I know the feeling. My first con I was an absolute nervous wreck. I go too cons and still kind of am. Majira is a really cool guy and I know exactly how you feel completely. And too this day I shit myself when people notice me. Would love to meet up with you as well one day, but I will say my first con really changed a lot. I was is in an extremely dark time and the con really brought me up, I went through a ton of shit from a close person in my life getting arrested, to losing a job etc. Having consistent court days to testify aginst them and I know how it is. The con really brought me up and showed me I can make friends and keep them. I'll he honest this fandom is one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I know how you feel
So I remember meeting you!! It was awesome to get to meet you and honestly it was a pleasure! You seem really cool and I understand your social anxiety. Just keep working on it, as you continue youtube some of these things will change about you because you will slowly get used to it.

Just when I though this channel couldn't get any better. It's a really big step to admit feelings to the public eye, and I feel like you did it fantastically. I recently had almost my whole grade talked to about my sensory processing disorder (basically just getting overwhelmed, having anxiety, and crying) and it was _really fucking hard._ So I know how you feel, man. I wish nothing but love towards your way.

Sometimes, I feel really sad and I don’t know why. This goes on for about a week. Then I start watching furry youtubers, and oh boy do I get hyped. I don’t know what it is about furries, be it the love, colors, animals, freedom, or people in general, but they always make me feel right at home. And so I wanna say the same to you, Beta: welcome home. As weird as it sounds, know that this fandom is always your home away from home. You can count on us to make you smile, you can count on us to do most anything you can imagine. That’s because we work as a community - a family if you will - and support one another so that our home is always the best place it can be for everybody. So while it may be a mystery to me as to what component allows me to feel this overwhelming joy, all I know is that I am happy when I am merely in its prescene. Get better, and good luck on finals. Watching this vid and about to be attending my first con next week, FE; you have given me more courage to face my anxiety. Being a fellow lifejacket lover i really hope we meet some day. This hit me right in the feels, damn its so relateable. youve come so far and done so much. this is one of the most emotional things ive ever seen i cried three times throughout and i feel proud of you and i know im usually the person who spouts memes in the stream for momentary minor attention and recognition all the time but thats just because im too anxious to start any conversations on my own most of the things i send i hesitate for about a minute before i do, heck i mean my hands rn are shaking relentlessly (im sorry if this is a bit much this is the first comment i have ever written that is actually about me or my feelings this just hit so close to home)

One thing on my bucket list is to meet your irl you're such an amazing person and so down to earth with your fans, i'm glad you made this video and made it through that week. Your fans love and care for you and other people do too I hope this year and the years after go well for you!
Not gonna lie, when i saw those pictures on twitter, it was so fucking cute I took a screenshot of them.
Emotions are such a terrible, and wonderful thing. I'm really happy for you that you got the courage you needed and I really hope that you continue to feel like you belong just the same as you felt that day. Hugs from suiters saved my emotional state at my first con as well and feeling such unconditional love from people I didn't know was very revealing to me. I'll stop a long story there, but thank you for getting through all of this. My empathy goes out to you whenever things get crazy and hopeless.

Thank you for being so brave! Honestly this fandom does do a lot for people... its very open and loving. I’ve always been told by my mother that no one will care about me in the “real world” (above other things) and this fandoms done a lot to make me feel cared for, however young or small my presence is in the fandom.

