no no, she’s right. darker hair, and all types of hair, are extremely different and results will vary. people don’t realize it takes multiple sessions, lots of money, and a bunch of time in order to get desired results
That’s not completely accurate. You could use different peroxides and lighteners and colors to get an even result. Especially if the hair is virgin hair.
@@elleendeavor6429 sure, you can, but you can only lighten dark hair to an extent in one session, or you run a risk of severely damaging the hair and making it fall out, we don't know for sure what happened here, they might've had boxed dye or had a product in the hair that could've messed with the results, she also said she told the lady she needed to do something to her hair to get the desired result so im guessing it's one of the two.
@@nxna5932 I’m not disputing that. I’m saying that you can use a myriad of products and techniques to get an even or even enough result throughout the hair. If the clients hair is two different colors noticeable enough that it bothers them or they complain, it needs to be addressed.
This lady was awesome and you can tell she has dealt with some major Karens, especially i florida!!! I feel for her. This man is doing some serious community service for these people. So wholesome
I really like what this show does. Despite focusing in a humoristic take it shows there are true people related to the reviews, and that reviews don't depict the whole picture. Empathy is needed, and it doesn't need to be flattery.
I totally understand how she feels, some people think because it’s a small biz. they can walk in and bully the owner something they won’t try when they get poor services from big businesses.
I’ve seen it happen and it’s very heartbreaking, because the struggle a small business goes through is real. Also I’ve seen people even go to the BBB and report them.
She's not helping herself ....look at that place,it's disgusting. She needs to make an effort and start by cleaning that place. It wont cost much money,....rags and 2 bottles of a good cleaning product. There's no way that she has many repeat customers ,again...just starting with the nastiness. It's not right to take people's money and wash their hair in a sink that's dirtier than the person hair.
Reviews are king in this kind of business, I think a lot of small businesses let the person not pay and just don't allow those customers from coming again. I also agree with others in the comments who say she needs to put more into the look and feel of the setting. Customers may even be happier with their hair if it's a nicer setting, it may prime the customer into thinking they are getting a worse cut if the setting is ugly.
And people tend to only leave reviews when they had a horrible experience. If they just had a typical day at the salon they are not likely to take the time to leave a review. This can leave an establishment looking much worse than they really are. It was hard to watch him confront her. Super awkward. I don’t like watching awkward.🤨
I can sympathise with Sabrina, the semi-rant she had about the Karens she has served spoke to me. You can tell she's dealt with some horrible people and has had her reputation tarnished because of them. At moments I thought she was going to break down when Taj brought up the negative reviews because she probably thought "oh here we go again", poor woman 😓
I've seen a lot of videos of people taking advantage of small business, getting what they want but then acting like it's wrong so they don't have to pay. She seems sweet and did a good job. Wishing her the best!!!
My only issue is that the shop is filthy but the color actually looks pretty good!I wish you would’ve let her give you a cut, that would’ve tied it all together!

Mate that hairstyle actually really suits you. Sabrina I hope you read these reviews because you are a lovely human being. I can tell you are doing the best you can with your situation. I almost see some pain behind your eyes. Keep up the great work.
As a stylist I can say that we really appreciate when you love your hair to please give us a review. Negative people run to Yelp and try to take you down
Obviously this doesn't apply to everything and it's good that there are reviews, but I've noticed that most people if they have a problem with a service or a product are quick to write negative review in anger, where as most people who are happy with the exact same stuff usually don't bother to write a positive review. This can often make something more undesirable than it actually is.
I would say that most of those people have a genuine issue. We as customers want quality work because we work hard for our money. We don’t want the aggravation of having to pay for something that isn’t good. Would you want to pay for a service that sucked!
I love Taji…!!! And I’m glad he gives a voice to the people who most of the time seems defenseless against online trolls, whoever has worked serving people knows how unfair it can be.

I love the awkwardness. It's so human and just what I love about this guy in particular. It's not scripted, but it is planned which is unique and I think a lot of people can agree on this.
