    Professor Emeritus, Department of History at Aligarh Muslim University.
    Dr. Habib has worked on the historical geography of Ancient India, the history of Indian technology, medieval administrative and economic history, colonialism and its impact on India historiography.
    He has authored a number of books, some of which include - Agrarian System of Mughal India, 1556-1707, People's History of India, Essays in Indian History, Akbar & His India.
    Dr. Najaf Haider: #drnajafhaider
    Professor of Medieval & Early Modern History at Center For Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
    Haider has published on themes relating to monetary economy, international trade, and inter-cultural communication. He is currently working on Record Keeping, Accountancy and the Mughal Secretarial Class.
    Haider was HERMES Research Fellow at MSH, Paris, Visiting Fellow at the SOAS and Samir Shamma Fellow at St Cross College, University of Oxford.

    Associate Professor of History at Ashoka University.
    Her debut book, Imperial Andamans: Colonial Encounter and Island History, examines the penal history of the Andaman Islands. Her second book, My Son’s Inheritance: A Secret History of Blood Justice and Lynchings in India, has drawn international attention.
    Her recent book includes Awaiting Swaraj: Ascetic Imagination and Revolutionaries in Dialogue. Another book on a famous trial of the Indian revolutionaries during British India, Revolutionaries on Trial: Sedition, Betrayal and Martyrdom, is to be published by Aleph in 2022.

    Historian, Author and Public Speaker.
    He works on the political and social history of early modern and modern South Asia.
    He is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London. In 2017 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society.
    Author of the books Sixteen Stormy Days, Imperial Sovereignty and Local Politics and Nehru: The Debates that Defined India.

    if not it is a task of a historian to glorify characters then why aurangzeb is eulogised as zinda pir or the narrative of old lakshmana sena escaping from the khilji invasion through the back door instead of telling he is the gsaudeshwar the protector of kashi to be islamized .
