    I just saw this video for the first time today! Glad my little hole filling solver worked out for you. I always wondered why i got so many vimeo likes on that old video, and now I know!

      Ha! I’m so glad this made its way back to you. I should have attempted to reach out back when I published it. The hole filling solver worked great, especially in conjunction with the surface mask. Sadly I’ve barely used the set up since I posted this. I need to dive in again and play more

      Thanks so much. Not planning on stopping but work has picked up a little so these videos may be further between. But there will definitely be more.

    Thank you. I was messing with the reseed and retime a little while back and it was doing some of that pump-like movement. I knew it was a bug but I just didn't know how to solve it at the time but now that you mention it was a bug it makes sense.

    Great video mate. Trying to learn Houdini so these videos are super helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make it.

      Thanks so much! Glad you're finding these useful. As you're learning I'd love to hear about areas where you may be finding it tough to navigate. I'd like to get some more intro style tuts out at some point in the future.
      I'm a fan of your modeling work. I heard about you from friends at ReMade here in Philly and have followed your work on twitter for a bit.

    Hello. I really like your videos!
    It would be great if there were a brief overview of small changes regarding the files used. For example, I integrated this into my scene, but my scene size is "n" times larger. So, I adjusted this "parameter" to a value of "n."

    Hi man this was a great vid. i was just wondering if you are able to teach us how to render this in mantra?

      I wish I could, but I've only used Redshift in Houdini. I have zero experience with Mantra.

    Hey, did you update your gumroad file with this alternate version?

    • @WhatIFound
      @WhatIFound  3 года назад +2

      Hey Darius, I'm not including the work from this tutorial in the Gumroad file. The bulk of the work that was done to get the hole filling was work done by other Houdini users who have shared the info online. I'm not comfortable including the work of others in a set up that I'm selling. I also decided not to make a file and release for free, as several people had already purchased the file showing how to set up the paint splash and velocity fields.
      I know this tutorial is long (there is a short version as well) but if you follow it, and look at the links I have posted, you'll have everything you need to use this method in your work.