Some of us are allergic to hair dyes and bleach, so this could explain that one reciewer's call itching and burning. Sometimes salons sadly use cheaper products that don't account for all of our allergies, but we can get allergy tested to understand our allergies or ask about potential common allergens in the product. Bad experiences happen and maybe Sabrina did nothing wrong or she learned from her experiences here.
Sabrina!! If you are seeing this! You did a great job! You seem very professional and kind and as a person who is in the hair industry, I understand that there are many bullies like this. Really proud of you and hope you are well. Stay safe and take care
I knew someone who did exactly that in the only hair salon in our hometown, she'd always complain about how she wasn't satisfied so she wouldn't have to pay. Eventually, they refused to take her in anymore and she had to travel to the next closest city to get her hair done ! Some people have no basic decency, they think they're so smart for cheating when everyone else respects the rules.
I couldn't imagine the stress stylists get. Not that their work is a matter of life or death but their future depends on their customers being satisfied. 1 person with an agenda can ruin a small business owner, even being attacked from competition. Remember that
Got an aunt yhat does this eith restaurants every time. Will finish her plate. Stash rolls and breadsticks in her purse then complain EVEN WHEN SHE ISN'T PAYING. It seems like some people probably don’t know their own hair either. There’s limits to what certain hair types/textures and how they can hold style or color or damage, I imagine.
I'm a former hairdresser for 11 yrs and I have worked in okish salons and really nice salons and tbh some clients really are just nightmares. People think they can talk down to you and get away with all kinds of weird behavior because you are a service worker. Honestly it's usually older women with money. I had a lady throw a literal tantrum one time because I couldn't understand when she said she wanted her hair short but also long at the same time. I tried to show her all kinds of pictures etc and not only could nothing I show her satisfy her, but she couldn't show me an example either because the haircut she wanted "didn't exist" (her words). It was ridiculous. I am so glad to not be in that profession anymore.

Mexican people have so much love and compassion, it’s part of our culture!! The shop that they own always felt so homey and welcoming to me!! It seems like some people probably don’t know their own hair either. There’s limits to what certain hair types/textures and how they can hold style or color or damage, I imagine.
It's crazy that Ethan Klein has a separate entity and doesn't talk about it. Wild man
my thoughts exactly
.. uyyugyvy.
My goodness I cannot unsee him to Taji anymore
Wait what do you mean?
I think Ethan is a smoke show. I don’t see him in this guy at all.
Can a RUclips series win an Emmy? Cuz Taji deserves one 😫😫 this had a story arc villain turned hero...🤣
Ded ass
All he needs is a few more awkward guys with soul patches and he will have a boy band and they can call themselves “Room Temperature”
ROOM TEMPERATURE AHAHAHAHA
I was thinking more "the occasional recreational to fit in in social situation smokers"
Woah, someone gotta give an award out to the editor for that live laugh love star transition. That was fire
She did a good job, gave him what he asked for BUT cleanliness and proper sanitation is key her salon can use a lesson.
Floridians would one star review any business where the staff wear masks.
As a born and bred Floridian I can confirm that this is factually correct
lollll
She’s not even wearing it over her nose which defeats the purpose
The mask is upside down. Look at the writing on it.
Is this the best comment thread right now
I'm a former hairdresser for 11 yrs and I have worked in okish salons and really nice salons and tbh some clients really are just nightmares.
This man literally could do anything for this channel.
Teji"s smile at the end!! LMFAO! I really want to know if its naturally THAT akward or if he is an amazing actor and actually practices and does it on purpose somehow.
Sabrina is awesome!! I’ve known her and her parents since I was a kid!! My grandparents were really close with her mom and dad!! My grandmother would go over to their shop every Friday like clock work to get her hair done by, Mary which is Sabrina’s mom!! I always felt so much love when I was around Sabrina and her mom and dad!! They are of Mexican heritage and I love that about them since I am both Mexican and White!! Mexican people have so much love and compassion, it’s part of our culture!! The shop that they own always felt so homey and welcoming to me!! And Sabrina and her mom and dad are like family to me, and they will always be family to me, no matter what!! Also, Sabrina is the best damn hair stylist I know!! She always would make me look so fly, and nobody has ever been able to do my hair the way she does!! I love, Sabrina!! She is NUMERO UNO 🥇!! ❤️🤘⚡️
Taji's back must hurt from carrying vice
Holy sh true
Totally an original comment
My eyes hurt from seeing this comment everywhere
💯💯💯
Lol
The “star transitions” are so funny - reminds me of “Miami Vi…” oooohhh I see what you did there! Nice!
