Nice vid keep them coming. A bit of advice. When fishing the fly around you are pulling it out too soon. There is every chance a fish has followed the fly around, so let it hang a few moments, then handline in gently for a yard or two in case it thinks the fly is trying to escape. After that you can pull in the running line quickly in preparation for the next cast. It is all part of the learning curve.
Brilliant video Chris, great to see you visiting Ayrshire. Despite growing up in the area I’ve never fished the Stinchar. My friend used to be the ghillie at Dalrecoh beat. Lovely couple of sea trout there well done 👍
Nice to see some fresh Sewin (Sea-trout) so late in the season. They SEEM to have done relatively well this season overall. I hope it continues. Thanks for video !
Excellent video Chris. Really enjoyed our day even if the weather was nasty. A couple of months earlier a day after rain on a falling river would be better. I did warn you about falling as well.😂 Well done on the wee finnock as well it was tough day. To top the day off my van got stuck in the soft field. Thanks to Chris my guest for hauling me out twice.😅
I fished there a few years back in late autumn and caught a load of wee finnock, the biggest arounf 3lb. A great days sport. There were a few salmon caught, but as always, I should have been there yesterday. I love those slow black water rivers. Theyre equally menacing and promising, and every cast could be The One.
Nice film Chris good to see Colin out there with you 😊
Thanks 👍 it was a wet but very fun day.
Well done Chris
Cheers 🍻
Well done!
Thanks 👍
