I have been doing my own dip for several months now to save money and I could never get it to last more than a week without popping off. I watched your video before my latest application and I am currently on week three with no chips or lifting! Thank you!!!!
I'm SO happy to find a tutorial that doesn't involve buffing the natural nails! The whole reason I started doing my nails was to break the habit of biting them so they could grow and be healthy. It never made sense to scratch the hell out of them when my main goal is to keep them from being damaged.

@Danica Wilson Agree! It annoys me when I tell them to be careful of my natural nail and they still get the electronic drill out. I had a salon have 2 ladies do this to my hands 3 times through before I said something. They basically sanded my nail so far down that you could see the pink skin underneath and then my nail broke 2 days later because my natural nail was so weak underneath.
I've been a licensed nail technician for 20 years and I'm struggling with dip powder. I stumbled upon your video, and everything you said about prep and application is exactly right. I've been practicing on myself because I can't in good conscience offer this as a service until I get it perfected. I realized watching this video that I have basically been treating the dip powder the same as I treat acrylic powder, and this may be the problem. I think I prep and finish too aggressively, so I'm going to try your techniques (and products: I just ordered the glass cuticle pusher and the Mani Boss base, activator, and two colors) and see if I get better results. Mani Boss was sold out of both the top coat and the gel base/top coat so I'll use mine and hope they play well together. I appreciate how articulate you are, I'm interested in watching your other videos to see what else I can learn. Thank you also for the product links and discount codes! :)
I am so excited to hear what you think of the products!! If anyone out there can do it, it’s YOU!! I love that you are trying out a new technique for your clients. You sound like a phenomenal nail technician! You’ll do amazing at it 🙌🏼💗 thank you for taking the time to comment 🥰
I have ladies who do mine differently. Some start in the middle of nail and work out. They were doing dip w chunky glitter and clear dip on top. Kept them from being thick 😅
It wasn’t working for me at first either then I realized it’s better to do one layer on each nail instead of doing three layers on one nail at a time.. if you do one layer on each nail then do the second layer and so on it gives it time to dry.. i use her method lol
*Hi! I can't find anything similar to the liquids you showed in one of the steps. I live in Norway; do you know what it is? Like, the bottle? The one at Sally's and the other one. I'll just need to use the one with my Dipsy set for now. I haven't tried it yet. I also ordered a clear powder thanks to you! -Katarina*
I cannot imagine anyone not liking this! Last year when I was dipping, I had terrible lifting problems, I was too harsh with my prep and with the removal, my natural nails were ruined. Now that they've grown out and I have these techniques, I am ready to dip again! Thank you, oh thank you!
You are so sweet!! Thank you so much! I am so sorry to hear about your nails though 🥺💗 it is definitely a huge learning experience to find what works and doesn’t. I can’t wait to hear how it goes once you dive back in! You totally got this!! 🙌🏼
I've been struggling with my dip polish lifting after a few days. I was just about to give up on it when I watched this video. These tips literally worked miracles. I paid close attention and followed these instructions - including purchasing the glass cuticle pusher and glass files, as well as the Sparkle & Co pH prep - and the dip polish I put on two weeks ago is still firmly in place. Thank you so much for creating this tutorial!
I bought a dip kit like three weeks ago. And my nails looked horrible. Stumbled upon your page on insta and landed here. After watching a few, I did them again today and WOW! What a difference from my first time! Appreciate all the tips and my nails looks 10x better this time. Thank you!!!
I love how you did more than a how too and actually included multiple products for each steps and whats best! I could never find a video with what products are best!!!
Bless this video! I was getting ready to give up on doing my own dip nails. I struggled with lifting and I hated how much I had to rough up my nails to make it effective. I followed your base layer tip a week ago and now my nails are holding up like salon quality. Thank you thank you thank you!!
I have become obsessed with RUclips vids on dips, gels, tips, and all things beautiful nails.. I find your pace, voice, style and overall presentation is the best, you are simply delightful and easy to learn from. I want to thank you so much for the gift of your experience and enormous generosity as you share your knowledge. You are a gem!
