I always clear cap all my mani sets... I call it my topper..I wont miss this step as I have worked so hard 2 build up the nail & if I have done a french or a ombre I do not wanna file away my work. So its a total must 2 clear cap all my work 💅

@@1H20Pro you can always ask me questions!! I wear gloves to keep as much of the dip powder and anything else I’d accidentally touch off my skin. I have very sensitive skin and don’t want to get contact dermatitis! I got it a few years ago from getting so much mail product on my skin so I’m very careful now!

@@Canadiangamergirl8618 you absolutely can do clear dip powder as your base, efile down to the clear dip. Do a fill of the clear dip powder, active, let that set, then rough up the top of the clear, wipe with alcohol and dip your colors! This way you know your entire nail is getting activated in case you do either the clear or color too thick!
Love your videos! Where would i apply peel base after builder? I understand you need to rough it up for that retention, but also that peel base needs a smooth service?
What about rubber base (instead of builder) under peel base? I really want to make that work more than anything!
Also, do you ever use monomer with the powder? Id love to do: dehydrate -> primer -> rubber base -> peel base -> powder with monomer -> top coat. I did a swatch with just the dip+monomer+top coat and it turned out great so id love to do an awesome rubber base and peely prior. Any advice? I know i asked a ton but you seem so knowledgeable and sweet. Thank you and take care!
Hi Katie! If you’re using peel base over builder gel- you’ll want to either buff your BG super smooth or apply gel top over it. Peel base does need a smooth surface to work!
You absolutely can use rubber base under builder gel- I’ve done that a bunch of times. Some people get better adhesion with rubber base but like the hardness of BG so they just use one thin layer of rubber base under their BG.
Or you can use just rubber base under peel base. Same as the Bg- either buff super smooth or apply gel top coat over it before using peel base.
I tried monomer a few times but the smell gave me a severe headache so I haven’t tried again. If you like the monomer- you definitely can try it! I’m not sure how peel base works under monomer- if you need more or less. You’d have to experiment with that!! I’ll link some rubber bade videos here for you too! Happy to answer questions anytime!!

I use OG Dip Powder’s dip liquids- they apply thinly, easy to work with, hard to contaminate and crazy shiny top coat! My favorite of the 30+ brands of liquids I’ve used!

I thought builder gel is supposed to even itself out via gravity?
Builder gel does self level to an extent, but you still have to apply it to the right place and not flood your cuticles or apply too much gel on one side, etc. Self leveling means it won’t be bumpy. Flipping your nail over helps it to self level and form the apex.
