Oh they are wicked birds ! They make those noises constantly even when they eat. When they walk on land they're even more goofy but just as friggin loveable
They are native to Australia but have been exported to Europe. I saw one on the German-French border. It wasn't loud at all, though, it was just silently (and angrily) swimming there.
The "black swan" was used in an example of logical induction. Europeans had always assumed all swans were white ... they'd only ever seen white swans. "If it's not white, it's not a swan." Then, Australia.
The parent swans wanted the gosling up on the walkway because of the 3rd swan that was hanging around. Its an easy assumption the 3rd swan is a bully (very common with swans)and may have already killed several others. thus the parents protect their last by keeping it out of the pond when the bully come around. My neighborhood has a pond and we have black swans in it. So we go thru this very thing every year.
see someone who actually knows a bit about about waterfowl. not just "oh so cute" or "stop interferring with nature". Theres almost always a bully with swans and given that those parents have just the one cygnet means they have most likely lost a few to the single swan(s), underwater predators like some fish or turtles, or even to larger birds like herons, or even a very hungry seagull. I've seen a large seagull take a canada goose gosling right from the clutch when the parents were only like 10 ft away but had their backs turned, and he gulped it down like a friggin' minnow. And the mallards in my local pond lose many babies to the snapping turtles, seagulls and even a racoon one time. If the parents wanted out of the pond they woulda got out with their baby regardless of the people but its clear they felt stuck between a rock and hard place cuz they didn't want the baby by the people but at the same time they wanted to keep it clear of the other swan and possibly the fish. And for the person who said you shouldn't touch them with your hands, that don't apply to waterfowl like it does to some birds where they'll reject the baby if they smell humans. swans, ducks and geese don't have a powerful sense of smell so they don't do that and even some normal birds will only do it if it touched by humans immediately after hatching. One thing i will say is those things squeaking is insanely irritating. they sound like when you let air out of a balloon little by little, lol
One stubborn baby he/she is 😂 I mean, first I thought the baby swan wanted to dry off itself and the officer put him/her back into the waters thinking about its safety. Then after a while, when I realised it was throwing tantrum on not wanting to get into water. I couldn't help myself from laughing. The moment of 3:50 where the parent swan pulls on to its legs it was like 'Enough of this, now get into the water.' It was one sight really. The parents did have one real patience, the way they waited out for the baby. Plus, 4:14 the way the swan made the sound it was as if saying, 'thank you'

a human raise by Swans sounds like the beginning story of Swan Man.
What a beautiful story. I am equally impressed as with the swan family and their patience with the little one, as with people who are supportive and gentle.
The parents are like:
Mom: Jeffery sweetie please come join us in the water.

No surprise. They found the black swans in Australia. Now they move the black swans to everywhere on Earth.
Come to Canberra they are always in our lakes ... meanwhile it was an eye opener to see a white one !
Me neither. Their honking is adorable. 😊
First of all, I’ve never seen black swans before and these are beautiful! Second of all, that baby swan was DETERMINED to go exploring :). Too cute!!!
Fr
The "black swan" was used in an example of logical induction. Europeans had always assumed all swans were white ... they'd only ever seen white swans. "If it's not white, it's not a swan."
Then, Australia.
"baby goose"? WTF, it's a f*cking baby swan!
Its a baby swan

Mum and dad squeaking at the baby like "Don't EVER do that again!"
Baby swans are called cygnets
this sounds terrible. I hope the little one survived...
Yeah swans can be jerks. One bit my brother when he was little .

I need everyone to know that the people were saying "bye bye" to the swans when they started swimming away
We don't need to speak the same language to know what was going on with either the people or the swans, some things are universal.
@@Voltaic_Fire i did tho. It’s nice to know they were all saying that
"I wanna be where the people are!"
One stubborn baby he/she is 😂
I mean, first I thought the baby swan wanted to dry off itself and the officer put him/her back into the waters thinking about its safety.
Plus, 4:14 the way the swan made the sound it was as if saying, 'thank you'
The parents sensed that the people were trying to help the baby. Love animals so much!!!!!
The fact that these people just standing there just to watch this swan family is so freaking wholesome 😂

The people standing around watching the baby swam are speaking in Cantonese , wonder if this was captured in Hong Kong.

Firstly, HK doesn't have a massive lake like this. Secondly HK's Cantonese speaking 7 millions populations is only a fraction of 126 millions Cantonese speakers in Guangdong province, China. So, yeah, these people are in China.

The hoomans were trying to be nice and were saying that they were worried the duckling would fall to its death hence the help they provided. Didnt expect them to be so tame.
Usually swans are very territorial and they tend to be really agressive if you try to approach them. But the only thing they did was slightly nibble on someones arm. Its even more impressive that they didnt really do anything despite someone touching their young one. I didnt expect that at all.
The people who frequent this park must be really good at being chill with the swans.
