I don't blame her with a dog that size. Geese are fearless and pinch really hard.
I had geese when I was a kid. It was way better than having dogs. They defended the entrance much better, and they were amazing to me. I have very fond memories of it. I can't wait to have a house where I can have ducks, geese and chickens again. They are marvelous.

I have raised geese. They will chase off a stray cat or dog. A person that they don't know. They're very protective over the person that raises them. Best guard dogs you could ever want. They will honk and holler let you know something or somebody it's coming. Little grandma has four of them to protect her. And they will attack and when they bite. It is very painful and you'll have a bruise. Keep guarding grandma geese.

My university has 2 geese. 1 usually just stays at the bottom of the hill pond with the ducks but sometimes 1 of them goes up to the cafeteria area and I get to pet it when it's face isn't fixated on me. If I go down the hill pond to pet the same goose, it becomes aggressive, I guess it doesn't want me in their territory but it coming to the canteen area is fine lol. Well I pet the goose any chance I get when it comes up the hill

Years ago I had company from Pennsylvania and we were going out to the organic farm in homestead Florida my God the geese were chasing us they took movies of it because the geese were faster than I was and it was a biting on the buttocks

У меня теща живёт в деревне, у неё был гусь, мы с ним сдружились точно так же, он бросался на всех, кто ко мне подходил, на курей, на свиней даже бычёк отхватывал. Я на руки его брал без проблем.
Один раз жена подошла, то синяк был на пол бедра.
Теща отомстила за дочь, как только я уехал, отрубила ему голову, не смотря что я попросил не делать этого!
Но это реально друг, жалею что не спас его!
