  • Replacing the CDI on my motorized bicycle so the bike will work again. The CDI controls the spark of the spark plug, and without a working CDI, the bike won't work. I found a replacement on eBay for $10.
    The 80cc motor on this Huffy Nel Lusso bike was purchased on eBay.

    As a tip only: Never forget to also check out your spark plug wiring and boot. That wire sometimes breaks or gets cracked, so it too can create issues. A little dab of dielectric grease in the boot also helps to keep moisture out so a clean spark is always present. Nice video and info.

    Your back fender is about to get sucked off
    I was. Going 45 when my rear fender got ripped off the top fasteners and the one but the kickstand. Next a loud grinding sound and fishtailing cause my rear fender did a 180. It stopped because I had two struts to sturdy it
    . So the rear isn't on the pavement I was justbpast the radar sign which said 45 slow down and the back of my bike was trying to catch up with the front from the left, seconds Earlier I overcorrrcted from being crossed up on the right. Before I could safely lay it down the rear skid / wheel Jamed into a small pothole / crack in the asphalt. I was surprised at how little the bike slowed as the rear in-hub Bendix brake was the first thing I applied but the tire was on the fender and the friction on my rear chrome fender detracted little from my speed. Anyway as I cartwheeled down examining Blvd I tore two ligaments in the right knee and put so much torque on my spine a cyst from my outer spine gut pulled into the conduit that houses the nerves and yourl fluid. And when I got twisted back around just as violently that cyst got jammed into the nerve bundle and I had the worst experience afterward. The pain shot down the left cheek Of my ass and down and around the left leg and foot. I count get out of bed for eight months. When I had to crutch to the bathroom it took 15 minutes for the pain to subside. Has neuro surgery. In January that fixed the nerve problem miraculously! I wouldn't go through the mri prep and the travel to fix the right knee so I kind now. Love the fender. It's not worth it. Wanted to

    Hi I am learning from your videos and just subscribed to your channel. My youngest son rode his 2-stroke bicycle (like yours) up to visit me. It took him about 18 hours to go the 138 miles and less than 2 gallons of fuel! He used a lightweight bike trailer on the back to carry some food, drinks, tools, coat, etc. Anyway, I've been interested in "prepping" for quite some time, and I would like to build one of these. Your videos are going to come in really handy to help me figure things out. One question: while you had the back tire off to put the sprocket on, I was thinking that would be a good time to change out the tire to maybe a tubeless or something that would require less (and easier) maintenance. Any thoughts on that?

    I have bought 2 NT carburetors and both of them create an air leak where the flimsy "Metal bend over metal with a clamp" part is(carb to intake manifold). I see that you have the exact same design of nt carb and your carb might even be the same as mine. Your intake manifold "pipe" looks a lot better quality though. what do you recommend me doing to fix the leak? is there a way to seal the carburetor or should I just get a better intake manifold?

    Hi Steve.I have a few questions: Does the additional weight make it harder to pedal without the aid of the engine? How does the engine fare going up steep inclines? How much miles can you get out a full tank of fuel on average?

    • @dw2843
      @dw2843 5 лет назад +1

      @@Steve_Does_Stuff Thanks Steve. Here's a hypothetical situation (assume that my biking ability is similar to yours):
      I ride a normal bike on a flat surface with a normal pedaling force (one that I can sustain for extended periods of time) and I reach a speed of x mph. Now on my motorized bike I want to go up a relatively steep incline at the same speed. How much pedal assist will I need? E.g .is the amount of force I used on a flat surface on my normal bike enough? Sorry if the question sounds convoluted.

    • @keatoncampbell820
      @keatoncampbell820 5 лет назад

      @@dw2843 From what riding mine has taught me, you don't really need to pedal all that much, if you don't care about slowing down a bit. I pedal a bit when going up the really steep hills around where I ride, but it really is only a bit. You'll have to pedal more if you decide to get a different sprocket that changes your max speed, as an increase in max speed means a decrease in torque, and I have definitely had that happen with the 32T instead of the factory 44T

      # Clutch cog has come loose. If you used the socket (tube spanner) to rotate the sprocket when installing the chain, you could have loosened the nut. Use only removable thread locker on the shaft, be aware not to cross thread the nut.
      # Chain link came out. This happens as there is not enough clearance between the chain and the clutch cover. As you have already run the motor, check the cover for chain contact. File the cover to increase the clearance. I also found this the hard way. Now fill the cover before final assembly. Make sure that the master link clip is correctly installed, round end in direction of chain movement.
      # Clutch cable snapped. Check the cable routing, should be free and not bunched up ( kinked). The inner is standard Brake inner. You can apply light Oil on the cable before re installing. Did you lightly grease the Drive gear to Clutch Hub. as the Hub is fiber.
      # Exhaust has fallen of twice. The Exhaust hangs on the two studs and vibrates working the nuts loose. Add lock nuts , two nuts / stud. Add a clump from the Silencer( Muffler in USA) to the frame. The clamps can be found at your local Hardware Store.

    The MOST EEFED up thing is NOBODY has a single Huffy Cranbrook or Del Nuso in stock! Unless its a girls frame! Seriously! And sellers price them like they already have an engine on them!! Lol

    Your videos show good running well-built equipment being operated unsafely. As a vehicle driver (all bikes are vehicles), you are required to stop at stop signs. In one case it looked as if you failed to yield the right of way to a car on your right. Please, use your videos to teach good, safe driving habits as well.

      Look, I'm going to level with you on this one. Good safe driving habits are important, but I don't come to RUclips to worry about how other people should drive safely. We could have a conversation about hand signals, the lack of a truly sufficient braking system, or missing rear view mirrors; but that's not the point here. This content creator, is having fun testing out his motorized bicycle, that he just fixed. Sit back and enjoy video for what it is.
