Love you do these videos, about 4 years ago, with your help, I changed the kitchen tap.. since done the whole house and back to the kitchen,, and your not losing out on work,, I live in a different country :)
Hi James. Sorry to ask, but at a dead end, honestly, i've searched high and low on YT for the answer. I need to widen the hole in the brick wall, from 100mm to 150mm, damn new AEG cooker hood didn't mention it was a 150mm duct on the listing and i don't have a 150mm core drill bit, or a drill 😂. Any chance there's another way of achieving it, or do i need to spend out for the right tools? Or if you have time, a video showing different options would be fantastic, especially as there is literally nothing on YT on how to widen a hole through a brick wall.
Hello James, my concern is that what size pipe we use for bath tub drainage and sink. Is it 1 and half inch for each of them and 3 inch for toilet drainage.
Hey James your course is already available, I done my level 2 plumbing course in Bristol in a private centre, every video exam has you as the teacher from your earlier videos. I was like is this legal? I'm a fully qualified gas engineer and been learning from you for ages thanks for being you
Great video!! Quick question - would you consider putting a little plumber’s mate under the tap between its base and the sink?? Just to hold it in place/seal it from the top?? We have kids and water goes everywhere. Hold tight!!!!
Hello James, I’m interested in signing up to your course but got a few questions. Once purchased , how do I get the videos? Is it through a link or are they downloadable to your computer? And how long do I have access to the content? This is because I’m a slow learner and I want to know how much time do I have to complete the course. Thanks a lot.
Totally agree with the "sometimes things aren't easy sometimes you have to work for what you want", most of the youth just want to be influencers these days...
Very timely video, I'm about to try and put in a new Grohe kitchen tap this weekend. Realising after watching that I don't own a tap spanner (set or otherwise) - do you reckon there's any chance I'll be able to get away without one? I did however buy PTFE liquid and tape, but notice you don't mention anything about sealant - is that because you think they're unnecessary in this case? Cheers for all your videos
You need the box/tap spanners to have enough reach, especially behind a sink, which is deeper than a basin so harder to get at. Best advice I can give is go to a good local plumbers merchant. I got an inexpensive set from mine. PTFE tape over the olive or sealant on the pipe/olive won't go amis.
Gidday mate from the land down under. As a plumber myself, I enjoy watching plumbers around the world and I'm impressed with you pommy plumbers as your plumbing is similar to ours with a few exceptions. I'm curious as to what your plumbing codes allow DIYers to do? Here in Australia, we have regulated and non regulated plumbing. DIYers are only allowed to perform non regulated plumbing works. All regulated plumbing works must be performed by a certified fully insured plumber. I don't know what your insurances companies in the UK are like but here, they'll use every trick in the book to avoid paying out for damage to a dwelling. Nonetheless, keep up the good work....cheers.
cross flow taps, to contaminate the mains, internal over flows that waste money and water, all how standards have gone, ooohh I just wanted a rant, sorry James, love your you tube
It was such a pleasure, when I got to the job, and his wife said "he had a go at it himself", and there was Sella tape wrap round a plumbing joint, or when they bend a pipe with a spring, and it cringles, lovely, cross thread the the plastic on anything, its great, be afraid, be very afraid, mmmwwwwhhaaa
Hi superstar keep it up you are doing a great job and having fun making some brilliant videos superstar Ali Walsall west midlands england junction 10 m6 Walsall churckery
Im sure i watched one of our vids where yu said one of the 10 mistakes people make is not using jointing compound when using compression joints so you made a mistake
Just ask them which human rights they think are unreasonable. One of the stranger ways to wear your insecurities with pride. A good example is that the author still has his video up recommending the Caliphate podcast which was found to be a transparent scam. Blinded by confirmation bias, inadequate intellect for the task, illusion of validation, all the classics really
Love the videos . But you lost me at 7 minutes in. I don’t know what that extra little pipe was. Can someone explain please. I think you got side tracked talking politics.
He was installing the 3/8 -> 15mm adaptors to allow the flexi connection to screw on. The pipe was required to connect the iso valves to the adapters I think.

the short pipes attached are standard fittings in the USA
Just curious james about those flexible hoses ?? Don’t you think those flexible hoses can encourage legionella proliferation ??
Totally agree with the "sometimes things aren't easy sometimes you have to work for what you want", most of the youth just want to be influencers these days...
Could you show how to do it if there are no flexi hoses and just straight copper pipes?
If your old tap has copper pipes coming out of it cut them off with a pipe slicer and fit the isolators.

Great video and thank you for showing my saggy waste bend 1st!!! Was surprised to find it let alone you show it :)
thanks
Cracking video. Thanks guys. Every days a skool day 👍
Thanks!
you make it look so easy, there must have been a great plumber there before leaving an easy exchange for you James
Can you do a radiator change video please 😅
The Wash basin with the bucket was the one I taken :D. That was in a 5 restaurant believe it or not.
cross flow taps, to contaminate the mains, internal over flows that waste money and water, all how standards have gone, ooohh I just wanted a rant, sorry James, love your you tube
It's not that long since flapping flush-valves were illegal.
Will installing check valves solve it ?
yer and when you go to wash ya face, you smash your head straight into the tap, nice, go for traditional pair, and stay safe people
i miss your raps/songs. your rap about Fluxuator, made me run out and get one
Would love to see a video of you moving a toilet to a different location in a bathroom.
why 9:18 is a problem?
I love plumbing
I like my handgrohe cold start mixing tap
oh man, those plumbing disasters were few, BUT THEY PACK A PUNCH!
Mate you should travel around the world and see how heating and plumbing works. Something new and different!

That's a basin surely?
Brilliant course.. But sod it, I will just call a plumber 😂😂
That's a Basin mate
Can you please do reviews of American plumbing videos!!!! It’s a horror movie 😂
"plumberparts' old tap, 3 quid"
that's so sad :(

Not sure your stash of loo rolls is sufficient. The basin installation above the consumer unit made me gasp....
Im sure i watched one of our vids where yu said one of the 10 mistakes people make is not using jointing compound when using compression joints so you made a mistake
😂
I want the tap😅
Why wife's obsessed with TAPS!!!
Happy wife happy life 👍
That's a basin.
Good luck yo Emily with the birth.
Mad how most trades people are incredibly right wing and love giving away human rights.

Which little pipe?
@@plumberparts the little bit you added on .
7:50 Downsizing from 15mm (valves) to 11mm (soft hoses to the tap)
He was installing the 3/8 -> 15mm adaptors to allow the flexi connection to screw on. The pipe was required to connect the iso valves to the adapters I think.
@@jim_jim1674 was it just a compression fit to the copper little pipe then? I didn’t see what it was as James was using 2 spanners on it.
I wonder if you gain any subscribers by straying into politics; you've just lost one.
That's a basin, not a sink. Schoolboy error.
