‘Gangsta Goose’ Terrorizes Residents to Protect Babies

- Residents in Daybreak, Utah, are being terrorized by one goose they named Gangsta. He's been chasing down people in the neighborhood, causing some to dress differently and to put up signs with warnings about his behavior. Thankfully, residents soon discovered why Gangsta's feathers were so ruffled. He was protecting a nearby mother duck and her babies. Once the babies were hatched, Gangsta escorted them to a nearby pond, ending his reign of terror.
My grandfather raised a baby Canadian goose he found on the side of the highway beside his run over mom. He named him Charlie and Charlie knew his name and all! He returned to my grandparents cabin every year with his mate with his babies for years, his mate never did come around. She was very wary of humans, despite Charlie coming to my grandpa and being held and snuggled. My mom has a photo of him and Charlie on her fireplace, one of my fav family photos!
That's cool 🆒.
Yea and I would of killed it

@User and i would have gotten you arrested.
@User is this why ur lonely? Or is it the many other red flags you wave?
I was just about to post this. Here comes his next victim made me spit out my drink
Yeah, they were great team players. 🤣🥰💖

He wasn't a Gangsta, Just a Really good dad! Happy Everyone is Okay.
You in the wrong pond fool!
I think the name came before the discovered the nest.
@nemo pouncey 🤣🤣🤣 I only found out 2 years ago that Cujo was actually a human in a dog suit played by 2 separate people.
He still gangsta.
I love how Gangsta's wife isn't even an Canadian Goose. 😂🤣😂 It's a duck!!! It's freaking adorable... and natural!!!😂🤣💖🤌🏼💖🤌🏼💖🤌🏼
Just realized that, and I’m a bit confused, wtf?
He's the step-daddy to those ducklings. He probably lost his wife, Mrs. Gangsta, and she lost her hubby, Mr. Quacken. Apparently, the fact that she has seven kids didn't scare him off
@@ARedMagicMarker That's hilarious
It’s not adorable!
a*
On the bright side, Mr. Gangsta’s doing a good job at being a papa and protecting his nest!
Just… you know… maybe he’s too passionate about it…. 🤣

That's a good daddy Goose right there! 😂😂😂 so freaking adorable. I loved the homeowners laugh when he saw that one guy get "terrorized." 🤣
@User exactly
he can't be a daddy to ducklings though 🤣
The patience of these people is admirable, sure they could have probably hurt it to make it go away but no they chose to adapt instead
people doing the most basic normal decent thing shouldn't be "admirable" it is obligatory. at least in the usa it is i dunno about europe.
@@brianlacroix822 not sure why ur specifically targeting Europe, did an incident occur recently? That aside…not really a “normal decent thing” in the US. They just shoot their problems away. Ppl probably didn’t shoot and kill the thing due to the sign. Fearing it’s someone’s pet and didn’t want to face lawsuits.
@@Username-xk9lx we don’t just “shoot our problems away”. There’s plenty of problems here. You can’t shoot homelessness and poverty. It’s going nowhere.
@@beaulaplume sure you can. Kill the poor and homeless to solve homelessness and poverty /s. Joking aside, yes the US “shoots” those problems away as well. Ie New York, bullying those in poverty and trying to make a living by collecting trash. There’s instances of bullying gone too far and ppl dying from it.
Glad that they realized why the goose was doing this.

A Canadian Goose once tried to run at me and bite. All it took was for me to utter the most menacing snarling growl I could achieve, and that Goose, took off running...
Happy Father's Day, Gangsta! You guarded the nest well.
I remember during college a family of Canadian geese made their nest right beside my dorm entry. That was about a month of hell trying to enter and exit that building.
Nice story man ! Totally believable

Loved the story, and people’s tolerance of the gangster goose. I did not love trying to pass off the ducklings at the end as the goose’s offspring.
Yeah that was weird. Maybe it's an interspecies relationship and he's bonded with the female duck.
The story didn’t make it clear but the goose was protecting the duck eggs.
Goose sometimes protect ducks as a guardian
Not entirely sure why but its a well known phenomenon
Yeah i got 0 tolerance, after stepping out of my house and being attacked once i'd go to my kitchen and get a frying pan and smash the Goose to bits