Dip powder is so much easier than poly gel to me! I used artificial nails and buffed the fake nails. Trying to get my real nails to grow!🎉❤ Love this tutorial 😊
I recently got a dip kit and have been so intimidated to try it out. Was really into gel and I am just sick of the lifting and difficult removal. I let my nails grow and get healthy again, but need some strength bc they are not thick. I feel better trying dip powder now that I don’t have to buff my nails. Thanks for the video 😊
I'm a new dip DIYer and I've been having issues with lifting. I see now how many mistakes I was making in my prep and process. I learned so much from this video! Can't wait to try it!
I did not have any success with dip until I came across your videos.. now I love it. When I was doing it I was doing three layers on one finger and moving to the next. 3 layers on that finger and so on. It never dried lol. Your method makes them come out perfect. Thank you
not only was this video extremely informative but it was soooo satisfying and fun to watch. it gave me all the information i could ever need! thank you so much!
Thank you so much for such an informative video I just recently let my nails grow out for the past six months because what happens is you go to the salon and you tell them to be easy with filling on your natural nail… and what do they do every freaking time they take too many layers of my natural nail off I do not have thick nails to begin with so I’m going to order the glass cuticle pusher and bring it in with me and have them use that and if they need to use anything, I will bring a very super fine nail file for them if they want to gently buff the top and that’s it. I’m just so tired of these women destroying my nails I did buy a kit which may be our attempt to do them myself but the whole purpose going to a salon is to not have to do it yourself, but I really wish this industry would get caught up and stop with a crazy filing down your natural nail bed till you have paper thin nails!! And it looks like you ONLY use that tool on the matrix area and the size and that’s it with your dehydrator so I think I will bring this video with me next time as well and then they can have a look at it
I'm so glad I watched your video. I ordered the glass file and the prep and dehydrator. I haven't tried my dip kit yet and now I know how to prep my nails before starting.
This was an absolute lifesaver!!! I have been dipping for two years and was consistently getting the “lifting” where my hair got caught in my nails. I tried your tips and my set lasted two weeks without any lifting! I only changed because I wanted a new color or I think they would have gone longer!! Thank you so much for doing this video!
This video was a game changer! I started doing my own nails this summer and your videos, especially this one, has helped me not give up after experiencing lifting after 2-3 days. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for doing this video. I’m guilty of washing my hands. I’m stopping that now. I don’t have a problem with lifting but I really need to use your tips on cuticle care. I’m ordering that glass pusher. Your nails look so healthy. I can’t wait to see the rest of these informative videos. And by the way, that color is so pretty on your nails. Have a good evening. 🤩
I'm a 30 year nail tech. I do mostly acrylic. I do a few dip Nails. I use Young Nails Conversion Base and Top Coat. These are great tips, that I really need!! Thanks!! I love your videos!!
@@tatosilva3280 Hi. The best two that I can recommend are ASP resin glue and ANC resin glue. They work the best. I was using ANC long before I became a certified nail tech. A little goes a long way with both glues. Make sure that they are nail resin brush on glues and not regular nail brush on glues (those are for doing tips and other press ones). Resins resemble closer to a gel consistency while the regular brush on glue is runny like water (free flowing).
Love these tips! Your base coat instead of buffing the nails is a game changer. My nails are so much stronger! Next, trying the glass cuticle pusher!!!
@@SipAndDip Just looking for clarification on this portion are you only doing a layer of base coat with no dip so its essentially two layers of base before you dip?
@@SipAndDip and if you’re doing the gel dip method should we do the same thing with a gel base (instead of dip base) cure it, then gel base, dip, and flash cure each finger until the final 60-90 sec cure? Then move onto the second (well third) base coat layer and dip then cure. Then top coat and cure!?
It’s been a month since I brought my mail dip powder kit from beetles brand. 3 weeks since I started using & testing it out on myself. I was a little disappointed in liquid applicators sizes, which holds half of product. The dip powders are really small than I assumed. The quality is really good! It’s a great starter for someone who wants to save money and do your nails at home! Less work to do compared to poly gel and using monomer. Which as a strong overwhelming smell. I can’t get use too. It’s a bit messy and lots of dust as usual, if you shape and buff your nails before and after! Prepping the nail is super important when using dip powder, this video is well spoken!! I will be buying my own glass nail filer and cuticle pusher, bristle brush as well as buffing blocks. Thank you!
