Ihave to agree with you Matt, Definitely the best release of 2019. Vanquish definitely does their homework and are spot on with everything they release. Love the paint job! Awesome video and very in depth review👌
I finally got one. The Element builders kit was my first truck. Then a TRX4 sport kit and then an SCX10ii Cherokee kit. Now I have a VS410 pro. My garage is now complete. I may do a custom flat rail build next, but I’m happy for now.
As soon as I saw the paint I had flashbacks to 1989 picking up my freshly painted Tamiya King Cab from the local hobby shop. It's still mostly stock with a custom machined diff housing and it's hanging on my wall. It cost about $700 CAD back then and I just spent the same on a new SCX10-2 thirty years later so I guess we can't really complain about prices these days.
Oh, great paint job and truck name, btw..no pressure, just a short vid per day will suffice. Perhaps more teasing of our favorite Dancing Rider fan..that really was therapeutic.
One of your best vids, Matt...your expanding experience continues to show, and I don't even have to translate the Canadian anymore :-) Couldn't agree more on body posts, kinda disappointed this body comes with pre-existing post holes. Won't stop me from buying one tho!
Fantastic video, great build, excellent information! Thanks for sharing. I have to agree - I've been wondering for years now when will the clips and posts go away on the scale trucks...seems like never haha, but I still have my fingers crossed and hope someone innovates in that area.
NICE! I haven't looked too close at the UMG and have yet to see one in the wild, so that's good to hear. Manufacturers just need to take the time to be creative with that part of their designs.
I can't wait to get mine soon! Great work on getting the sweet little SBG stickers into so many kits nowadays. OD will also help with turning radius, but not a ton since it's only 6.5%; I usually don't notice a huge difference in turning radius until probably about 15 - 20% OD, but regardless, OD is the way to go and I'm glad they added it. That tire and wheel combo is almost identical to what I have on No Vaseline, and they work awesome on those trucks! Great choice on the Reef's, I love all of mine. The body clips and the fact the holes are precut definitely always bums me out, I HATE BODY CLIPS. lol
Great Review. I was going to swap the F-Bomb! body on to this chassis, but you made some great points about the body that comes with it. And, you make it look damned good.
I said it on the what's on the bench vid but I'll say it again I trucking love that trucking truck body what an amazing job. Are you going to Axial fest this year? If so too bad you couldn't bring this cause it deserves an award.
