what the hell is he talking about forward peddling cranks lol what are you gonna do peddle sideways ???? he means the bottom bracket is set more forward on the frame
Hacks to save time. 1.Instead of taking the clutch covers of the engine, engage the clutch with the hand clutch lever provided and place one end of the chain into the engines sprocket and rotate with your finger the under side of the engines sprocket so that the chain rotates outward and chain comes out the other end. 2. Hide the white wire off the CDI if you are not going to add any head lights to your bike. Coconnect the colors that match first and then connect wires that appear to be ground to the black one for example brown or green. then you guess right their is one wire left to connect I'll let you figure that one out. 3. Allow enough elasticity on your fuel filter by placing decent amount fuel line hose to avoid any stretching and disconnecting the line and having to replace the hoses and spilling fuel. 4. If your engine is new it will take some time to start make sure to open the fuel line and to open the carburetor. Gas tank opens to the right and carburator opens downward on the lever.
A mechanic told me that if I'm not confident that i can finish the project, i can do all the parts that dont remove the chain from the bike and do the engine and bike part last. Would that be smart or just take on the project in a day
I made the mistake of listening to people and watching videos about building a bike. They said never use rubber motor mounts. Big mistake as I had nothing but problems the whole time. Finally mounted it with them and it made all the difference in the world. Always always use rubber when mounting a 2 stroke.
It's always good to take some old bike tire tube that's cut into strips and wrap them around where the tube of the bike where the engine touches the frame between the engine and the tube on front and back, it helps reduce vibration a fair bit and shake and it keeps the engine from digging into the metal of your bike tubing
I will be getting a motor sometime in the future for my bike, and I saved this video for that time. Very simple to follow, steady camera, and not rushing.

Compared to the instruction manual that came with my kit. This video is great. Thanks you saved me a lot of heartache and confusion. Here is a tip: When in installing the sprocket I measured the distance from the threaded shaft to the end of the teeth at 180 degrees segments. When measurements equal, this insures that the sprocket is centered.
I bought the 100cc anbull kit...the kit was missing about everything ...so in luck I had most of everything I needed from my old kit...well this video has helped me in putting together my bike with the parts left over
I actually bothered to do the math and the calculator says the instructions translate to 3.125% oil per volume, I usually add 4 oz. of oil to a gallon of gas (conveniently measured by a mason jar :p )
Great video thanks! I'm just wondering if something was left out during the editing of the end of vid. The fuel mix ratio wasnt shown or described in any detail.
18:1 should be 7.1 oz oil to a gallon. 24:1 would be 5.3 oz. Too much oil leans out the fuel mixture since it's getting less gas and will run hotter, so more isn't better.

I'm actually going to be buying a bike next month that a local here built in Canada Way Down East. And I'm pretty sure the whole shebang came from you. At least the motor and whatnot definitely did. So believe me when I say this, you have Canadian customers. Already have one that I'm working on a building and whatnot but I think it's still a good idea to have the backup. And I tend to trust it where a good chunk of it was built by you bikeberry then the rest of it was put together by a very experienced person. I'm good with the motors as I'm a certified small engine mechanic. However I'm still learning the rest of it which is all very much important. Like making sure your sprocket gets mounted correctly and true so the chain is within its parameters, things like that. And that's where your videos help a lot as well. Therefore I do trust anything that comes from you
I agree with the comment about the tools used in this video but on the other hand compared to other videos I've seen this one is comprehensive and easy to understand. As I said in my last post this video saved me a lot of heartache. As far as the electrical there it's that much to it without getting into a technical explanation of how it all works. I personally just wanted to install the kit and get it running. So I would give this video an A minus which is still very good. Additionally FYI there is a lot of info on the internet on these motorized kits so spend some time and do some research before you get started.
Hi guys! Thank you, this is a great tutorial. It explains a great deal. I got a kit sold to me without the rubber spacers or the universal mounts and it just won't fit. Where can I get those so I can proceed with the build? Do you sell them separately? Thanks!!!!
We were limited to 49cc with out getting a license. So I bought an 80cc engine and stamped it 49cc. So long as I never got caught going over 20 mph I was OK. My bike did a scary 29 mph.
best tutorial out there.... had I watch this the first time I would not be going back as I am now to correct things :) thanks for taking the time to make this vid!
Actually. I do. And I Horde those Shits Like Fuckin Diamonds. I have one simple rule. I don't lend out my tools... Period. Plus. I don't have kids... Soooo that's saving me a lot of heart ache...
When I put my sprocket on the spokes I did it by taking the rear wheel off the bike, fitting the sprocket, plates, bolts, rubber ect loosely then refitting the wheel to the bike to do the alignment.I find if you attach something to the bike's rear frame near the sprocket (ideally a DTI gauge but lol I held the hammer against the frame) and rest it on the big sprocket so its just touching, then turning the wheel it will let you see how much the sprocket is out by and let you adjust it in both up and down and left and right directions until you have it done up right. The manual with mine said the tolerance is 1.5mm (but not in which direction?) which was easy enough to achieve.
Of all the videos and info I've looked up considering these engines this is by far the absolute best there is. My bike is nothing like these new easier models lol. It's a fat butt Shwinn Stingray and I still got it mounted within an hour of watching this. Tho the electric wiring part could be a tad better in explanation as not all the engines come with those colors and it's rather easy for newbies to cross wires. Other than that absolutely awesome job on this 👍
Hi. I'm a paraplegic and use a wheelchair. I would love to do a build like this but I would have to start with something LOWER with THREE WHEELS. Kind of like a trike. Have you ever heard of this being done ??? and what are the chances of my success with this project ??? I'd greatly appreciate your info and advice if you are able to give it. Thank You. Yes I have one but for a trike build I would recommend a 49cc 4 stroke engine if you want to ride in residential areas because near me they hate all my dirt bikes three wheelers and motorcycles etc.

