Hi! Do you have any base of builder gel or rubber base underneath? Or is it just gel polish on your natural nail? That first one is a coarse bit and I would only use it if you have something else underneath your gel polish!

@@catous733 you’re welcome!! No I could never wait 24 hours without getting my hands wet. I wash my hands probably 20 minutes before I start my nail prep. And as soon as my nails are done and dry, I wash my hands.

​@@NicolesBeautyScene I meant to say 12hrs! Sorry! But yeah, really glad i dont have to wait! I was told with press-ons to not get your hands wet for 12hrs aprox, but that is hard to do! Thank you again!!

@@NurseMmJmake sure to do your nail prep first, apply dehydrator and then primer. Some people need gel base after that to get better adhesion of builder gel. I personally have to skip gel base and go right into builder gel. I’d do it with gel base first, fully cure the gel base. Then go in with your builder gel!

@@nadineburke8030 hi Nadine!! It’s much harder to use gel polish with stamping than using stamping polish. There are specific gel stamping polishes, but the hema free ones are expensive, so I just use stamping polish!

@@OliviaFan01AC thank you so much!! Dip nails can be done with a 3 step dip liquid system like I used in the video. The 2nd step (activator) hardens the dip, so no light is needed! I have peel base on over my builder gel and underneath the dip powder. I do my stamping on top of the dip powder. When I want to do a new mani, I pop off the dip powder, put on new peel base and do a new dip mani and stamp over it if I feel like it! If I don’t use peel base, I just use an e-file to remove product. and that includes stamping polish or regular polish. I always have builder gel or rubber base gel down as an overlay on my nails, so I don’t efile down to my natural nails unless I’m doing a fill!

Thank you!! Yes definitely use a respirator!! I’ll link the one i use plus I put pieces of cotton ball up my nose so I don’t smell a thing! You totally can do stamping and decals with gels- I find it just as easy with gel! So for decals, you’d do gel base and cure, apply the decal, get it all trimmed and shaped up to your nail, gel base and cure, gel top and cure and done! And stamping is similar too with gels- a lot of people like to do gel base and cure, wipe off the tacky layer and buff the nail smooth. Wipe off again with alcohol, do all the stamping, then once it dries- gel base and cure, gel top and cure!

@@veronicacoates8832 you absolutely can wear builder gel alone without topcoat! You still need to wipe off the tacky dispersion layer really well with isopropyl alcohol. And then I would still give them just a minimal buff with a buffing block just to make sure that there’s none of that tackiness left and then you can wash your hands and be good to go!!

@@veronicacoates8832 I activated after I finished dipping, buffed and shaped my nails smooth, wiped off with alcohol. Then you do your stamping. Top your stamping with smudge free topcoat, let that dry completely at least 5 to 10 minutes. Then I do my top coating, like normal with activator and topcoat. Hope that helps!!

Love this!!! Builder gel really is awesome and so user friendly!! I’ve been playing around more with gel x and going to do some polygel again soon too! I tried acrylic but it was so smelly I had a headache for 2 days! Have a great day too!!

@@rachelPH79 thank you!!! I actually don’t have steady hands either!! The nice thing about stamping is if you mess it up- you just wipe it off! OR if you don’t pick the image up how you want- roll the stamper over a lint roller and try again! It’s so much easier than trying to hand draw!
