But were not mere animals in the same sense a dog is, as we can achieve quite a bit more. But if were going to keep going forward we just need to learn to control what we can't currently. If that requires taking two steps back to jump I'm fine with that. But not to regress or be complacent to have no impact. 99% of species to live on earth are extinct with no help from humans. It's how life works, things change. I say we make sure we don't end up on the list, because we can. This is amazing. The team of folks who captured all these shots on video deserve some kind of award. From the close-ups on top of the rock to the leaps and falls. They got this whole shocking, horrifying, stunning, riveting, beautiful, hopeful story captured perfectly. It’s all beyond words. Watching those chicks take the the leap... like nothing I’ve ever seem before.

@@patcharaponwongsuwan5565 I didn't say I had any intention of doing anything like going into the wild to be a wildlife photographer. I'm simply commending the cameraman's self control amd making comparisons to myself since I personally would find great difficulty in doing so.
It's possible this nature footage was staged. Not saying probable, but possible. Back in the old days they did that (Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and other such shows, largely staged). For example the cameraman, who had cameras up high (maybe with drone) could have maybe also had a climber go up there and push the chicks off, to get dramatic footage. Also these birds are not the brightest, as they will build nests anywhere, not just up high but on the ground. But it worked out here, as one chick survived, better than nothing.
Don't panic. Afterall its Mother Nature. She knows very well to handle situations and give chance for all. This footage is one of the harsh realities of nature. It encouraged me.

Yeah. If horror movies took notes from National Geographic shows, we'd have good ones again. The intensity and the tension is beyond anything we get to see these days. Plus, the horror when we see the protagonists we've fallen in love with get brutally hurt or taken away does a lot as well.
I can see how one of the last 3 of the chicks halfway down got stuck in one of the rocks, I hope it didn't break its wing or something because that would have been bad. These birds are amazing in the way of how is it that they can survive these hundreds of feet free fall down like they have adapted and evolved some form of mechanism to survive this type of fall to get their next meal it's the same thing with biology and ecosystem of animals trying to survive but the ones that die get killed by predators as a food chain.
That crow was tactical!! Gets close enough to bait the mom, jukes left then goes right and boom he's got dinner. So sad to survive that fall just to be eaten alive. So brutal!! Yes that was a tactical mistake from mum, she should have stayed put. Crows will always best geese on nippy flying ability. Gulls are also a huge danger to chicks.

And also the ability to watch baby ducks free fall 400ft out of the air and do nothing about it. I'd be at my wits end trying not to chase the crow away
@@patcharaponwongsuwan5565 I didn't say I had any intention of doing anything like going into the wild to be a wildlife photographer. I'm simply commending the cameraman's self control amd making comparisons to myself since I personally would find great difficulty in doing so.
It's possible this nature footage was staged. Not saying probable, but possible. Back in the old days they did that (Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and other such shows, largely staged). For example the cameraman, who had cameras up high (maybe with drone) could have maybe also had a climber go up there and push the chicks off, to get dramatic footage. Also these birds are not the brightest, as they will build nests anywhere, not just up high but on the ground. But it worked out here, as one chick survived, better than nothing.
Don't panic. Afterall its Mother Nature. She knows very well to handle situations and give chance for all. This footage is one of the harsh realities of nature. It encouraged me.

If you want to argue climate change do so in a video dedicated to climate change. The only message of this video was to educate the curious and willing to how some animals live, the solutions the species have adapted and the risks taken with the solution.

Yeah. If horror movies took notes from National Geographic shows, we'd have good ones again. The intensity and the tension is beyond anything we get to see these days.
Plus, the horror when we see the protagonists we've fallen in love with get brutally hurt or taken away does a lot as well.

I can see how one of the last 3 of the chicks halfway down got stuck in one of the rocks, I hope it didn't break its wing or something because that would have been bad. These birds are amazing in the way of how is it that they can survive these hundreds of feet free fall down like they have adapted and evolved some form of mechanism to survive this type of fall to get their next meal it's the same thing with biology and ecosystem of animals trying to survive but the ones that die get killed by predators as a food chain.

That crow was tactical!! Gets close enough to bait the mom, jukes left then goes right and boom he's got dinner. So sad to survive that fall just to be eaten alive. So brutal!! Yes that was a tactical mistake from mum, she should have stayed put. Crows will always best geese on nippy flying ability. Gulls are also a huge danger to chicks.