Additionally FYI there is a lot of info on the internet on these motorized kits so spend some time and do some research before you get started.
Thank you so much man for putting a lot of effort into this video and instructions, super useful!
Thanks for the video got my bike built in one day
I wanna do this does it still work

Hi guys! Thank you, this is a great tutorial. It explains a great deal. I got a kit sold to me without the rubber spacers or the universal mounts and it just won't fit. Where can I get those so I can proceed with the build? Do you sell them separately? Thanks!!!!
amazon
We were limited to 49cc with out getting a license. So I bought an 80cc engine and stamped it 49cc. So long as I never got caught going over 20 mph I was OK. My bike did a scary 29 mph.
Thanks to this video I was able to fix the wiring on a bike that i just bought with brand new engine . Wiring wasn’t done right.
This is a very useful video i actually enjoyed this instructional video
Anthony Hughes, Thanks!
best tutorial out there.... had I watch this the first time I would not be going back as I am now to correct things :)
thanks for taking the time to make this vid!
NFORSA you need to put the clutch in ride the bike and let go of the clutch the engine will start use the clutch
Is this supposed to be some kind of joke…? Everyone knows that there isn’t a single person on earth who knows where their 10 mm socket is
This post literally sent a shiver down my spine.....its always a 10
I always know where my shit is
We went through 10, TEN sockets.
It's almost like they're disposable. One use.
Actually.
Thank You. Sincerely, JAMES.
5 years and still waiting huh ? Damn i just subscribed too
Yes I have one but for a trike build I would recommend a 49cc 4 stroke engine if you want to ride in residential areas because near me they hate all my dirt bikes three wheelers and motorcycles etc.
Buzz Clark the 49cc 4 stroke kit has a pull start so you won’t have to pedal to start the engine
Curtis check my new comment
you will need an electric front hub motor to kick it over
Can you make a list of the tools needed?
Legends watching after 9year old😂😅
Guess what. Watching in 2024
GOD BLESS YOU..BEEN TRYING TO BUILD ONE OF THESE.IM WAITING ON A NEW KIT.. I REALY NEED IT TO WORK N FUNKION
Great video! I have a white wire coming from motor. 50/50 chance of getting right. Does it go to blue or black? Thanks
#1 DON'T use a Zip tie for the Chain guard! It'll break off! Use a small hose clamp. #2 Use BLUE LOCKTITE on ALL NUTS AND BOLTS!!! Your Welcome
theone2be33 thank god, he should pin it so nobody gets hurt
You're welcome**
You are welcome ;P
Also you could just use a better zip-tie.
Thank you so much! This is really helpful. It is a very well organized video! 🙏👍.
Great video. Very good instructions!
Gotta love the cracked motor mount to the frame at 6:35 - 7:25
So besides the kit, what tools do you need to complete this?
Just a 10mm wrench, and needle nose pliers?
I wish someone would design a brake caliper that would work with the chain drive sprocket.
Energy Nut grow up and do it yourself
I am watching in 2024
Same here might get one
Why am I the only person who wants to know how fast this thing goes?
Around 25-30mph
@@J_Jim-mo3ub That's wrong. A 66 cc (80/100 cc don't really exist for bicycles) can go up to 80kph or 110mph if tuned right and built right, out of the box it can go 50kph 80mph or faster.
@@darrylkinslow5613 One mph equals exactly 1.609344 kilometers per hour (km/h). refresh you numbers..
@@Dartoras Sorry I reversed it,Yeah, I wasn't going for exact, I was guessing. And one thing I do know for sure is that 50mph on the speedometer is about 80kph, so I' m not so far off. But I did mean kph when I said how fast the motor is. I remember catching a ride with U.S. citizens in Canada, they didn't know what kph was, so they were driving at around 110kph, lucky they didn't get stopped. But we got far, pretty fast.
@@darrylkinslow5613 I did not want to offend you, I live in the EU and with so much content in the US on the Internet, when I saw it, I thought it was just miss written
I would also put thread locker on the exhaust manifold and anything with a gasket so the head gasket bolts and the carburetor intake. Had experience with these booth coming loose and the exhaust falling off! With thread locker no problem at all
For example, the rear sprocket 44 tooth has burrs on one side.
These should be filed clean before the installation ! That could take up to an hour by itself. I did this with a small round file.
It will save your chain from exploding, and yes it has happened to me
I bought your stage 4 and I hate that sticker “this is made for racing” I tore that off and bought a 49cc sticker
That's to get around emissions laws, by classifying it as a racing part rather than a road vehicle part.

