According to the campaign, the INS alignment is done before startup because it's believed that engine vibrations fiddle with the result.
This is the best tutorial you've ever made if not the best I have ever seen. And I'm not jerking you off here. Quick, concise, clear, no mistakes, no bullshit. This tutorial should be put into a tutorial to teach people that make tutorials how to make tutorials. Know what I'm saying.

Thanks cap! Just got this beast! Lovely plane, only really lacking in the missile department. The INS thing is kind of annoying as well, I could be wrong but I would imagine ground crew would align it before hand or the pilots would just keep the same alignment from the previous flight(which is possible in the manual). Other wise this planes abilities as an interceptor would be hampered.

For some reason when I try closing the canopy it wont work and I have to manually close it
AFTER UNCAGING THE ADI I USED RIGHT CLICK + UP\DOWN MOVEMENT WITH THE MOUSE TO SET IT

I'm guessing you figured this out by now, but there's a switch on the right hand panel near where your hand would be if your arm was resting on the panel. It says backup heading or something like that, you have to switch it on and have the plane started up before it will let you uncage the backup indicator :)
heya dude, mine is still not uncaging ? I have that switch, switched to the middle and yet it will not uncage, would you happen to know why ? cheers

@@LeSoleilRoyalXIV I played one year with keyboard and mouse only and it works, of course a full hotas is better but you can still enjoy it and even compete in multiplayer.

Is the purpose of ILS just for navigation and is it required to take off? For example if you just wanted to take off, fox1 a bad guy then land all without using a navigation system like waypoints would you be able to do that without first aligning ILS?
Don't confuse ILS with INS.
I can't close my canopy. When I right click the lever it goes back but when i let go of the right mouse button, the lever goes back to the center position. What am I doing wrong? Surely it's not this difficult to close a damn cockpit...

WTF?? I just learned you can make the cockpit in English? LMAO....All this time I would only fly american jets because I could not understand the damned cockpit labels and it's as simple as a freaking tick mark in a box?? Feeling pretty cheesy right now
