Hi, I need your advice on my Citroen DS4. The car has 2 major issues; 1st this same error "SERVICE" light and "Engine fault: Please repair is on 2. The Auto gear has stopped working. I am using the manual at the moment. I did a scan and was told since the manual still works, then the gearbox is fine but the Auto gear selector needs to be replaced. I was also told the fuel additive pump needs to be replaced. I got the part number for the gear selector and was able to get a replacement part on eBay but I can't get the part number for the additive pump to know which to buy online as the price the garage is charging is about £750 for the two.
Wow thank you! 8m having same problem with a 66 plate berlingo. Tried through engine and it doesn't work like you said. I'll have another shot. Theres power going to pump. I'll try thanks for the video!

I went to a car mechanic he had obd like yours with big screen and it gave P1434 and P1435 errors now what should i need to do? remove again the adblue tank or just reprograming it ???
Yeah it will need configuring correctly .. you can’t do it with a basic scanner , you’ll need a more advanced machine , it will need doing the the additive ecu not the engine ecu

I have a Peugeot 3008 2.0 Hybrid which came up with 2 fault codes : p1435 additive pump fault and p1498 motor valve closed. Looking at £1000 maybe more depending on the elosy fluid. The red "STOP" light comes on with engine fault light. Can only drive hybrid with reduced power. But if i turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on, the red "STOP" disappears and only the engine fault light is present, everything works near normal with regular driving. Only some under performance. Garage said turning on n off is resetting the engine computer. But it will fail MOT cos the vehicle may have ommission issues. Any advice would be appreciated. Already coughed up £149 for DPS clean. They said exhaust is clear no issue.
Hi , it’s very hard to say without looking myself but I’d say there’s a good chance your additive pump is fault (comes part of the additive tank) but it’s definetly worth checking the wiring to the pump first.. I’ve had several pump faults that have been due to corroded wires on the section of look about 6” down from the tank connector
@@diydaly thanks for replying. If the wire is corroded, does that still mean the unit has to be replaced or can it be resolved with a different cost effective method?
Yeah if it’s the wiring , a simple repair can be carried out to the wiring loom.. if worth checking first but I’m afraid the pumps are a very common issue so there’s a good chance it’s at fault
@@diydaly Would you advise buying the part and exchanging the additive tank yourself if you have the correct tools (Rench, socket, screwdriver, etc) following a step by step video and also being competent with tools? Or just let the professionals handle it at a price?
If it is the tank at fault and you haven’t got a decent diagnostic machine , your Gona have to take it to a competent garage as the tanks need configuring via a diagnostic machine once fitted.. the actually fitting of the tank isn’t too bad so you should have to pay too much for that it’s just the programming side you would struggle with
Hello mate, thanks for the video, im struggling to remove the additive tank, it looks like there is a screw bolt coming down from above, can i asked how u removed your tank please? Regards Jay