Monomer is so bad for you and your nails it’s illegal in like 30 states for a reason I can’t stand the professionals who still use this and makes videos knowing how dangerous it is! They claim it’s just bc of how hard it gets and cure time smh glad you were put off by the smell you should look into it and let everyone know!
Can you do a video on encapsulation? Best practices, potential issues (patchy coverage, fogginess, etc.) and how to fix them, and tips and tricks? Also thank you for your videos-I have learned so much from you!
Your BARE nails are GORGEOUS Doll! 🥰 Thanks for your exceptional videos; your suggestions work, your editing is perfection, and I’m learning so much! ♥️💅🏾
This video was so incredibly helpful. I have never done dip powder on myself, I rarely even paint my own nails. I followed all the tips and even bought these products and my first time came out looking really good! Even with my shakey hands, my nails look like I got them done at a salon. Thank you so much for making this video!
Most helpful tip/hack/tutorial video I’ve found! I’ve thought myself to me a bit more than a beginner but could not figure out how to prevent lifting. I thought my natural nails just rejected everything, lol. They use to start lifting after just a couple days, after using your tips, they aren’t going anywhere! The “base” layer of base is brilliant!
Yayyyy!! So happy to hear this!! I know how frustrating it can be trying to figure out what works best for your nails. And I’m so glad that you have!! 🥳🥳🥳
I’ve watched countless nail prep videos and this one is the best I’ve seen by far. This is also the first video I’ve ever seen where glass tools were suggested for use. I’ve never been keen on using the metal cuticle pusher bc of the same reason, so seeing this much better alternative is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
I love your videos I have learned a lot, thanks to the videos I no longer spend in beauty salons and what I spend is for materials for my own use. This technique to remove the material is excellent, it has saved me hours of having my nails wrapped with aluminum foil and acetone. Thank you ☺️
I work in a nail salon 💅 and every time we put gel base and gel top clients comeback because it chip off, I’m definitely gonna try do it like in this video thank you for sharing ❤
I love this video! I have bought a glass cuticle pusher and a glass nail file online! I would love the swarovski crystal one you have, but its out of my price range so its just plain but I don't mind! I got a 2 in one glass nail pusher and file! i cant wait to use it! thanks for the tips! ❤💅
I’m glad you said that because I heard someone else warn against washing hands before starting the process. So I was confused when the instructions on my dip powder system advised to wash hands first.
Thank you so much for making this wonderful video. Your tips and tricks have been a game changer. This is my third try and my fingernails look professionally done.
What a fantastically done informative video! 💅🎯 Stunning nails. Not roughing up nails sounds wonderful to me. I'm going to follow this and start enjoying my hands again😊 ordering the glass cuticle remover too!... Thankyou 💕
This video came just in time!! I have terrible lifting and was beginning to think the product was junk! So glad I stumbled across this! I will definitely add these tiles next time I dip! Hopefully the lifting stops and they last longer!! Thank you so much! ❤️
I've had a couple problems where I smack my nail into something and both the powder and my actual nail will break. I bought a rubber base to go under the powder so that it would be a bit more flexible and hopefully prevent my nail from breaking (I'm pretty clumsy and I tend to hit my nails on a lot of crap). After watching this video I'm wondering whether that is actually a good idea. Thoughts?
Wow! Mind blown. Like many others here, I was too rough on my nails the first time around removing a salon dip. My nails are trying to grow back but some won’t stop splitting into the quick or layers lifting off. I dipped the worst ones in clear just to protect them. I am a total newbie who wants nails and COLOR! So much so I have dozens of dip jars hidden from my hubby lol with more on their way. And the glass cuticle pusher will be in the mailbox soon too. I did my right, dominant, hand yesterday (don’t judge…) and it took me approximately 7-8 hours 🤯 with adding tips. Whose dumb idea was it to add tips? On one stinking hand!!! UGH! So glad I found you this morning Chelsea. I’ll be trying your way on the left hand after lunch. There are so many things I love about your video I can’t even name them all. Not buffing the nails, a layer of dip base as a base coat (brilliant) clear, concise instructions and explanations are just a few. One of the biggest? You actually answered questions that were asked of you. I don’t see that often and I have to say BRAVO!🎉 You have a new, excited subscriber!
