You know.....I never thought I would ever see a drum mag in a bolt action. I'm over here living in 2022, and you're living in 3022. Great video as always.
Awesome!! Love a good accurate .308 bolt gun… good barrel life and it’s actually affordable to shoot now a days for what it is. Everyone have a great day!
Between me getting to shoot my RPR in .308 I always watch these videos for fun to remind me how awesome that rifle is and what it can do I love mine it always delivers 👍👍
Great video. Took advice from TA and upgraded my Ruger American in 308. I shoot Tula if I do my job it's consistently more accurate than others brass ammo I have tried. I definitely agree it's worth saving the money and shooting more rounds. Give Tula at try.
@@MrKKUT1984 Ah. What did you order? I lucked out and got a demo model Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 at nearly 50% off and the dang thing looked like it had never been touched when I got it.
My first rifle was a .243 Winchester and if I were to get an RPR it would be the gen 1 in .243 such a beautiful rifle and it packs a punch. First deer I shot was with .243 and being like 9 or something i flinched a little and shot slightly high making the deer do a flip into the creek behind it.
All the doom & gloom shooters who insist barrels will burn out fast, are bench rest nuts who demand .5moa or better. When groups grow bigger than that, they consider a barrel burned out. Give me a break, ignore all that crap. The only time I take special care of barrel cleaning, are the 1st 20 rounds. For .308, .300rum and. 338lapua, I clean every round for the 1st 5. Then every 3 or 4 until 20. After that, I don't clean until accuracy suffers. No abrasive pastes, just a solvent with brush, and a cpl patches after. You should get 8k out of that barrel no problem. And other than Tula being russian, the ammo is more than adequate. Some barrels like it, others won't, that goes without saying. Start shooting steel at a 1k to a mile, get out of the mindset of penny sized groups on paper. If you can hit steel at 1k +, your rifle is great, as is the ammo.
U need 5 rounds to warm the barrel up....then rounds 6 thru 12 will be most accurate as heats from there accuracy will slowly demenish....195 degrees is the sweet spot.
These are good guns. I have two of them, one in 223, and the other in 308. The 223 is good out to 500 yards. And 308 out to 1000 yards. And what's great about them, you can work on them yourself. Like to get a 22" 6.5 creedmoor barrel for the 308. Have a good one

It's essentially built just like an AR10, as per the barrel and rail mounting design. There are adjustable gas blocks that you can buy, that let you turn the gas all the way off. If installed on your AR10, you can turn that gas off and basically turn it into a straight pull back bolt action-- very similar to this. I have a DB10 that can shoot sub MOA quite often, that I bought for $750.. Nutnfancy has a good vid on a DB10 that shows similar results that I also have had. Impressively accurate. (DB10's use the same receivers as the SR25/ M110 SASS).
BCM says in their small print that you are not to shoot their guns more than one shot per every 4 seconds/ or 15 shots per minute max. WOW, I have a gen 1 in 6.5 creedmoor and had been wondering about the longevity of the rifle.
This has definitely put my mind at ease, many thanks.
6.5 will have a considerably shorter barrel life than 308 so keep that in mind.
Creedmoor barrel life is at least half that of 308

Really depends on what you want to do with the rifle. This is definitely easier to shoot accurately, but at the cost of being heavier and slower.
It all depends on application
