Thank you for showing what it ACTUALLY looks like through the eye piece. I just bought a Holosun DRS-TH and was disappointed to find that it doesn't display grayscale images as shown in every online review. Instead it's just a green laser overlay being projected onto some glass. All the RUclips reviews neglected to mention that. So thx.
You're absolutely right that the first 5 "reviews" and "comparisons" and "overviews" of the RH25 that I clicked on had almost zero footage through it. 5 reviews, coming in at 80 minutes long, had a combined 3 minutes of actual thermal footage.
This is the absolute best review of the RH25 on the Internet, I've scoured the web for every video review made on this device and this is the only video that's got extended footage of it in use that's not hunting. Excellent production and editing, subscribed.
Thank you, for this video, best Straight forward footage video I’ve seen yet and I’ve watched em all, how about some close quarters in town going in and out of stores, Can’t wait to watch through your day optics!!!!
@@TacticalAccountantsI wouldn’t go that far, I know the guy personally and he’s kind of a keyboard warrior more than anything 😂 (Really though, thanks for the kind words, and am flattered by the extra effort of throwing in a scene from The Departed. I about died laughing)
As a recovery tool, animals will put off body heat for many many hours after being shot, so you can take your time looking for the deer with thermals and not worry about losing heat signature. I ended up getting the MH25v2 because I am only helmet mounting mine. My rifle scope is an RH50v2
Glad to see you back making content. I trust you quite a bit as a source of information. It’s a good balance of practical, cost effective, and quality. You sold me on the TLR VIR Eye Safe last year when I found one for $150. Now you’re tempting me with this. Do you still like the Streamlight?
Yes I do. Unfortunately I only get to shoot with NODs a few times a year but it did very well at our last night shoot. Easily illuminates target at 100 yards but definitely has more spill in the foreground than something Gucci like a MAWL. Adjusting laser POI is a pain with the tiny little allen wrench but once it's on it's on.
Likewise, I’m hoping to use mine once a quarter but we will see. I actually put the IR Eye Safe on a Vortex 45 offset and I call it the MAWL at home lol. This thermal vid was great. I am jealous of the all around capability of it
Love it. Definitely want one, but like you said, pretty pricey. Was hoping Iray would drop an updated unit at shot, just so that this unit would drop in price lol.
In stand alone mode ... it offers multiple reticles ... can you zero for diferent rifles and retain that setting so can move back and forth between platforms without having to re-zero?
Iray falcon P640+ and RH-25 are the exact same unit except for the loading icon and exterior color . Same sensor same everything , falcon P640+ doesn't have the tarrif on it like the USA version RH-25 , and RH-25 has a longer warranty via iray-usa . Don't be fooled it's the same unit . Just saying, very nice review by the way 👍
I am very close to buying a MH25 V2, I can get it for around 3,500 at my local dealer but after hearing you got your RH for a thousand less than I am wondering if I should just keep saving for the RH25. 🤔
If you're looking for an adapter for your RH25 that allows you various weapon and helmet mounting solutions, check out the rail I designed (videos on my channel).
What are your current thoughts on getting the RH25 over the PFN640+ now that both are banned from import due to infiray supporting the war in Ukraine? I would be surprised if the 5 year warranty still stands, which could put favor for the pfn for the warranty work (assuming you are willing to risk it getting seized like zenitco).
Great review. One of the best I’ve seen for this unit. You just earned a subscriber. Can you drop a link on which site you could contact and get $1K off?
Nice video, but dude be excited about it! We only live once. Stop justifying your spending so much. If you have the money buy whatever the hell you want and rock on.
You should let go of that "anxiety" of not retrieving a deer you dropped. They all pass away eventually, whether it's your bullet or not. The woods will feast on your loss. lol.. Don't let it eat you up, it's not that serious.
The only problem is with those because I own one, and I'm here in Arizona, the sand and stuff that's blown over from the California border on me. It flares it really bad and it sucks. I love the device because whenever it's clear. It works awesome, but the sand does not help.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Be careful of state laws and idiot game wardens if you're gonna bring a thermal with you hunting. They tend to be petty tyrants and are often ignorant of or indifferent towards the law.
@@TacticalAccountants I agree.. You should start a series of sight seeing with it.. Show some hunting footage and more deer, etc.. Maybe a few jokes.. A guy humping a trashcan, etc.. There are several ways to milk more videos out of this thing
@@TacticalAccountants If you’re getting taxed on any income you receive from this channel, presumably as a business entity, I’d assume you could expense the cost of the RH 25 as a business expense or simply capitalize it through depreciation as a long term asset for the business? +1 for mister french. Great shots and discussion 👏
He's probably sold more RH25s than iRay's entire marketing department

I'd look into a 384 StingIR if you don't particularly care about onboard recording or handling recoil more stout than 5.56
The price has dropped to 3999.00 right now- I emailed one of the top distributors and he gave me 200 off, so 3799
@@DerekCarrillo7541 You can find them much cheaper than that. 3400 is the norm currently.

thanks.. how about the price difference?
Where's the best place to buy one? Can't find it for less than 5k anywhere
Thank you for the RH25 video. How would you say the image of the Rix Std6 compares? It seems to have a higher thermal sensitivity.

Excellent video(s)!!!
I recommend the AGM Rattler Ts35-384 for a "budget" thermal weapon sight/handheld. They are selling around $2000 atm.
Will look into that. Thing about thermal is that unlike NODs it seems technology is developing quick so there are a lot of interesting options
Thank you for the great video. Be careful in Chiraq.
Great info and video, thank you! Does the image get much worse infront of an optic? An how good is it in spotting rats and rabbits in clip-on?

Sadly they are out and removed from their site. I ordered a couple days ago and got a cancellation.
Where did you purchase yours?
So since you looked at other videos, what did you think of the Voodoo S?
I thought it looks great but then again it should considering it costs more than my daily driver.
