    I am a first time dip powder user. I followed your tutorials for applying the dip and it was so easy. I dreaded the removal process but I followed your method here. I cut the corner off an old kitchen towel and used it instead of a cotton ball. It took 5 minutes each hand to remove the dip powder. 5 minutes! I’ve never had polish come off so fast and clean. My nails and cuticles look awesome, not dry at all. Thank you!

    The heat is the biggest part of fast dip nail color removal. Instead of water, I have been using rice in the bowl. Heat it for about 45 seconds. Same as SipandDip for the rest of the process, containing the acetone and cotton ball in the zip lock bag. I find one cotton ball is not enough. I use 5 cotton squares for more surface to remove the color. Great video. It confirms I've been doing it right to remove my nail color. I'm definitely adding the coconut oil!

    This really proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks. I’ve been doing nails for 30 years and I’ve never seen this method of soak off. Bravo my friend. I’m most shocked at that the zip lock bag didn’t melt from the acetone. I love love that I can still learn something new even with a non professional nail tech, girl you should seriously go to school and get your license because you’re a natural ! Kudos to you !

However I hated the way they destroyed my nails. I’m new to the dip powder game, and the instructions were for putting rice in a bowl of water in the microwave with the zip lock bag method. I didn’t like wasting rice so I had a think about it and have been using a wheat bag and it works amazing. You forgot to mention that if it’s taking longer to remove,the bag could possibly have a tiny hole in it. Follow up questions:
    1. You said use 100% acetone, but yours had additives in it. (Grapeseed oil and the other, was it vitamin E?) Does that mean it's not 100% acetone?
    2. If we don't want to wait the hour after removal to put on a new set, would it make more sense to not include the coconut oil in the acetone baggy? Just seems like a bit of a waste if I'd have to dehydrate my nails immediately before putting on a new dip application, after making sure to have the oil to prevent the acetone from dehydrating the nails.
    Thanks!

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  Год назад

      Great questions 🫶🏻
      1. It is still 100% pure acetone but also includes those additives to keep your skin/nails more hydrated
      2. You can absolutely omit the extra coconut oil! Totally personal preference! If you opt to use the oil still (for your skin) you can also double dehydrate your natural nails during prep to make sure there isn’t any residue. Again, totally up to you!
