So glad you asked! It comes from my favorite quote - “weirdness is simply a side effect of being awesome” - Bill Murray. It’s bc yall are so incredibly awesome 🩷
Hey beginner weirdos. So glad you found Marla Kris. I’ve been dipping my nails for almost 2 yrs. I do glue on tips and have to cut and shape those too. I’m still 6 hours from starting to remove previous to finished. And yes! I have done it over two days or all at once or gone to activator and shaping and left too coat for next day. By learning so much from Marla I know do dip liquids up until top coat. Then do gel base and top coat. Much shinier for me
I also have learned a lot from watching your videos. I have a pointy picker pen but I’ve always been afraid of using it. After watching this video I used it, took my time and cleaned up my edges and cuticles w it. Hands down one of the best manis I’ve done. Thank you!!
I love Sassy Mouth thanks to you!! You have taught me so much with these videos. All I need to work on now is my reverse stamping. I have the stuff just can’t get the nerve to try it. Thanks for everything that you do! Without you I’d still be going to the salon and getting a shit mani for 80 bucks plus a tip!!❤❤
Is this the same stuff that is applied at the salon, that is mixed together, applied to the nail and hardens into a plastic/acrylic nail? If so, what does the lamp do and how does not using the lamp affect the results?
I personally have learned a lot from you regardless of your not being a professional. I am now able to do my nails with dip powder with hardly any filing and they come out smooth and glossy every time. The only problem I have is with white dip powder. It always comes out blotchy. I have been using Modelones White with the Azure Liquids. This time I tried a Clear Powder under 2 coats of white and a clear on top and they came out pretty even but still not perfect but close. Have you tried the White Jelly powder from Azure? I love the Azure but I think they need to come out with a mini strainer for the powder.
Thank you for your kind words! 🩷White is a pain in the ass. I haven’t used the white jelly BUT I love the whipped cream bikini from sassy mouth. It’s my favorite white! It comes in a glow in the dark too - whipped cream glowkini 🤩
@@MarlaKris Thanks I will give that white a try. I like to keep my nails a shorter length and you always have the perfect manicure on your length. Thanks again for helping people like me who don’t have your talent.
@@dab4225Marla is absolutely correct. I could never find a good white until I tried the sassy mouth!! Thanks to Marla of course. They are both fantastic! I promise you won’t be sorry!❤
@@joannhobbs7444 Thanks I am going to try both. I am not sure why but I am still drawn to the whites, pinks and nudes but the white is my only issue so I cant wait to try these. Thanks so much .
I am so glad I found your channel!!! Watching you has really helped me with my own nails. I just started dipping my own nails and have been struggling big time! Could you please demonstrate how you do your non dominant hand? I know it’s the same processes but it would be nice to visually see since it’s harder to do.
I’m so glad my content has been helpful! Yay! And of course! Here’s a recent video on how I do my dominant hand 🩷 ruclips.net/video/_B8VrWj2kyg/видео.htmlsi=37uLOcrnmSZIYMKN
Marla, I did my dip powder nails last night, but my top coat clumped. I dont know what I did wrong? Did I forgot a step between after the bond, was I supposed to wipe off with alcohol and then do the top coat? Did I ruin my top coat brush or the whole bottle? Its a knew kiara sky... ugh, so frustrating. Help this weirdo. lol. Ok I figured out what I did...ugh...so I need to buy a bew bottle of top coat. how do I fix my nails now? How do I remove this top coat? I do not want to redo my entire nails!. Help.
I had all Revel. I still use all my rebel powders but have been results with Modelones liquids. I look forward to trying others too. Find what works. ❤
@@MarlaKris thank you. I bought the dip kit from Walmart for my first time trying out the dip nails before I bought something better but that gel was horrible and it turned out clumpy.
I've been watching and learning so much from you since March of 2020 (pandemic). I feel like I have most of the process down, but why do you pour-over instead of dip? I've found that it gives me too much bulk sometimes (even when I dip twice). I just watched a couple recent videos and you do pour-over for two coats and then dip for a third. Why?
I'm trying to understand why you would address people as weirdos!

we lover her. She is the reason I can do may own nails.
Proud Weirdo here! ❤
It's a loving and friendly expression. She is awesome and open to anyone, from all of the videos I've watched of hers.
Aren’t we all weird in our own way- to another we are weird- but in reality, we are awesome 🤩

Hey love! For me, I find that pour over is a thinner, more even application. But it’s totally personal preference!

Hi Marla, great video. Your videos are always so easy to follow.
What brand of oil did you use on your cuticles? 🩷
Hey love!! It’s from Soothing House. Found it on tiktok shop!