You have made my day!! Thank you for taking the time to show me some love 💗 and welcome to our little nail community!! My inbox is always open on IG if you ever need help along the way 🥰
Thank you for this video! I've watched quite a few videos to learn how to do this and seriously your video is the best I've seen!! Also thats a stunning ring! Very beautiful!
Thank you so much! I now have three different dip kits. Having good products is only half of the equation. The information you provide is crucial. I'm definitely getting better at it. I can't believe how much money I'm saving! ❤️💅🥂
Welcome to our little dip community! And you are so right! Getting the right products is only half the battle 💖 so happy to hear you’re getting better and better 🫶🏻
thank you for doing this video. ive been researching techniques and application videos to help me because i was struggling alot and didnt know what i was doing wrong. when i saw your video i jus new i had to try it. i also tried your nail soak method with the bowl and zip loc bag and coconut oil and it helped me out so much!! i just did my nails last night following your video step by step and omg they came out flawless! im feeling so confident because of this video. thank you!!
Omg i LOVE this! Very helpful tips. I shall share it in my dip powder group. I am going to do a gel polish for new year's eve but the next time I dip I'll be sure to re-watch this. Thank you
Thank you so much for this video!!! Just started using dip powders-I have very thin nails so have never been able to sustain pretty nails. Thanks so much for the tips! Fabulous video!!!
Wow the glass cuticle tool is a game changer! I’m new to dip and was looking for some tips before taking the DIY leap I’m so happy I found your channel! My first try came out great and I can tell it’ll last for weeks thank you!!
I got the glass cuticle pusher because of you. It is the BEST it works sooo good. Nothing has worked this good on my cuticles before not even a E-file 🙄. Thank you!!
I’m loving and very much appreciating your videos! This one in particular really made a difference for me! I’m on my 4th or 5th set of dip nails ever and they’re getting better every time, but I’m struggling to shape and file my short nails. Any chance you could do a dos and don’ts tutorial just on filing? I seem to file way too much and don’t end up with an apex 😬 Thanks for all your help 😊
Thank you so much for your kind feedback and support! I can definitely add this to my filming list 🫶🏻 I did recently share my “top 10 tips” that includes some filing and overall help. But I really like the idea of a dedicated video! Thank you for the suggestion 💕
I really appreciate your video. You are really good at demonstrating and explaining how to protect your natural nails and how to get good results. I have a few questions-what do you do to remove the dip powder? Do you give your natural nails a break from dip powders? Do you ever use gel polish instead of dip powder? Thank you for your video.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback 🥰 I use the hot water baggie method for my soak off. Here is the step by step tutorial for that if you’re interested! ruclips.net/video/shbTA_S-7bY/видео.html I typically try to keep dip powder on my natural nails to protect them so they don’t break. Right now I’m using peel base, so I’m not soaking in acetone. Peel base allows for easy pop off removal, usually within 1-3 days. To keep up with filming it’s great, but for longevity it’s not something I would use. Sometimes I’ll play with gel polish on top of dip powder! That way I still have the strength of dip powder and the quick application of gel 🥰
I have watched quite a few of your videos and I am planning on ordering my own kit here soon to be able to do my own at home! I’m looking forward to using your tips for myself!
This is a great tutorial on the important steps to a powder dipped manicure. I was using too much liquid and getting it on my skin. Thanks for these tips
Slapping the table! THANK YOU! I have been a newbie for far too long(I consider) because of the lifting. At first my nails were super strong, until I boo booed & covered them with Nail Off! For literally the past year I have been eating good foods & caring for my nails & the strength is not quite there but I am able to grow my nails out. & the strength is growing them out & clipping the weak parts. That is a biggie! I do follow others, & have tried some of their product & follow their directions. I appreciate you Chelsea! That color makes my hands clutch & place them under my chin! Swoon! 2 Thumbs up!! Happy Thursday!
I loved your video. My daughter and law have been doing dip nails together and we both get a lot of lifting or the dip mail popping off. So, watching this I hope next dipping will help. I already use the glass pusher and love it. I was also using the blue cross cuticle and I am wondering if that should have ever be used. I also buffed probably way too much before and after. Thank you for your helpful hints!
