Honestly every video and review you upload is such a welcoming feeling. You take everything at such an relaxed pace and your energy is immaculate. Love it man
This was the chorus sound many of us dreamed of! It was either the Boss Chorus, ADA Flanger, or the TC Chorus back then. I'm just glad they reissued it and made it more pedal board friendly, then the attached power chord they had originally. Loving the tones you're getting here, and hope to hear you using it on more tracks in the future!
I don’t care for any of those effects very much on their own, but pair them with an ambient delay or two and/or big verb and it’s a wildly different story! Love these sounds, man. Most musical demo of this pedal I’ve seen.
The way your hammer-ons and pull-offs sound makes me think you own at least a couple Bert Jansch records. Great stuff man! I've never owned a standalone chorus pedal but I recently got a Fairfield Shallow water which is like lo-fi tape wobble type effect that can get into chorus territory with the mix dialed back. You should try one out on the channel! I think you would really dig it.
This was great! I got this pedal a while back on preorder and was a little underwhelmed, but this demo showed me I wasn’t making the most of it. Hooking the SCF gold back up this weekend! It’s like i got a new pedal again! Thanks Bill!
If you guys watch this and have on AirPods, make sure to have both in when listening because I started this video with one airpod in and I was like “where’s the effect?” 😂 great video!
Sounds lovely. I have prolly the 2nd or 3rd generation of the SCF with the purple square on it, of the original TC Electronics and loved it to pieces. Had to have one due to my love for Eric Johnson. Bought mine in 2005. Now it doesn’t sound as good and I am unsure why. The new unit, I can’t tell if it sounds like mine but none the less, an excellent chorus. Didn’t know they were available yet. Thanks for the demo.
Some will swear by this TC Chorus. I still have my 120V version. I have sold and traded a lot of guitars but have all the pedals I bought from my first Boss.
Wow - that sounds great and it looks so easy to use. Looks like I'll be buying another TC pedal .. Bill, you're bad for my wallet but my pedalboard will give thanks ... :-)
I had the original in the 90s. Great pedal, but the AC only power cable was a draw back. I ordered the new version as soon as it was announced. Sounds the same. Excellent pedal. The only think that is disappointing is that it in no longer made in Denmark. The build quality is also good. Great feed back feel on the knobs. Takes my Ciocks power supply Aok. Nice demo, but it sounds better in person and I am only running it in mono.
Great review as always! I also watched your review about BOSS DC-2w Dimension C from few years ago. If you had to choose one of these, which one would you pick? And why?
It all depends on your requirements. If you want a combination Chorus/Flanger/Pitch modulator with classic 80s tones, then the TC. If you want a small form factor pedal that recreates the classic Dimension-C tones and nothing else, then the BOSS.
This sounds really nice even at "extreme" settings! Would you be interested in making a comparison between this one and their digital pedals? I have the Dreamscape and like it a lot (it's my "all in one" mod pedal as I like chorus/flanger in modest amounts, besides being a shameless John Petrucci fanboy), but curious how they sound next to each other.
I notice that there are two outputs for stereo. Are you using two different guitar amps to achieve the stereo effect? Can you run the two outputs to two different guitar amps?
It sounds great. It's beautiful to see how you love your music
I lusted after the original models for a few decades after seeing Fripp using one.
Frippertronics ,I’m frippin just watching this✌🏻🎸🎶🍄
Wow. Just gorgeous lush sounds.

Most people rush through life and miss the details, and the moment. Better to be glacial.
Agreed. Such a comfortable, friendly vibe here. Welcoming.
Dieser Chorus und ein Fender Rhodes und die Sonne ☀️ geht auf.

I ordered one before the video even ended. 🤣 Great demo as always. Kind regards. 👍
Gorgeous! Desired one since the mid eighties. Wonderful reissue. 🤙🏼
This has got to be my favorite Chorus sound. Not sure if it’s a CE1/2 topology, but sounds better to me. Really captures the spirit of the 80’s.

Yes really amazing sounds.
Excellent video thank you so much, really love the audio quality, awesome!
Audio is not just a word…
Der beste Chorus der Welt
beautiful stuff my friend, great demo

Nice demo, Bill! A really nice sounding pedal, and not terribly expensive.

Good point!

This sounds beautiful and I'm very tempted to buy this for my ambient guitar setup! :D
Fantastic.

Sounds beautiful, definitely want one now! Even though i have a number of chorus pedals, they are my favorites!
Hi, I just bought that one but the special edition, it is amazing.
Nice!!!!
Beautiful tones. Nu-X just dropped a mini SCF pedal that nails this sound for pennies on the $ BTW!
✌🤟🖖
I have an older dual chorus they made and it's a solid box, also love pairing it with the newer delay pedal Echobrain.
David Torn’s chorus of choice..

I am looking forward to being able to get one. No one seems to have them in stock.
Do you think the pedal is a tad harsh/trebly? Listening in stereo through AirPods.
what compressor are you using? phenomenal sound
Thanks! I used a Wampler Ego on this one.

@@chordsoforion thanks. Have you tried the TC dreamscape -John Petrucci signature one?
Cool 👍
amazing as always!! which guitar is that may I ask???
It's an Ibanez QX54QM: ruclips.net/video/8VvSfgdhJT0/видео.html
How is the SLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWW Flange, I'm thinking Monster Magnet, 'enter the orb' type sound?
I am tempted to buy one, but my current band is a ‘50s/‘60s Retro project. Hey it might give me a nice faux 12 string effect that I could use.

I can imagine this guy climbing the north face of Everest.
Hi. Is this pedal similar to the original one ? Thanks
Do you recommend the Ibanez headless?
Yes I like it a lot - however, there are a few caveats. Here is my demo: ruclips.net/video/8VvSfgdhJT0/видео.html
Too trebly, I prefer to mid frequency oompf of the Boss CE-2
Not hearing any effect at all on this demo ? WTF ??
Doesn't touch the the Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress..
The effects seem kinda weak honestly