We have to learn to share this Planet with another creatures!!! Humans have taken all space...now where they can live???? Minimum we have to respect them and share.
Inside Edition should cover the story of a widowed Canadian Goose living on the grounds of a Toronto, Ontario - Canada mall. His wife dead at the mall and the goose walks around looking for her. Geese mate for life. Torontonians were instructed to let the goose be until he comes to grips that his mate is gone and flies off.
Not this 😭😭😭
Sad
"Gangsta goose" is crazy 😭😭
Gangsta Goose is gangsta until he meets Mr. chinese peking restaurant owner.
I recall seeing geese when I jogged around my neighborhood. Two of them would come after me, and I jogged on the grass whenever I was in their sight. Last time, I noticed next to them were baby geese and one that was nearly grown. I doubt they'll leave but know they're just protecting their family.
Nobody asked

What a beautiful story- a beautiful couple helping people in the neighborhood, while another beautiful couple, just protecting their babies. The "gangsta" goose 🦆 is simply being a great "man" of the family:). He must have seen a thing or two. Bless you all🥰
Good old Canadian Goose. Up here we call them Cobra Chickens 🐔

So sweet to see this male animal protecting his family and everybody's respect for him doing so. Great job Gangsta Goose!

I'm a American and I don't mess with the goose.

I call them "sidewalk gangstas" and "long neck freaks". I've been attacked a few times by these dudes and witnessed people attacked at my local park. It's terrifying in the experience...hella funny after telling the story though. You can't do anything because you look like the bad guy who fought a gaggle of geese. But apparently they're little fighters with teeth that hiss. What am I Supposed to do when there's 12 of them and 1 of me!!???! 😒😒🤔🤔🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️😁😁

I remember getting chased by group of (water cobra chickens) geese as a child. They ran at me in a triangle formation, they were both terrifying, and unnervingly organized in their attack.
Just sent this to both of my friends whom live in this neighborhood. We walk past this goose every time we go for a walk around the lake.

They have one mate for life....so when one gets killed they never mate again !!! People need to think about that !!!!
Actually, they do often find a new mate after losing their first. Especially if they've never had offspring.
When you make your player home right next to an enemy spawn.
We had nesting blackbirds in our tree and let me tell you an umbrella was the only way my dogs could do their business without losing a tuft of fur. As soon as we stepped off the patio a dive-bombing brigade ensued that was nothing short of a Luftwaffe blitz. Two birds put three humans and four dogs in check in approx 30 seconds.
Omg the way she pin her neck and coming towards them 😂
Bless his heart. He is being a good goose, protecting his nest lol
Peace was never an Option.
Funny how a goose can make a grown ass man run the other way.😂
Right
Goose: I fear no man.
Also Goose: But that umbrella is on another level.
It’s a Canadian cobra chicken
The most fearsome of beasts from coast to coast
I love how the narrator said is rain of terror is over, everyone in that neighborhood will walk freely now😂😂.
Good for them to protect the nest. It is against the law to disturb a migratory bird nest, a fine up to $25,000 and a year in prison.
Every one would be Gangsta until the real goose gangsta shows up
Watch an OG pop a full clip on it just out of panic
what a nice couple
The people or the goose
I live in Canada and have had geese try to literally take my head off so I can relate lol
I don't think he needs a helmet and snow suit if the umbrella works without all that lol
I've been chased by a goose when I was kid. Trauma!
Wait that's a duck, not a goose.

Cute little babies.

Goose: Don’t FW me 💀
Hooman: I have an umbrella ☂
Goose: Understandable, Have a nice day
Mr. Gangsta is such a gentleman.
Can't blame it, it's protecting their own.
No one cares
It’s understandable I’m guessing he’s a male he’s jobs the next sure the female is well guarded and believe me I have my fair share at the park it’s like World War III the park rangers told me if I hit the ducks or the goose I’ll get a citation so I thought our time I was dodging navigate it once
Little tip if you're ever being chased by a goose don't be scared literally stomp at it open up your arms yell and run just as quick at it if you're wearing a long sleeves jacket or sweater cardigan even better cuz it looks like you have giant wings and that terrifies them so they run away and they stop messing with you only being attacked because you let it attack you
I guess this is what “ What’s good for the goose….” means 🦆
Some men needs to have a little bit of that goose DNA in them. To love and protect their family.
This needs more likes!
I am too African for this... that goose would be dead 😩🤷🏾♂️
That Goose is makin its territory clear.
I love the giant umbrella. Hell yeah!