What is the dip that you used for the photo for the video? I love the glitter and have been looking for something like it! Wonderful video! I can't wait to try these tips!
So nice how it is explained here, what kind of thin layer of base you have to smear on it. I did dipping nails too fat my first time. But now I know for next time 😊
Thank you so much! 🥰 I use a dip powder liquid top coat normally! Sometimes I do use a gel top coat with dip liquids, all just depends what design/mani I am doing. You can absolutely use either a dip top coat or gel top coat! 🙌🏼💖
Wonderful, informative video. Thank you so much! I have one question for clarity. Your suggested alternative for buffing nails in prep is to use a base coat and let it dry, before adding powder. Am I understanding correctly? Thanks so much. Very new to dip powder, and I REaLLY want to love it. But it lasts a week for me before they start (literally) lifting and popping off!
Thanks for the great video! How do you keep your natural nails looking so strong and healthy!? Mine break all the time because they are so thin and frail and end up so short, it is very frustrating!
Thanks so much! And I always wash my hands right before doing my nails and I have problems with lifting at the tips. I’m definitely going to try this and not wash during my mani. My instructions always said to wash to remove dust. Now I know. Thank you!
Absolutely! You can stop after the 2nd activator. You can also apply your 2 layers of dip powder top coat, buff it off, and then apply activator again. That will give you more strength if desired. There are also matte gel polishes and matte nail polishes too 🫶🏻
Great video! I’m a dip newbie at only 2 months but I’ve been watching tons of videos and learning pretty quickly. But I do have a question about pulling the skin back when applying all the liquids...I saw you only pulling the thumb back, should I pull the skin away from every nail or is it only the thumb? Thanks in advance 😘
Welcome to our little nail community! 💗 So I usually only pull back the skin on my thumbs because it is the hardest nail for me to get all the way to the sidewalls 😆 most of my other nails have skin that’s not as raised on the sides so I don’t have as much trouble. So totally personal preference! ☺️
In the cuticle area, when you're applying top coat, do you put the top coat closer and completely over the dip at the cuticle or only on top of the dip?
Question. Do you not create an apex as it's your natural nail? So if I use a tip could I follow all of these steps ? I LOVEEEEEE my glass nail file. It's an amazing tool
I typically don’t create an apex just to save on time since I film so often and to keep the videos short. But I absolutely suggest it if you have longer nails, flat nail beds, or need more strength 💪🏼 (such as when they crack or chip). If you use tips there will be more steps involved. Such a filing down the edge where it meets the natural nail so there’s not a ridge. Removing the shine on the nail tips and so on. I would definitely suggest building up an apex if you plan to use tips so you get the best longevity and wear time 🫶🏻 Here’s another video I created that goes into more depth on building an apex depending on the shape to best prevent cracking/chipping. Hope this helps and happy dipping! ruclips.net/video/vhBz3q4riig/видео.html
I’ve used these tips and they’ve worked, but I’m going to do my first set with extensions tomorrow. Will the layer of base before dipping still help with lifting if I use tips??
Hey I love your videos and haven't started dipping yet but do have my supplies lol I'm nervous. In this video you dipped twice in the color and once in the clear? I just want to make sure I do it right thank you in advance
Hiiii! Welcome to dipping! That’s correct, my preference is to do 2 in color and 1 in clear. If you find you need more strength due to your lifestyle, nail length or shape, you can absolutely add more layers or build an apex. But for just getting started, 3 dips is a great way to start 🥰 you got this, happy dipping!
Chelsea, thanks a MILLION for your simple yet detailed descriptions for all the reasons why our manis fail! Started DIYing my own nails approx 2 months ago & now my nails are trashed! All my fault for doing alotta the things you caution against! I was a flood-er, too much filing & I'm paying the price with weak, bendy nails & one cracked thumb! GRACE (as you so sweetly said)! Thankfully my nails grow quickly, so when the damage is gone, I will resume dipping using your explanations as my guide! Love the coconut oil tip too! My question: Is there a gel builder out there that does not require a UV light? I do not have one & have no intention of getting one bc my 57 y/o hands don't need any add'l light! Thanks again for your amazingly simple vid! Your nails & mani are my dipping goals from now on!
