It was great to see a little bit of Scotland and the water looked as good as the casting! Our family left Forres in the 1880s and now lives down under in NZ. I've kept up the fishing tradition and fly-tying. Regards from a Kiwi fishing fanatic.
Why Skagit splashy Snap-T casting under such low water condition, especially from the left River bank over the right shoulder? A more stealthy approach would in my opinion maybe improve your catch rate. Tight-lines, Steve
Ey up Chris. Just been looking back at your catalogue of videos. I’d say it’s THE most comprehensive overview of beats out there. So helpful for us beginners. Great job. I always use your videos to decide where to book on fishpal. Brilliant. Keep em coming.
I have pulled a few good fish out of the Findhorn over the years, but there are far fewer fish about now, one factor (amongst others), is the increase in the number of seals in and around Findhorn Bay/Culbin Sands.
Im up in Scotland next week after my 1st salmon and trip.Feeling a bit daunted to be honest but your channel has given me confidence Chris to give it a go.The Spey and Thurso will be my challenge.Might even bump in to you if you are still about up there.Tight lines.
Great to have another day out with yourself. Tried every thing I could to try and get you a fish next time it will be a pleasure to net one for yourself. Great to see the beat from the drone footage.
Excellent quality videos-thank you-at the risk of sounding mercenary can you give an idea of likely cost ?A google maps location would also be good though I am fairly familiar with Scot land-Tom
Thanks Tom, just look for the town Forres and you'll be in the general area. The Association beat maps and directions on their websites are pretty good but i will admit it would be better with a google pin or What3Words. As for price i think it was £45 👍
Agree with CornishChris, I was here a few years ago and those chaps checked our permits. Very friendly and very pleasant. Fishing was slow and they offered to show us around findhorn bay to try for the sea trout. Good guys!
Bailiffs are a great couple of guys. Make sure you have your permit and you have nothing to worry about. They're friendly and willing to give advice if you wish it.
stupid and needless comment, the bailiffs are decent guys and will always help you, would you rather people just came on and fished for free? we've had eastern europeans spinning where they should'nt be and others fishing without permits.....do you think thats acceptable? your comment says a lot more about you than it does the bailiffs who are doing their jobs
Barry I just love your out takes. I just piss myself with them. Keep them coming.
Sounds messy Barry 🤔🤣👍

Hi John, wow it's amazing to think that someone from NZ is watching my films. Thanks for the sub and the support - Chris

Thanks for commenting, there seems to be a multitude of reasons why fish are fewer
