mention of spiritual enlightenment being a key element of Stevie's songs. I know this is a particularly haunting song. The song according to Stevie is about herself in the sense that it's about a girl who goes through life like she did and accepts that she will never get married or have children and that the rest of her life will play out without those in it. But I believe it is also more deeply about her brief and surreal relationship with her producer Rupert Hines and how he had a charisma unlike anyone else that affected Stevie so much.
@@vinaymulukutla358 Wow nice! Your description fits that of the surrender phase of the Twin Flame Journey. Anyone who has experienced it and the subsequent awakening will resonate with the lyrics because they are so on point! "if I do say so myself" refers to the fact that your twin flame *IS* you "I've known this much longer that I've known you" you know about your twin flame from your dreams before you encounter them in the 3d "long nets of white cloud my memory" we are all asleep until we spiritually awaken, and meeting the twin flame can be a catalyst for lifting the shroud of amnesia we incarnate with.

She is gorgeous in all her videos. What a powerful voice . She is the best there is was and ever will be. Her beauty continues to this day. Been a fan since the early 70s
"She had trusted many. And then there would be someone that entered into her presence that she could sense for miles" So true to life, Ms. Nicks. There is always magic all around you!!! Love you Stevie.
Someone needs to remind Stevie how essential this song is in her repertoire, so that she puts it back into her concert setlist. That, and "Talk To Me". Both have been overlooked for way too long by now.
I know!!! I couldn’t agree more and I really don’t understand why Rooms on Fire has never been in her set list since 1994. Whole Lotta Trouble would be another one I’d like her to include.

Once upon a time not so long ago when my ex-boyfriend rammed into my car on the top end of the highway of tears and I still had to drive all the way back down to Vancouver Island I did so 25 hours with the song playing over and over and over and over and I didn't sleep because of the PTSD from that and the other things we had been through and somehow I'm not scared by the song every time I hear it it brings me power
I recall hearing this song all the time back in late summer and fall of 1989. Brings back awesome memories of back then! Also, I love the combination of synthesizers, other instruments, and Stevies voice all rolled up in one packet. Sounds AWESOME!!
I remember it well too from the summer of 1989. It is one of those songs that seems to take on a life of its own when played on the radio so much- it was played a lot in the UK. Great track.
*There Is Magic All Around Stevie...* I just love the words _"long nets of white cloud my memory."_ Stevie's magic & mystery is timeless! Breathtaking beauty! 🔮
I love listening to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac! They have a timeless sound to their music! It never gets old to me! All ways full of found memories of the Eighties!!
Post rehab Stevie was radiant! She glowed. From her more perfectly styled hairdo to her vocals, she was polished to perfection. I really love this album, too. A lot of gems on it. ❤️
She was so absolutely gorgeous during this time... I love this song and the mystical aura it has as well as the video. Her music and videos are unmatched..
Stevie Nicks sings in the drama of her life . That's why those songs are so good . Some of her other songs on her solo are not as good . She said in an interview that she takes voice lessons so she doesn't lose the touch . However, she has aged like everyone else and had procedures performed, so she always looks refreshed . Many people it . 75 years old and still going 🎉🎉🎉
So many Great comments here, I feel like many of her songs if they were released today as new songs they would be just as big if not bigger than they were originally, so timeless. Such a beautiful soul and even more beautiful voice. We need more women like Stevie to make music like this ... Just Amazing
Doubt it! What people like today for “radio friendly pop music” is talentless and not even worth listening to, not that it ever was anyway. Luckily for us some of them were, especially when music actually had some talent.
@@laurielewis2745 I respect your opinion Laurie, and yet no one is perfect and this is not the place to argue or discuss such things. We all know a lot about Stevie, the drugs, the affairs, etc ... So this comment is only about her music, not how she lived her life or the choices she has made. To me her music and that of Fleetwood Mac comes from a very organic and authentic place, so I choose to enjoy it for what it is... Which to me is very amazing, well written, well produced and even sounds like something that took a lot of effort to make, and to hear it performed anywhere even on you tube can and should be enjoyed and appreciated. I choose not to stand and judge every action by every person, there is already enough of that in the world, so let's just enjoy the music...whatdoyousay?

