    To be honest, I'm a pretty underrated channel. I created this aspect of my channel to really help redfor pilots and fly planes that are seen as disadvantageous. I love researching tactics and learning more about these planes and weapon employment.
    Will I ever get the shine that larger channels get? Heh, probably not, but what I can say is I have a passion for aviation and I love helping others. Yes, you virtual pilots!
    With all that being said, I hope that my channel has had a great impact on all of you and that I have taught you all something, no matter how minor.
    Thanks everyone 🤙🏾

      Man just keep making content and do your videos keep them coming. To be honest the last few I have watched IMHO have been the best I have seen from you. The explanations and tactics your deploying are top notch and are alot better then I have seen on other channels, really head and shoulders above them. My understanding you need to keep the content coming regularly to get your channel exposure ie suggestions in the searches. As I stated above your doing extremely well if you wish to grow the channel and be that guy it's just going to be alot of work. I know other gaming channels that I have followed when they weren't well know and now are took time.

    Funny how often the typical DCS player is so obsessive over full-fidelity planes and the details of every switch and procedure. Yet they are unwilling to put in the effort to researching the real world tactics required to employ them effectively. Let alone the actual history and context behind the airplane and its weapons.
    So many misconceptions and falsehoods on Hoggit and the Forums. It's what makes your channel such a breath of fresh air, you know what you are doing and have good knowledge of the basics in a way most don't.

      Great synopsis cannon! There's so much, honestly.. "garbage" on the forums thats spewed by people who are just figuring it out themselves or quite honestly just don't know what they're talking about. So much in fact that you'd believe fox 1s are trash and the teen series are superior to everything.

      They arent really. Most people just figure out how to take off and shoot missiles and re slot. I bet 95% of players can't even use tacan, ils, ins and navigate without the f10 map. And 70% don't even have the basics of bfm down as well as bvr fighting. A lot of people don't even understand their aircraft loads and fuel consumption. Thats why a lot of people can't fly there plane and get frustrated. Even GS has g effects off and pulls 9g for 10 + seconds in his dog fight videos.

    Something I've heard in the Fighter Training Sessions was maintain the option to attack or leave, don't pursue an attack going bad - break and re-attack. I'm working on the Mirage 2000C, always dug the F-106 and ran intercepts with them a lot, Fighter Intercept Exercises. A handful to contend with if working with an experienced pilot... The M 2000C and Kifir are what could have been if the U.S. had decided to arm it with something other than the AIM-4 and do some re-working. The M 2000C is still out there working.

      @@SukhoiGC: I was a Gunner on B-52D/G/H Models, most of my time on the D and H. Some others and I, in that field, always felt the "6" was under appreciated by the AF though waiting for the F-15 platform definitely had its wisdom. Unfortunately, the design around the AIM-4 made changing things an expensive undertaking with the production line being shut down. The Israelis with the Mirage III proved the design, and that's with both sides having problems with their heat-seeking missiles. The "6" Pilots were also good at working with GCI as a matter of proficiency, it seemed the F-4 and F-16's not so much.
      In the fighter doctrine department, we worked on evade first, negate if detected, then kill... We didn't have the option of lighting the burners and running away. In negating the attack, you are also trying to keep him out of launch envelope, quater top view of him if possible and keep him in G maneuvers and many would come into the "gun box" at a disadvantage: The guy who realized that was happening and bailed on the attack and re-attacked was probably the guy that was going to get you. We did a lot of Red Flags, and that was time to "get down, get funky" doing everything but firing live ammo, and a lot of stuff that was in the books was proven to be a great way to get killed. Red Flag caused a lot of re-thinking and was worth its weight in gold in that regard, the biggie is we were expected to stay in confines of routing for the strike package, but were free to plan tactics of how we were going to go about it. Fighters calling Fox and claiming success then turning off to go play with other fighters turned out to be not quite was people thought it was, our ECM worked quite well.
      I don't know who to ask the question of, when it comes to DCS, to find out if or how a missile G rating is figured into a weapons model, and of course that is a closely guarded secret by countries. Back in the 80's, according to the book by Rober Shaw, the ball park used was 17 to 20Gs for a long range missile and 32Gs for short range heat seekers. This isn't how many Gs the missile can perform in a turn, but cumulative value the Guidance Unit can handle. A 17G missile that makes a 3G turn is now a 14G missile, is how it works. While DCS models performance degradation due to affect of air density and turns, I've no idea if the G rating is figured in... Which may look illogical on long range missiles - why so low - the considerations of how much fluid or battery power to move the control surfaces has to balanced in (they aren't closed fluid systems otherwise it would be a very big missile) before the missile goes stupid, and long range missiles are expected to make a turn at distance to prediction, therefore not resulting in a large G load in correcting like a Sidewinder or Apex.
      Just a question I've had, and maybe you are in a better position to find out how or if that is modeled in.
      Something else from the day that figured in, is that all countries when touting the range of their missiles are using data from a target coming in off the nose, doing mach, non-maneuvering, and no ECM. The truth is that a target going subsonic, high maneuvering with ECM could cut some systems numbers by 3/4 or more. If it is an attacker that has to be doing high speed to stay effective, he has some work on his hands especially in the days before pulse doppler when the defender could go to the ground.
      You did a technique that was worrisome, and vey effective, of dropping low with radar in standby especially with GCI data link, to get him into the ballpark with you. Your object of interest running around relying too much on RWR gear could very well find himself walking home. Knowing when it's ok to not be blasting electrons is the way to go, nice to see it being used. The prospect of an F-5 Aggressor running around low with the radar in standby looking to set someone up for a visual shot always was a worry in the Red Flag days, I'm convinced it worked more than people wanted to admit.

      The 530S are never likely to get the kill unless you are fighting a lesser opponent. The 530S are used to get close, not to kill.
      What this does mean, is that you are often limited to 1 kill per flight unless you can really catch someone by surprise. You usually need both 530s to get close and then use 1-2 magics to kill. Which leaves you with 0-1 magic, so you'll need to RTB

    I like the tactics but you are already REALLY low.. 1900ft or less according to your HUD. I am rarely down that low in anything, unless its a Su-25 or A-10. Even then I am usually up at 18kft to avoid MANPADs. At 2kft ASL your range on the 530 is pretty short and so is the AIM-120. There is much more you can do to drag it lower.. its already in the weeds.

    • @SukhoiGC
      @SukhoiGC  2 года назад +1

      You won't always have a perfect scenario where you can fly at 18k ft. You have to work with what you have, also flying at 18k feet in a D/L environment over hills is not always a good idea. You have no room to maneuver if you're slow or cruising, it all depends.

      Issue is you can't BVR fight a fox 3 fighter on even grounds. You have less SA, worse radar, and fox 1s. All you need is 10k to avoid manpads but staying fast on the deck in mountains will lessen the time they have to fire on you as well. Amraams will reach you faster than you can even get into launch range at alt anyways. His tactics are sound for what he has.

    • @Kingonads
      @Kingonads 2 года назад

      @@dovaiS Your radar is not worse. LOL if you think that you haven't used the Mirage 2000C in a LONG LONG time. You can detect a MiG-29 or F-16 out to about 55-65nm on your radar, and if you use the TIF datalink you can get GCI updates out to as far as the AWACS or Ground station can detect it with intercept headings.
      As for the 10kft to avoid MANPADs. Not in my experience, in both DCS and FalconBMS MANPADs can swat you at 15kft AGL with alarming regularity, then you have the IR passive SAMs like the Gaskin and Gopher launchers. Granted the SA-10/13 use a ranging radar but can be fired in IR only (not sure if modeled in DCS).