Hey Ruthie! I am so sorry to hear about your nails 🥺💖 we have all been there! We aren’t learning unless we’re making mistakes so I completely understand! I’m not sure of any builder gels that don’t require a lamp. I do know they sell gloves that you can wear to protect your hands in a lamp though! You could also do clear dip powder if you’re wanting just a clear base to protect your nails 💖
I have been doing my own dip for several months now to save money and I could never get it to last more than a week without popping off. I watched your video before my latest application and I am currently on week three with no chips or lifting! Thank you!!!!

I did not have any success with dip until I came across your videos.. now I love it. When I was doing it I was doing three layers on one finger and moving to the next. 3 layers on that finger and so on. It never dried lol. Your method makes them come out perfect. Thank you
I’m so happy to hear you didn’t give up on it and now enjoy it! 🙌🏼 that’s the best feeling! 💕💕
This is why I love YT!! I thought I knew a lot about nails but never knew about a glass cuticle pusher!! Thank you!
not only was this video extremely informative but it was soooo satisfying and fun to watch. it gave me all the information i could ever need! thank you so much!
🥰🥰🥰 thank you so much for the kind feedback!
La technique, la couleur, et la beauté des ongles... Incroyable
🇨🇵❤
This was an absolute lifesaver!!! I have been dipping for two years and was consistently getting the “lifting” where my hair got caught in my nails. I tried your tips and my set lasted two weeks without any lifting! I only changed because I wanted a new color or I think they would have gone longer!! Thank you so much for doing this video!
Ahhhh this is incredible!! I’m so happy to hear this! 🥳🥳🥳
This video was a game changer! I started doing my own nails this summer and your videos, especially this one, has helped me not give up after experiencing lifting after 2-3 days. Thank you so much!
🙌🏼💕 thank you so much for sharing!! You’ve made my day! I’m so glad you didn’t give up!
I love how precise you are with this tutorial, thank you so much for stating how many layers, I was wondering about that. Your nails look great love
Thank you for your kind feedback! 🫶🏻🥰
I followed your advice and got me a glass cuticle pusher. I am so impressed with how well it cleans up my cuticles. Thank you ❤
Yay! So glad you’re loving it! 🩷
I can’t wait to hear what you think of the glass cuticle pusher!! 🙌🏼 and thank you for the love!! 💗 this color just screams summertime 🍉🥰

I'm a 30 year nail tech. I do mostly acrylic. I do a few dip Nails. I use Young Nails Conversion Base and Top Coat. These are great tips, that I really need!! Thanks!! I love your videos!!
Hi Jennifer!
This means so much coming from a professional! Thank you for the kind words and support! 💖💖💖
also a nail tech that found some of her tips helpful. I'm been dipping for years...back before it became popular. Good video.
Ola ! Qual base/cola para fazer o mergulho você usa ?
Yayyy!! Best news ever!! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the cuticle pusher!! 🙌🏼
@@SipAndDip Just looking for clarification on this portion are you only doing a layer of base coat with no dip so its essentially two layers of base before you dip?
@@amandamacneill118 yes exactly 🫶🏻 so the base layer dries, then another layer of base and dip 💖
@@SipAndDip Thank you so much!! I’ll try it!
💖💖💖 oh my gosh! Thank you so much for your kind words and support!
This video was so incredibly helpful. I have never done dip powder on myself, I rarely even paint my own nails. I followed all the tips and even bought these products and my first time came out looking really good! Even with my shakey hands, my nails look like I got them done at a salon. Thank you so much for making this video!
Yayyyy! I am so happy to hear this!! 🙌🏼💖 welcome to our dip community! 🥰
Best set I've done so far. So glad I found this video
Yayyy!! That’s amazing! 🥳🥳🥳 happy dipping! 💅🏼
Just ordered my first set and love watching these to prepare!
You’ve made my day! Thank you for taking a moment to share such a kind comment 🫶🏻
I love your videos I have learned a lot, thanks to the videos I no longer spend in beauty salons and what I spend is for materials for my own use. This technique to remove the material is excellent, it has saved me hours of having my nails wrapped with aluminum foil and acetone. Thank you ☺️
Thanks!
