2011 Ford Edge Inner tie rod removal and installation using Detroit Axle parts

- The basics of removing and installing inner tie rod ends. Other parts were also installed such as the outer tie rods, sway bar links and Lower Control Arms. All parts were from the Detroit Axle kit I purchased (DA is not a sponsor of this video. All parts were purchased using private funds) The boots as noted are garbage plain and simple. Detroit Axle made no effort in Quality Assurance to verify fitment of the boots. Either re-use the old OE boots or purchase new boots from Ford if you want them to fit correctly.

Kind of curious of you went back and notice any more fluid later. Had the same issue on my Ford with basically the same miles. I'm going to button them up and just assume not replace the steering rack yet.
Nothing leaking so far. Once it gets to the point of leaking in sufficient quantity I will then replace the steering gear. The job is difficult enough to wait and watch rather than prevention replacement.
May i ask Sir what is the actual torque spec for inner and outer
Outer is 85ft pds, not sure about inner.
Pretty tight is good enough