2021 now still rockin
Probably the best female solo singers of all time, in my humble opinion
💯
@@WendySharp-vz7hb nope
Not probably.. Definitely.
@@JOEGAMESLAB nope.
Beautiful song from the great voice of Stevie Nicks!
2025…Rooms still on fire baby! ❤
2023 anyone!! Nothing beats 80s music ❤❤
yes, 60's and 70's music does.
Yes, I was in my mid 20's and blown away (again!) by her voice and lyrics.
*There Is Magic All Around Stevie...*
I just love the words _"long nets of white cloud my memory."_
Stevie's magic & mystery is timeless! Breathtaking beauty!
🔮
As I was reading it she was singing it #freaky
This is Stevie at her beautiful best🏴🏴🏴👍🎸🇺🇲🇺🇲☮️😁❤️
I love listening to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac! They have a timeless sound to their music! It never gets old to me! All ways full of found memories of the Eighties!!
Stevie and Ann Wilson are the best female voices ever
I'm positive they would both say that they weren't in the same league as Linda Ronstadt.
In rock
Right on
Jennifer rush is a far better voice than both of them
Love Stevie and Ann I also really like Grace slick as well.
80s decade...we had it ALL and it was the most beautifull decade....NEVER forget
Number one chick
stop living in the past mate. SAD!
@@Charles_Kos Are you Still here? Take a good Look at the World Today..
absolutely, couldn't agree more...
I wish either the 50's 60's or the 80's. So bad man, those were all great.
Without making any effort, her voice just flows...she is wonderful! A great woman with an angel voice...
Hi Laura
@@Bandyz5226 HI!
@@lauravera1730 I’ve been losing to this song for years now and it still sounds same in 2022.
@@Bandyz5226 you mean listening?
A lot f people try and sound like you but no one does. I love it🎧🥰🎄💐💕💕💕
Jan 2025 love her music ❤

Post rehab Stevie was radiant! She glowed. From her more perfectly styled hairdo to her vocals, she was polished to perfection. I really love this album, too. A lot of gems on it. ❤️
Angels 😇 bless us Stevie Nick's ❤❤❤😢🎉😊😊😊
Stevie boy is here October 2024.XX I love this beautiful voice, touches my heart and soul ❤❤😊
Me too! My favorite song of hers also Silver Springs!❤

AWESOME,AWESOME Sony❤️❤️❤️
She was so absolutely gorgeous during this time... I love this song and the mystical aura it has as well as the video. Her music and videos are unmatched..
Brilliant tune I lost my daughter
Incomparable🎼 is this your favorite song?
She's 🌹 just devine
Stevie has the most powerful voice of any female I have ever heard
Can I get an Amen?
Beautiful soul my foot. She killed her baby.
@@MaineConservative76 Hi Mike, and I hear your point, I am just an old Album Rocker and I know those days are long gone, but I want to keep my generations music around forever just like our parents did, lol... and hopefully you will as well!! Fleetwood and Stevie made some great music, I just wish there was more of an audience for it today... that's all
This woman was underated ❤ powerful vocal she was having ❤❤❤
Underated?? No way she got all the recognition she deserved!! Absolutely amazing singer…
She is simply the greatest of all time. ❤❤❤❤
Her music is like magic it lights my soul up !
Her music. Her voice. Her beauty. Her grace. Her talent. Absolutely love Stevie Nicks.
Here i am, one of the most fascinating ladies ever.
Have followed her for years and years❤🎉🎉
Sitting naked in a jacuzzi at a gay bar in Key West was the first time I heard this gem. Sunset with a perfect breeze and the perfect song to make it a magical moment. My favorite of her solo work.

I love that you have this. It’s almost as if the image of this should be background in the video.
@@danleeworth You had me at "sitting naked in a jacuzzi at a gay bar in Key West." I can't get the grin off my face. Thanks for making my day.

Lol ,did the breeze whistle through ur arse crack or was it one of the other dudes in the jacuzzi...??
I'm not living in the past but only making it clear how awesome the music was back then. It just brings back some beautiful memories.

My favorite Stevie Nicks song... timeless, like it was just released.... "Well baby I'm just thinking that the rooms are all on fire..."
