Following up from the last work done on this car, video here • Peugeot 3008 Airbag li... , on this video we will be replacing the faulty component... the fuel additive tank, refill it and reset the ecu...
We will be also changing the overall quantity of fluid programmed on the unit, from 1 litre to 2 litres...

Great Job as always in both videos,but as a PSA Tech. you should of followed the instructions of the diagnostic tool,and went to the engine ECU to do learning of filling the additive,and then went back to the additive ECU and do what you did.
Was no option to do it on the engine ecu...
Because the engine ecu did not controlled the additive... as it was a separate additive control module... as I have explained in the video...
I believe it is a bit of a messed up instructions on the software part...
The instructions seemed generic for both options...

Hy! you, as a PSA Tech, will use the OEM software and that will guide you through the whole process ,depending on the car, but on ,not OEM software, the situation is different, as they can ask for things that ,as Luis said, are not required.

I recently replaced such a tank and did not do the procedure for filling the lines. After a few refuelings, an additive leak error popped up. After doing the procedure of filling the lines (10 min), the fault did not return.

I do have Citroen C4 cactus with urea error still on I am told it's the pump. Do I need to change the whole tank or the pump can be fixed? Thanks for your vidoes

But you might be able to change only the pump...

It only works to pump additive into the fuel when you put fuel in...

Since December 2022 Euroconsumers is elaborating an action against PSA group related to the systematic malfunction, and costly repair, of the Adblue system. But that seems to be the Eolys system. Is it the same thing? Does Mazda 3 have the same system as that Peugeot? Luís, you have showed us previously a Mazda 3 1.6D with a similar problem, right?

PSA is nothing yet... There are more faulty SCR systems in Renault.
Can you tell me the pinout of the 3 cables in electric socket? I have same tank citroen C4 grand 2012.
Power, ground and lin bus...

How to check the pump itself? I measured resistance -20ohm.
After connecting 12v to pump directly it does not start just click
That is what it does...
The pump is not a motor, is a solenoid, every time it clicks, is a cycle, every cycle it pumps a bit of fluid...

Another great fix, how does the tank tell car when level is low ?? Is it calculated or is there a sensor in tank? Just asking as unsure on system
Pretty sure its calculated, as it's a closed canister. They probably count the pump actuations.

Where is the dedicated ECU for the pump located on the car? I have a 407 that has a new bag but still gives P1446 during power up , precession and OIL ok. Can't get the FAP warning to extinguish.

@@LMAutoRepairs My mechanic says the ECU( engine) won't let him return counters to zero. Warning still appears only on initiation and is off when driving. The old bag was exhausted when changed. He thinks pump may be damaged from running dry. Pump is not operating. Where's the dedicated ECU for the pump?
Depends on the setup...
Some cars the system is controlled by the engine ecu itself...
Needs to check, and reset the bag, otherwise the warning will remain...

@@LMAutoRepairs Can you trigger a regeneration just by directly manually putting additive in your diesel or does the ECU also need to adjust injection post exhaust valve opening? The reason I ask is I may have to wait for delivery of a new additive pump, and I don't want the DPF to block whilst I wait.

Check for leaks, check that the pump is not "over pumping" is that makes sense...

The reset should not activate the pump... at least not for that long...

Yes... but when you just refill, you shouldn't run that option... unless you have let the tank to ran dry...
The option should be just to reset the level or quantity...

I have errors p1434 and p1435. I teplaced the tank and pump but errors persist. What can be the other reason?
The p1434, I believe it clears on its own when the system is fully operational and you drive the car for a bit with enough fuel...
The P1435, check wiring, connections and signals etc...