I'm a 15 year old highschool student and I know I'm young
I joined the fandom around a year ago sort of as an outsider
My boyfriend was a furry (that's how I joined the fandom) but things didn't work out with him and I didn't have any irl furry friends or really any online furry friends either
I liked a lot of things about the fandom but actually asking people if they are furries is hard
I have pretty bad social anxiety and sometimes I would happen to catch a glance of an anthro doodled on somebody's paper at school which would get me really excited
But what if it's just a joke and I embarrass myself by asking if they are a furry? What if they are but they just don't like me or want to be my friend? What if they think I'm childish and laugh at me?
My parents and most of my family already think furries are lewd and weird because they saw the episode of CSI
Also my dad is kind of mean on accident and will make fun of me and think I'll just push it off
He tells me I'm childish and tries to keep me from doing things because apparently he was very childish until his 30s and he doesn't want me to get my heart broken or depressed. But he calls me a kid and threatens to never let me talk to my online friends again because of one bad incident. My boyfriend who introduced me to the fandom, he meant the world to me and in the end he broke up with me because "I'm too childish"
I always feel a little depressed in the back of my mind and sometimes I just can't handle it and I break out in tears thinking my friends only pretend to like me out of pity and that people only compliment my art for the same reason
I was always worried to talk to people about my interests in obscure video game characters, anime, J-pop, and especially the furry fandom because I was worried about their reaction but that experience just made it so much worse
I have a lot of faults I need to fix and it feels like I won't be able to do it. My GPA is crap, I still have credits I need to earn back, and I really want to be an artist when I'm older but I'm already going to be a junior next year. I have issues with my confidence, attention span (I have ADD), and emotions
I made friends who are furries and I am so glad I met them. They are all artists and one of them wants to be a fursuit maker which means I relate to them on an artistic level as well. I'm not doing the best with my other issues but I'm supposed to go to New York pretty soon and my dad thinks it will give me that push to want to try harder. I've lived in Florida my whole life and I want to travel, meet other furries, and do art. Maybe New York will inspire me to do better, heck maybe I will make some new furry friends up there.
But the point is I've felt so alone and seeing this video made me feel a bit better to know someone can relate.
I sure hope the intervening years have been kinder to you.
I'm pushing 40 myself, and find myself interested in childish things like video games and animation. I'm pretty introverted, and I have anxiety, but that seems to be the norm in the furry fandom---at least among content creators.
I know we don’t really talk much, and to an extent I’m nobody overly important. But I like to think of you as a friend, you’re funny, down to earth, and in a way an inspiration to me. You’re a really cool guy that I’d like to meet in person one day, maybe at my first furry convention. I just want you to know that you and what you do mean a lot to me.

Sometimes you just need to put a little bit of blind faith in people and hope for the best. I find if you can find a way to make their day a bit better, they will often reciprocate it next time. You're not a beggar when meeting people, you're also a seller. You have a whole life of experience and a unique perspective that nobody can take from you. The good people will see that and appreciate you for it. But you need to take the first step and talk to them. If you find that faith is misplaced, then they aren't your friends and it's time to move on.
Back in high school I was having a rough time. Every lunch I'd chill with this massive group of friends and mostly just stay quiet because I didn't feel valued. Eventually I said enough was enough and left. I spent the next 3 months eating alone in the library. A few people from the group noticed my absence and came to sit with me, and I'm still friends with them today. That choice signaled a change in my approach of how I view people and I've never let myself get as low as I once did because of it. I later found a new group of people I felt I could be myself around. Funnily enough it was a group of kids hanging out in the pre-engineering class.

Beta. I get that feeling. I'm glad you made it through. You're definitely one of my favorites but you are the most relatable RUclipsr I watch. I see a lot of myself in you and it makes me happy seeing you in good moods. That makes you important to me. It lets me believe there's a chance I can get better at being an outgoing person. You are a really great person. It's wonderful that the convention helped you if only for a brief moment. Lately, I've been finding cosmic coincidences of relations and it seemed inevitable that I would find this channel. It's cheered me up several times throughout my subscription. A lot of what you do really does remind me of myself. I hate seeing these beautiful lights in my life get sad. Keep strong buddy.
Also the life jackets now make a lot more sense now. Have you ever thought of the fact that a life jacket is kind of like a hug?

I had to stop halfway due to the fact that this is so fucking relatable to me I’ve had two father figures walk out on me my sisters been kidnapped by her father a couple of times I deal with feelings of not being accepted because of how I identify and I’m in a constant state of self loathing and hatred towards the world and I just want to feel love Delota you’ve shown me a part of myself I didn’t see before and I want you to know that you’ll always have my support I may be 14 I know what pain is and I always want to help those who’ve been through what I’ve been through

What I love about this video is that its not only about an experience but also more about you and what it means to be a furry and what others may be going through. Ive stumbled upon your stuff recently and not only do I get a laugh at it I find it so close to home. I live in New Hampshire and there arent many furs around me only those online. It truly does give me a depressed feeling but I love the fandom cause you are not ever truly lonely and cant wait to experience the con next year and possibly meet you and take a photo of a great guy and youtuber
you have been amazing to watch and have even gotten me through really really bad times whether that be fights with friends or in the hospitable alone. I may only have three friends but i never go to hang out with any of them since I've been in the hospitable so much but every time I have been in there i watch you get through some rough times witch motivates me to do the same and plus i even survived pneumonia because you motivated me to stay healthy and survive through the lonely hospitable nights. i know you aren't going to read this. But if you do it wont mean a lot since it is through a random person typing on a computer. But all i want to say is that you have the power to get through ANYTHING even if it's loneliness because at least you still have us. You are my idle.
My first convention, AnthroCon 2006 saw me in my room for the first day, I only left twice to eat and that was it. My turnaround came the second day when I was in lobby just sitting and watching and a few random furries sat down and talked with me, real nice and polite. I never saw them again, but it was nice to see such random acts of kindness from strangers. I spent the rest of my time at that conm just wandering around and talking to other furries.
I had fallen down the rabbit hole and decided to go to more conventions after that.

