Mine will be the Beretta setup in 40 cal. I like yours. Keeping it simple is what this weapon is all about, I think.. but then again.. I have seen a build where a guy was getting a grouping inside 2 inches at 200 yards.. That's amazing too.. Entirely different applications with the same base weapon.
Excellent video and upgrade! This is exactly what I want to do - no rail, and add the RL front sight so that it still locks in the folded position. I have an octane so the piston fitting would be identical. Couple of questions if I may - What is the fitting/piece between the RL front sight and the barrel? What did you use to ream out the front sight so that the piston would fit correctly? Dremmel?
It's the collar that comes with the sight. I had to cut is so it wouldn't cover the threads. If I remember right, I used a Dremel tool to do the reaming.
Disassemble mag and mill out the spiral groove to fit .40 cal bullets. That was the easy part. Shaping the feed lips was tricky- very delicate to open it up enough to load and feed .40 cartridges while letting the rounds clear the front of the mag and also not nosediving into the magazine or the feed ramps in the gun.
Can you give more details of the threading? Are tghe threads on the original barrel or is there a collar/extension added?. Did you use a some web based threading service or a local gunsmith or did you do yourself some how? How about a video about that bumpstick?
I sent it off for threading. Anyone with a lathe and good machining skills would be able to do it as long as the barrel fit in. I don't know what it's called, but the block that's permanently attached to the barrel where it pivots to fold is the limiting factor. Just make sure you don't thread it too far, only about 0.3". Check out my other videos, I have a couple on the bumpstick, I sell them and have a few left of each version. Or search RUclips for "Bump Stick Drum Stick" $30 for a bump stick and $40 for a drum stick.
Like that bump stick and of course your S2K/silencer,very very sharp. Since bumpfire stocks are illegal up here...can I talk with you about a copy of the design to use on my S2Ks? Thanks
It's because there won't be any "mods" made to the firearm causing it to shoot like a full auto. I realize that it will still be frowned upon but again the description of a "device" or "to asist"to modify will no doubt come into play. But i'm also going to be able to shoot far away from prying eyes.
+ericlefthand1980 I don't have plans to. I don't need to convert any more drums unless people want to buy them. If I get more interest, it would be a possibility.
@@trapboiii843 I don't have any right now. You can use a hand drill or drill press to basically route out the channel the rounds sit in in the magazine and carefully shave the feed lips to allow a .40 round to pass through it. Just do everything very slow and check function very often until everything works.
very interested in a sub 2000 .40 to run my Octane 45 on. Do you get any blow back in your face? Did you have barrel threaded? if so how much was that? thanks, cool vid.
+Hammerdown No blowback. I have local smith do all my threading. I believe he charged $60. I do quite a bit of business with him, so others are probably more.
Skidmore Creek hey man I have a question I want to get a pistol and kel tech sub 2000 since the sub tech is legal in NYC thank the Lord, what pistol should I get that will able to take its mags and put into the kel tech? Btw with the shitty laws I can only hold up to 10 rounds on a pistol in NYC.
chris thomas Luckily I live in a state that doesn't have magazine restrictions, so I haven't had to research too much on pistols with 10 round capacity. My suggestion would be to look into if you can own a pistol that takes high capacity mags but can only own/use 10 rounders. For example, would it be possible to own a Glock 17 that accepts all standard Glock mags, but you can only legally own the 10 rounders? If so, you can look at 9mm or .40 Glocks and 9mm or .40 Beretta. Those are the most popular. I have heard there is a S&W version also but never seen one. The Gen 2 Sub 2000 is another consideration. I like mine especially after the work I have into it and have no complaints.
You're a lucky man unfortunately there are so many restrictions in NYC that it's impossible to get anything done. And what's worse is how different parts of the state have different permit laws.it's $340 for a carry pistol permit for every 3 years in the city but $10 for every 5 in a different county.I'm still doing research before I go out and buy anything and I would want to move to a different state that has better restrictions but nyc is my home. Skidmore Creek thanks for the tip I'm going to take it into consideration.
I feel for you brother. Here in Canada it's been 10 rounds all along and I did the same as he suggests I got the G17 to pair up with my S2K. Too bad they impose that on you living in the states I saw a guy from NY says buying pistol and rifle ammo was immpossible and he had to go out of state to buy some...WOW
Love it got same basic gun and have been interested in doing what you did and glad to know its possible! Interested in the bump stick for sure please contact me
Impressive young man....with a bad-ass keltec!

Great video and yeah thats a nice setup. I was thinking about these kel tec carbines and now I feel its worth the money.
So it can shoot both 9mm and 40 cal? Is this on the gen 1 or 2??
Gen 1. Only shoots the caliber chamber/barrel you have
Was wondering what steps you had to take to modify the drum for 40 cal? Did you put in .40 followers, and bending/adjusting the feed lips accordingly?

Would it be possible for you to do a video on converting 9mm drum to shoot 40 ammo
I don’t plan to but I will if I ever do one again
How did you mod the drum to accept n where did you get it from?
Milled out the groove inside the mag and shaved the feed lips.
How do You shoot so fast ?????

I don't know anything about Canadian gun laws, but if bump-fire stocks are illegal, what's stopping a bump-fire device from being illegal?

I realize that it will still be frowned upon but again the description of a "device" or "to asist"to modify will no doubt come into play. Thanks again man
How did you bumpfire at the end of video
well done, I had to lose the sight and get an optic to compensate
Would it be possible to do a videos of you converting drum to 40

@@skidmorecreek6267 I'd love yo purchase one that's converted if that's possible.. And how much would you charge?
