Thanks for updating!

@@grimreapers I was like "OK BUT HOOOOW DO I PUT THESE BLOODY SENSORS ON THE MIRAGE" And no one had an answer to that
If they cover 135 degrees on each rear quarter, then the top-down diagram at 0:27 has the "blind spot" label wrong.
The colored arcs would be the coverage zone in that case. The blind spots would be the non-colored areas.
I tend I agree. I was thinking the blind spots depicted would be the most useful areas to know if a missile had been fired. Also being based on IR it's subject to numerous false alarms and prolly won't be used much. Effective MWS are UV based.
@@terryboyer1342 And the text in the aforementioned graphic contradicts itself. So which is it, I wonder?
@@NefariousKoel Waagner!
Well it certainly works if the missiles is coming from the front, so that agrees with the table?
Grim Reapers so then it would be 135 degrees of blindspot instead of coverage
Awsome thx for all this videos about Mirage, nice that you are here with these tutorials, cos DCS isnt cappable to put some coherent tutorials on their own models
According to Chucks Guide Page 205, the Coverage of the Sensor is about 360° horizontally, and it is able to see everything below you. The only real blindspot is above the Aircraft.
Thanks
You forgot one major step!!!! There is a checkbox in the Mission Editor, under the Mirage's Properties that says "Mount the DDM Sensors". Without that you won't have the sensors! Many people got confused by this as this is mentioned NOWHERE in the manuals or tutorials
I was looking and searching this for hours until I found it by just thinking "what if there is a checkbox" and there is
Thanks for this!
What configurations do I need to do on my plane to make it work? I have the Magic missiles on, and turn on the switches in the MWS panel, but the light keeps flashing and it doesn't seem to detect any IR missiles coming from the ground or anywhere else.
Found it out, it's a checkbox on the mission editor's properties for the Mirage "Mount the DDM Sensors"
Nowhere this is mentioned
To be able to detect missiles with no radiation emission, is like voodo be magic.
Technically, the UV/IR spike from the launch is a radiation
it's not working for me, the mws is still flashing even with having 2 magics on, what's the problemo?
Same happens to me. No Idea how it works
Found it out, it's a checkbox on the mission editor's properties for the Mirage "Mount the DDM Sensors"
@@DemonLordGamingAC0 THX BRO!
nice vid
Just open up the page 198 of the manual...
Where can I find that livery...
The MWS sensors are located on rear of Magic pylons... How are they going to detect anything front of them? That should have already put alarms on! And interceptor doesn't need to see forward but silent rear shots at that era!
The software coding is simply wrong way for detection, so it detects where shouldn't and not where should.
Why would you allow MWS blind spots in the rear hemisphere in a fighter with poor rear visibility? That sounds completely self-defeating.
Completely agree! Error in flight manual??
Amy should do a tutorial :)
Good Lord...
Yeah buy She will probably get everything right :)
mind doing some more research on the JF 17 its coming out in less than 2 weeks