Thank you so much! 🫶🏻
I work in a nail salon 💅 and every time we put gel base and gel top clients comeback because it chip off, I’m definitely gonna try do it like in this video thank you for sharing ❤
So glad to have found this video, glass cuticle pusher is a game changer. 😍
This is amazing thank you sooo so much! Saving us big money out here 🫶🏽🙌🏽
I love this video!
What a marvelous tool. I had no idea my metal one was hurting my nailbed. I just ordered one
Thank you so much for making this wonderful video. Your tips and tricks have been a game changer. This is my third try and my fingernails look professionally done.
Yayyy!! So happy for you!! 🫶🏻
This is my first dip that looks pretty good! They were so THICK when I tried before & I had lifting almost immediately. Game changer!
AND … I just ordered all my GLASS tools (cutie pusha, files, etc.) for nail prep and maintenance 🥰. Thank You 🙏🏾
I love all the tips to protect the natural nail! Thank you for your advice!
What a fantastically done informative video! 💅🎯 Stunning nails. Not roughing up nails sounds wonderful to me. I'm going to follow this and start enjoying my hands again😊 ordering the glass cuticle remover too!... Thankyou 💕
Excellent video. Moisture education and the glass cuticle remover for me! Thank you!
I’m guilty of too much hand washing! Thank you for such an awesome video!
lmao same i was basically washing after each step 😂
This video came just in time!! I have terrible lifting and was beginning to think the product was junk! So glad I stumbled across this! I will definitely add these tiles next time I dip! Hopefully the lifting stops and they last longer!! Thank you so much! ❤️
The glass cuticle pusher is amazing. I don't feel like I'm digging into my nail bed. Thanks for the recommendation.
So much yes!! 🙌🏼💖
Getting the right products is only half the battle 💖 so happy to hear you’re getting better and better 🫶🏻
thank you for doing this video. ive been researching techniques and application videos to help me because i was struggling alot and didnt know what i was doing wrong. when i saw your video i jus new i had to try it. i also tried your nail soak method with the bowl and zip loc bag and coconut oil and it helped me out so much!! i just did my nails last night following your video step by step and omg they came out flawless! im feeling so confident because of this video. thank you!!
Yayyyy! I am so happy to hear that!! 💗💗💗
Omg i LOVE this! Very helpful tips. I shall share it in my dip powder group. I am going to do a gel polish for new year's eve but the next time I dip I'll be sure to re-watch this. Thank you
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏻
Thank you so much for this video!!! Just started using dip powders-I have very thin nails so have never been able to sustain pretty nails. Thanks so much for the tips! Fabulous video!!!
Welcome to our little dip community!! 💖 I hope your nails grow nice and healthy while looking fabulous of course 😉 🥰
Wow the glass cuticle tool is a game changer! I’m new to dip and was looking for some tips before taking the DIY leap I’m so happy I found your channel! My first try came out great and I can tell it’ll last for weeks thank you!!
Yayyy! So happy to hear this!! Happy dipping 🫶🏻
I can’t wait to try your tips & tricks I hate filing my natural nail. Thanks 🙏 😊
I got the glass cuticle pusher because of you. It is the BEST it works sooo good. Nothing has worked this good on my cuticles before not even a E-file 🙄. Thank you!!
Yayyy! So happy to hear this update and that you’re loving it! 🥳💖
Here is the step by step tutorial for that if you’re interested!
ruclips.net/video/shbTA_S-7bY/видео.html
I typically try to keep dip powder on my natural nails to protect them so they don’t break.
Thank you so much for this video. I've seen a couple things that i need to try out and see if it makes any difference in the longevity of my dip!
Thank you so much for watching! 💗 can’t wait to hear if it helps!!
Aimee you are such a bright light every time you comment!! You bring a smile to my face! Thank you SO much! 🥰
Going to try for the first time and this video came in handy. Thank you!
I'm very grateful for the glass cuticle pusher recommendation. Just got it and gave it a quick try 😮It's amazing!
