Hopefully there is wood behind those tiles where u put that hand bar at. They really need blocking put in the walls before hand or there not going to take the load like there supposed too. Plumber did one for my parents shower told him to go back to the studs before he built the shower guess who told me he knows what he is doing. Before my parents paid him i pulled on the bar just like a person falling would guess what ripped out the wall with the toggle bolts he used guess who had to redo the shower before he got paid.

Love your bathroom videos mate I have learned lot's of tips fitting bathrooms for family and friends. Could you please answer me one question? I fitted a 1,2 x 700 shower tray in my own house, sat it on 18mm mdf and set it with CT1,it's been fine for a year but now the shower tray seems to rocking slightly when you are in the shower 😮 how can this be possible when it's laid on a flat board? Ignore the haters and keep producing the content 👌 Leeds,Leeds, Leeds 😅

Cheers pal, that’s a strange one is that, I’ve not come across that to be honest especially with ct1. Could be the fact you used mdf you’d of been better with plywood or cement boards

level 3 apprentice here. We put the shower pipe through the hole to stop it dropping into the water in the tray so it cant go back into the mains if it ever shuts off. Or so it cant drop and damage the tray. I think anyways, great video mate.

I give you the tip tho , use John Speed push fits , they’re way better than compression elbows, how many times , I have replaced the electric showers they always weeping full of water stains inside the covers and once you put new elbow or using the existing one in it or compression elbow the tread inside the nut due to long small leaks are corroded and weak they get cross threaded , I have never seen anything happen on push fit elbow.. and it’s much easier to replace new push fit elbow if you need it , and in another scenario what happens if someone installed push fit fitting behind that panel or compression elbow, you basically screwed, because once you use olive puller you will pull out all push fit of the pipe work or compression fitting behind that panel and you have all that water pissing out behind that panel , just take my advice rather use something practical than useless compression brass elbows, and it could squash the filter outlet while you tightening on shower plastic inlet , it’s definitely unfit for purpose…