great video! am starting my build today and this helped so much
did you finish it ever? how is the bike doing?
@@walkerfharris built 4 since then with a 5th ready to be built. i using an rat bike with oversized frame and tires. just trying to figure out how to mount the engine
i think i am ready to do some commercial builds for resale. also bikeberry.com is a great source of parts and kits if you have not already checked them out
I wiegh 315 I'm a big guy do you think this motor would pull me along bad?
You will be fine I'm 260 and I've road a weaker engine at it its top speed
You'll be okay, but you'll look silly as hell
Is there any kit for a 20 inch bmx bike?
Thanks man I am not tool savey and this helped me understand my bike I was wondering what the little plastic part between the mortar and the exhaust was called
What is the fuel ratio? It doesn't say...
Most agree around 35:1
Some people also say 40:1 but do what you think is best.
32:1
most helpful info on the net really helped me thanks a lot
Are these legal to ride when you're under 16?
bob sacar They are legal!
Varies by state in USA over here in GA we need a learners permit at least be 16 and wear a helmet.
+BikeBerrycom in uk?
in canada
+joshua wagner no. In GA we need to be 15, have a learner's permit, and wear a helmet.
Can you do it with a bike that has gears?
What do you do for the electrical portion of your kill switch if it doesn't have any male ends to it, just open exposed wire?
I was the 26000 subscriber! =D
Cool vid guys!!

Can you do one showing how to install said engine on a schwinn stingray? There's lots of vids of people showing theirs off but not a single instructional video on how to do it
It's the same exact process...
Mine came in today and I'm so excited. I'll update you when I put it together and tell you how it goes
How did it go?
My kit came in yesterday and I'm missing g alot of parts that the video shows it comes with... hope you had better luck.
Love how the chain went from silver to black back to silver 😂😂😂
It's the evidence of magical editing.
Usually my videos aren't as clean as that.
“Fuel ratio is as follows: Says and shows nothing “
lmao exactly
Ok so if watched a lot. First 2 gas tanks are 1:16 (example: 100ml oil, 1.6L Gas Permium. After those 2 tanks you can go 1:24 or 1:26. (Some even do 1:40 but idk about that)
Hope that helps :)
I hope I will help. First 2 tanks get 1 : 16 ration (100ML Oil and 1600ML Premium Gas. After those 2 tanks use 1 : 24 or 1 : 26 (your choice)
@@OlegAverin-nz2fe dawg i posted that 2 years ago
0:30 hahahaha I’m doing it on a bmx
Did it work
@@arablakba6988 yeah for 2-3 months then i rode it basically everyday i was adjusting the spark plug and snapped off the hook saving for a new plug and a pull start because the wheel size is 20 inches it has to be rolling down a hill to start
What is your bike has front and back disc brakes
I recommend adding 8 oz of oil for every 1 gallon of gas for the break in period(16:1)
I scored on an old road bike from my work. (moving company.) Downside is- the rear wheel has a 3 spd internal drive hub. But upside is, I have a 26 Sun ringle wheel I had bought but never used. Should work decently if the wheel fits the old bike I found. Plan on riding it to, and from work. Should be fun, even in the snow. I'm going to try and find a use mountain bike with a straight hard rear frame so I can use that in the snow.
Very good! Harbor Freight has some seamers that are well made but inexpensive. They make quick work of bending pliable brackets. Do you sell the link removal tool?
It helps a lot to see how some stuff gets done so you know how to do it thank you I'm trying to get in to it I am a new at all of this
What about the white wire? Comes oit of the engine block next to blue and black for spark. No mention anywhere for it in any instructions. Thank you and great video.
you should do a size comparison on a 48 cc 2 stroke engine vs a 80 cc 2 stroke
Superlike, explained so well. Very informative video
Love how it says here's the fuel ratio...then doesn't show it...otherwise super helpful. Got it bust out in a weekend. And that's while my 1yo daughter was "helping"
my bike frame is wider on both ends for the engine mounts....any mounts that work with that??
what kit brand did you use for this video
That open wrench you used to remove the mounting studs looked a lot like a pair of pliers 😆
i got this same engine for my schwinn occ chopper, kinda had to modify a little bit
