Does Bcm make anything?Does Colt make anything anymore.I have a 2013 Colt m4a1socom with usgi 14.5 barrel.I have a EAG complete upper(filthy 14).Both will get the job done but does Bcm make anything.
Just took my BCM SOCOM out to the range and brought an ADM 13.9 Core for comparison. I did four rounds of 5 shot groups per ammo type. It did not like American Eagle or IMI 55gr. 69gr Fiocchi, 75gr PPU and 77gr IMI were all averaging 2ish moa with only a couple groups under 1moa, which isn’t great. Next I’m going to try a few match grade 68’s, 69’s and 77’s, hopefully with better results. So far i’m not impressed. My ADM did way better.
@@TacticalAccountants it came in a month ago. i’ve only made two trips to the range. Took ADM 14 weeks after ordering to deliver. It shoots most ammo between 62-69gr really well but everything outside of that is 1.5-2moa. The barrel is slimmer than I expected. It heats up fast. Still my favorite AR so far.

The accuracy you're getting from the BCM is acceptable. It's a fighting rifle. Now for the money, i understand expecting better. My DDV7 will shoot MOA all day. I get anywhere from .75 to 2MOA from it, depending on ammo. I also have a 2013 colt LE6920 and I just recently purchased a CR6920, with the 13629 cage code. I have to say, the Roscoe barrel is definitely an upgrade over the colt. My CR6920 will shoot 1.25 to 2MOA consistently, depending on ammo. The two BCM rifles I own are a regular M4 profile and a Recce16. Both rifles shoot about 2MOA. not the greatest accuracy, but I will trust them both with my life. I also recently purchased a BCA upper for 224, that came complete. I will admit, it shoots sub MOA consistently. I doubt it will last as long as my high end rifles, but I gotta say I was really surprised to see it shoot that good.
I agree that for what it is, the accuracy is fine. Although I haven’t been too impressed with my DD MK12. It’s an older one, but haven’t had it shoot sub moa really. I’m going to try some other loads soon and see how it is. Specifically some 69g SMKs and maybe see how Bergers do.
@@TacticalAccountants I usually run black hills ammo, when I want to test accuracy. I find it gives the most consistent accuracy. I usually run 77grn rounds through my 1/7 barrels as well. Although 69grn is pretty tight too.. To be honest, after owning two Larue rifles, I'm not impressed with other rifles accuracy. The Larue rifles shoot like bolt guns. They are consistently sub MOA.
I have a bcm enhanced lightweight with a vortex pst2 on it...only like 300 rounds through it maybe but the accuracy at 100 yds isnt the greatest so far...ive hit 1.5 and 2 moa a few times but mostly its around 3-4 moa. is this normal? im honestly ok with it if it is but curious on others experiences with it

@@rickypickles2219 1.5 moa out most duty grade ar15 chrome lined barrels is pretty standard(pretty standard for bcm barrels that is), along with 2-4 moa with surplus ball ammo is pretty standard as well.
