Well, if I’m not mistaken, that is the river and weir in Otley, West Yorkshire, UK, where I lived until 5 years ago when we moved 6 miles away! That is a very slippery river edge and that area that he walked on is usually thick mud so it must have been last summer (2022) He did exceptionally well as the weir is usually huge and he wouldn’t have got down there. The swans are quite forgiving and used to lots of people but he did a great job with the rescue. The babies are often quite silly and go into daft places but usually get out OK. Thank you for helping.

Qatsch.

Lucky man! So glad he was able to help the cygnets but Mute swans are nothing to mess with. They are beautiful and look calm and serene, but they are actually
aggressive and can be fiercely protective of their young. Adults will attack by biting and beating down a perceived threat with their wings. Their wings are very strong and have a sharp spur on the underside. They have seriously injured and even killed people.