I can totally relate to this, 10 years ago I muddled through university and did not have many meaningful relationships, since going to my first con I have taken more risks and been more outgoing, most importantly being myself not some facade :)
I'm a little late to this party, but this was a great vid and I applaud your honesty. My first fur con was last year (DenFur) and I had TWO opportunities to meet Majira but I was a total shy mess and just couldn't go up to him. Later that day I almost literally ran into Telephone and just bucked it up and asked for a hug. She was so nice to me, this 42 year old guy crying over meeting the suiter that means the world to him. The interaction was so positive, it gave me the courage to ask other suiters for photos. Unfortunately I didn't see Majira again but it was a wonderful con for me.
I relate highly to your experience. I’m so incredibly grateful for you opening up like that. You don’t even know how hella brave that shit is man. As a dude, I’m always told not to show emotions or cry, and I’m afraid to show affections and stuff. I’ve struggled for so long with anxiety of how I’m seen..

Wow this was my first experience at otakon it was kinda emotional for me too so I completely get it
So, I wasn't planning on making any sort of general comment on this account until I finally got around redesigning it to be usable outside of just watching stray amount of videos in my downtime but, you honestly surprised me with this beta. I absolutely loved the 7 levels of furry (hell) dantes edition. I literally subbed purely for that and never unsubbed because of it. I barely watched most of your other videos, definitely makes me look good to you, but it was more than enough for me to enjoy you as a person and like what you produce. I occasionally popped in every live stream or something else just to see whats been happening but never expected this out of you.
i sincerely wish you the best of luck as you make the best of new friends among the wonderfully kind people at those conventions. As well as everything else in life.
(I personally suggest splinter fox as a partial, they are sooo cute, and imo underpriced for how much quality in the work you get. I think your sona is fine as it is but just needs a good suit maker to really show it's "Cuddle" side)
I can really relate to this, I was so nervous when I went to confurgence, its a lot harder to approach people in suit when you aren't wearing one, but my amazing friend skye gave me the chance to wear a fullsuit which made the whole experience so much better. Here's hoping the next time you go to a con, the whole thing is amazing and not just the end

I have really bad social anxiety to the point I can't even call and order pizza and it seems like no one listens or cares. Or it feels like on one cares. But when you find people that do it's such a good feeling.
I watch your videos whenever they come out and I love seeing you talk about things and it's honestly so refreshing to see this side of you, even if it is scary to show.. I know it must be hard. But we all love you so much, even more so for trusting us to see you like this.

Edit: after having watched the whole video, I have to say that you're a strong person. It takes a lot to admit your feelings, especially basically broadcasting it to all your fans. On another note, this video was inspiring to me in a way. I wish you the best of luck with your current issues. I don’t know you but I do care. I am strongly sympathetic towards anyone that has depression, or social anxiety or anything tied into that range.

Post-con depression happened to me after my first couple gaming cons. Meeting people with common interests is so good, and with my cosplay group, we've been trying to get some small meets together, and having friends, hugs, and sharing snacks is really good. It's been helping a lot of us, especially those in high school who don't have many friends. A lot of us in the cosplay and furry communities in my area have felt like outcasts, so coming together in settings that are a little less anxiety inducing means a lot!
I honestly relate to you. My childhood has been incredibly rough. Abuse from my father and never being able to speak up about anything caused me to essentially develop a fear of anything. I was always afraid I did something wrong or another thing was a mistake and I never felt like I deserved love because of the mistakes I made. Or... I thought I made. I understand you. I hope I get to visit you some day. You're my favorite furry RUclipsr. And you deserve happiness.
You just made your community a whole lot more accessible for me. I wish I can come along and be furry with you guys sometime, even though I'm European. You all seem so nice.
Also, don't worry about your social anxiety. When you start to meet more and more people that you actually want to meet and be friends with, it will go away. I would say the best treatment is good friends, and you seem like you have a bunch.

Honestly at everybody's first con. It can be a total train wreck for them emotionally. I know this from experience but then I met a couple of guys who were willing to go to the gaming room of the con and play Smash Bros with me. But you're honestly my favorite youtuber that I've ever known. So I'm pretty glad that you had an ability ton overcome your complete Tsunami of social anxiety. I decided to make this comment a while after you posted this mainly because I was caught up in School.
