Start a business doing crawler maintenance. I started my Rc Crawler maintenance business 10 years ago. Today we employ 5 fulltime staff. 3 are qualified mechanics by trade and two are engineers by trade. We have lathes and machine shop tooling within our workshop, we do everything from pre sale inspections of rc crawlers, to full strip down and rebuilds of diffs and transmissions. We also have branched out into modification work making one off bumpers, guards and all technical parts that take our customers crawlers to the next level. All our rebuild work comes with 2 year warranty of which we have had no returns. Our mechanics do all of the tear downs and rebuilds whilst our engineers fabricate specialist parts. We have just acquired an auto electrician to rewire the crawlers to competition specs. We cover all brands from traxxas thru to the not so popular brands also.
Hmm. I really appreciate what they've done with this truck but I guess I'm a little too cheap. I've been driving a 900$ Cherokee for a year now so it's tough to justify lol
I know, right! But the truck contains so many premium items, like the portal axles that retail for $500 by themselves, that the wheels help keep the overall price down. The aluminum wheels would have been nice, but you have to imagine that the guys who buy this truck probably already own their favorite aluminum wheels, which they could fit on the Ultra. -Brett
mike grant i know right, just buy the axles and put them in a SCX, crossRC, RC4WD and so on chassis, they even went cheap on the transmission. Unfortunately, not a whole lot other than to dispose of it safely. If you can't bring it back, I would follow this disposal method (from the ProTek LiPo Manual): "Submerge the battery into a bucket or tub of salt water. This container should have a lid, but it does not need to be air-tight. Prepare a plastic container (do not use metal) of cold water, and mix in ½ cup of salt per gallon of water. Drop the battery into the salt water. Allow the battery to remain in the tub of salt water for at least 2 weeks. This salt bath will neutralize any remaining power in the battery. Once complete, remove the LiPo and wrap it in newspaper or paper towels, and recycle it at your newest electronics recycle point." Sorry to hear this happened man, but I hope this helps you. -Brett
@@trystanmarshall1867 Your original question stated your battery "does not balance properly." This means something very different than a battery that is "slightly out of balance." A battery that is slightly out of balance, can be balanced, and thusly saved. A battery that "does not balance properly," cannot be balanced, and thusly, cannot not saved. Do you understand the difference? AMain Hobbies does not recommend using any LiPo battery if the cells are not balanced - period. -Brett
