  • PLUMBERS WE NEED YOUR HELP! And help yourselves out! Imagine a plumbing world where more thought and planning was put into a job so future maintenance on plumbing systems was easier and less time consuming. This week we had a few small maintenance jobs which was made harder by the last plumber. Granted it wasn't the worst plumbing in the world and i got the job done but it did make me think over the years how many jobs I've been to that could of gone quicker or be more simple if a little thought had gone into the plumbing when it was first installed by the first plumber.
    Now i know i am just dreaming of a perfect plumbing world but with my install or plumbing work i always try and think that i will be doing the maintenance for the job in the future so what can i do now to make my life easier, i think if more plumbers did this, plumbing would be a much easier job.....sometimes!

    Oi oi Luke, its been a while since I had the chance to stop, relax and watch your video's so I've got some catching up to do, I can hear my Mrs. "now you've been in all day and not moved" 😆🙄 . Wow you managed to smash the 5K subscribers congrats🥳 and I'm not surprised like I've said before your videos are quality and keep it real so I can see you gaining many more. Silicone on basin's are a right pain cant agree more. Camera work is sound you can only work with what you've got. Keep them coming bud.

    I like the mccalpine basin wastes and never any trouble with them other than cleaning the old silicone that the last plumber thought they would need 🙈🙈

    That basin waste is an unpleasant job. I normally take the basin out. I use an old fine tooth saw with a couple of squirts of wd40 to cut the silicone away behind the basin.

    You did well there Luke.❤ made it look easy. The Dudley basin mate is one of the best things you can use. Difficult to get on but once it’s on it’s never leaking.

    enjoying the videos mate. soon reach 10k. When im changing a waste like that i just undo the screws a but and move the ped over and rest the basin on it. Just need to be careful of chipping.

    Well done brother, I know the pain when you don’t want to pull the pedestal out or is stuck of existing design below the tiles or solid , anyway one thing you forgotten, every single time you change any tap you suppose to take out the tap aerator , any debris supposed to flush out of the tap and you get equal and steady flow trough it once is done .

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  3 месяца назад

      Well spotted mate I didn’t take it out, don’t like waste when there’s a pedastal always a pain 😅

    I do rate the basin mates and the mcalpine centre pin wastes. Looed like that basin was siliconed on 😬 Ped sinks in tiny bathrooms are always a trial folding yourself into a pretzel to get into it. 😂

    Great video as usual 😊 a little tip I use for the basin washer in a 57mm socket off a land rover hub socket off ebay fits like a glove and is easy to grip and tighten by hand ✋ £10 but it's really handy in tight places 😊
