Stanford is also my dream school but I really don’t know if I have enough qualifications to apply or not. Your essays are written so well, in your opinion is it possible to write good essays without narrative? What would be format?
Thank you! Sorry, I honestly don't know! I chose to write through story because it would be more engaging for the reader and I enjoy writing through a more creative lens.

aw thank you Mariana!!!!!!!! :') I honestly contribute my writing style to just reading a lot of books when I was younger hahaha, particularly manga....lol...not really good for academic/formal writing haha. I have a kind of childish/quirky way of writing.

Oh, I almost forgot to ask you something: you mentioned you don't come from a wealthy background, and I feel ya, I'm in a similar position and I'm planning on applying for a master's degree. If it's not being too intrusive, do you mind telling me how did you manage to afford to study in Stanford?
@@marthedreamer7629 ya for sure! I had to take out loans and basically...I'm in debt lol. I'm not sure for grad students but for undergrad, Stanford provided me some financial support since my parents were making below a certain income. Regardless, I had to pay for student loans after college hahahaha
Does Stanford require you to put both your weighted and unweighted gpa or just weighted gpa? Or is it just unweighted gpa?
Shoot I don't really know. Sorry for the late reply!! There's a lot of decisions and things to consider by the admission office. A lot of people on online threads say unweighted GPA. I think what it really boils down to is what you can offer Stanford University as an individual. How are you in particular unique? For a school that always have an endless supply of students who always score high academically, you should have passions/interests that separate you from the rest.

Hi ya, I wrote these essays in order to apply for Stanford. It's been so long since I applied so I kinda forgot how the process goes but I believe the topics are given through the common app.

@@nelsonlam5004 different HAHA. No longer studying 24/7 in the library. Shout out to green library though, I still miss and love you. Am currently working in Cambodia so life has been diff work and culture wise haha.

@@sexyqueen4481 the format and scoring of the SAT has changed since I took it! When I took the SAT, it was out of 2400