Taj is just such a genuinely nice human. Love this dude
I pray this man's safe... Also vasectomy from 1 star surgeon next please.....
No! We need him around for more reviews! (Save that one for the series finally)
She absolutely nailed it. It's like you were born to have frosted tips! I love this series; keep up the good work!
She's lovely, and I would love to have her as a hair stylist.
This series makes me happy. Thank you, Vice, for continuing to invest in this man. He's friggin fantastic! 😍
Check out Philip solo tv then lol you’d like it
He already reminds me of Ethan from H3… now all I can think about is “Ethan Joins a 90s Boyband” 😭
Good Times, one of the most fun content on RUclips ever uploaded.
I miss that H3H3 now they are lazy with that podcast
@@Thewhiteknigth7 Dude has a family now... cant really blame him.
Ethan has always been dramatic and has a whiney personality, he's the male version of Trisha honestly.
She did a great job! The salon could be cleaner but you can tell shes trying. I wish her the best
When he smiles, he looks like he’s 15 supporting the first facial hair proud.
This hairstyle goes together with his 90s shirt so well!
The editing on this series sold me. It's time to binge-watch the whole thing. Love this guy's personality and the editing is incredibly well done. Very tongue-in-cheek.
EDIT: his hair looks awesome, Sabrina did a great job! I remember getting my tips frosted back in the 90s haha, always hated how they had to pull your hair through those tiny holes with that hook. Didn't feel too good.
Editing is courtesy of the TV shows: “Nathan for you” and “Tim and Eric Awesome Show”
@@chickenwing986 do you mean the style or the actual editing team?
Geddy V the style.
"I promise ill pay. I got the company card in my pocket" 😂
Videos like this help keep the small businesses running big shout out to vice for this one!!!
I'm African American with a bald head but she can do my beard any day !

She honestly seems like a real person. Regardless of stats. Realness carries through.
Sabrina seriously killed it - his frosted tips look amazing 🤩😍
that hair dye really did improve his overall style. impressive work, love the series keep it up
Once again, I just love he voices reading the reviews. They get me every time 😂
That hair is actually well done!
I feel like he really boosted his confidence in this episode
It’s time to set a reminder! A new episode of One Star Reviews is airing on October 22nd.
BASED
NO WAY! PSYCHED
The man, the legend is back!
I love that he adds his own review online afterwards ❤
She actually seems like a really nice lady, hope she gets much more business after this video. Hair is very subjective so I see her prospective.
VICE I LOVE HIM. HIS PERSONALITY UNMATCHED
the editing amazing too. good job. awesome vid
5 year old me would’ve been crushing on this guy with his frosted tips and flame shirt 😂 the 90s were cool times
Frosted tips were early 2000's
I love the 5 star ones
They‘re always so wholesome
She did an awesome job, and gave him exactly what he asked for. Good on ya, Sabrina 😀
His awkward smile ALWAYS cracks me up 😭
Man, I got some feels when she said he made her feel really good today. I feel like they could be good friends
She's in the right. Her reviewers sound like total 'Karens'. If I was reviewing her, I'd also give a solid 5 stars.
I absolutely love that smile emanating awkwardness and a scream for help at the same time
Taji is a riot. The way he talks really makes this work. No one does a 1 star vid better or ever will. These are gold. All worth 5 stars.
Protect our man at ALL COST! He's about the only reason Vice is still relevant and going today in 2021, let's be real. Outstanding work as ALWAYS Taji!
this show does a great service to small business owners, that lady is so sweet!
This is one of the most endearing things I've watched in a while - I'm def about to binge this series. I'm super digging the vibe.