It really is! It removes so much! 🙌🏼
You are an excellent teacher. I feel very confident to do this this weekend
That’s the best compliment! 💖 thank you so much! Good luck!! You got this! 🥰
Thank you, you have taught me so much. I can finally do my nails and it looks like I went to the salon.
Yayyyy!! That’s amazing!! 🙌🏼🩷 I’m so happy for you!
I ordered the glas cuticle toll and Glas file now:) I will try it ! Thank for the video it helpes me a lot ❤️
Thank you for this video! Can I ask where to get the tool you use to clean the dip from around the cuticle from? Thank you!
Great video! I keep having lifting chipping so I will try these tricks and see how it lasts!
What is the dip that you used for the photo for the video? I love the glitter and have been looking for something like it! Wonderful video! I can't wait to try these tips!
Hello,
Beautiful video tutorial.
Do you use Gel top coat as a sticky substance?
How long do your nails last pls?
Thanks again
SUCH A CUTE COLOR ❤❤
thank you for this!!
Thank you so much for this! Your natural nails are beautiful! I'm working towards that!
Thank you so much! 🥰 it definitely took me some time but I’m grateful for dip powder 💖
So nice how it is explained here, what kind of thin layer of base you have to smear on it. I did dipping nails too fat my first time. But now I know for next time 😊
Wonderful video. At what point can I add a design? Thanks
After you file/buff then dust off and cleanse with rubbing alcohol (skip the 2nd activator). Apply your design and then top coat 🫶🏻
Loveee this video ❤
💕 thank you so much!!
EXCELLENT VIODEO... THANK YOU FOR ALL THE TIPS AND TRICKS!
Thank you so much for the kind feedback 💕💕
How do you finish your mani if you aren’t using a gel topcoat? I’m going to try dip nails and your video was my favorite out of all that I’ve watched.
Thank you so much! 🥰 I use a dip powder liquid top coat normally! Sometimes I do use a gel top coat with dip liquids, all just depends what design/mani I am doing. You can absolutely use either a dip top coat or gel top coat! 🙌🏼💖
I'm in love with that colour 😍😍 just stunning!! Need it in my life 🙌🏼🌸😍 thank you for sharing and teaching us 🤗 Sending love from Norway 😚
Hiii Vicki! 💖 thank you so much for the kind words and support!
Now I know. Thank you!
Pleaseee let me know if it helps!! 🙌🏼💗 good luck girlfriend!
I just want to say thanks for these videos. You've taught me well about dipping
🥰🥰🥰 happy to have you here!!
HiThis was an awesome tutorial. What if a Matte Finish was desired? Once the hardener is applied could that be the finished step?
Absolutely! You can stop after the 2nd activator. You can also apply your 2 layers of dip powder top coat, buff it off, and then apply activator again. That will give you more strength if desired. There are also matte gel polishes and matte nail polishes too 🫶🏻
@@SipAndDip Awesome! I love your tutorials! So informative! 🤞🏼crossed my DIY is successful! Thank you.
So I usually only pull back the skin on my thumbs because it is the hardest nail for me to get all the way to the sidewalls 😆 most of my other nails have skin that’s not as raised on the sides so I don’t have as much trouble. So totally personal preference! ☺️
One of the best videos I've seen with great tips! Thank you
Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback 🥰
In the cuticle area, when you're applying top coat, do you put the top coat closer and completely over the dip at the cuticle or only on top of the dip?
Your ring is gorgeous! Thanks for the tips!
💗💗💗 thank you so much!!
I would definitely suggest building up an apex if you plan to use tips so you get the best longevity and wear time 🫶🏻
Here’s another video I created that goes into more depth on building an apex depending on the shape to best prevent cracking/chipping. Hope this helps and happy dipping!
ruclips.net/video/vhBz3q4riig/видео.html
I’ve used these tips and they’ve worked, but I’m going to do my first set with extensions tomorrow. Will the layer of base before dipping still help with lifting if I use tips??
Hi! thank you for your tips! ManiBoss base coat is sold out - any alternative recommendations? Thanks!
Hallo🤗 Kannst du mir sagen welche Farbe du da benutzt hast… Sie ist wunderschön😊
It’s called one in a Melon from Mani boss 💖
I will definitely be purchasing glass cuticle pushers. I've learned so much from your video. Also, your rings are absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏻
