I've often thought that Ernie Wise was vastly underrated as the straightman in a comedy double act. He was just about the best there was in that role. When he got funny lines to say, his timing was spot on.
Morecambe & Wise - Frankenstein 0341am 11.5.23 they should create a compilation dvd of skits like this wherein a famous thespian of the era starred... we all have an Igor in our lives to deal with....
In case you wondered, there is an echo in here. Nothing more than to follow up what everyone else said with unoriginal but highly deserved praise and thanks. Thank you!
@@opinionday0079 Thanks I just watched it and ROLFLMAO this time. "What shall we do without you Jean.. " Nuts. Maybe I need it as a gif. That part.. That part made me laugh.
@@davidbaines1425 As long as you are OK ...... I worried you may have an injury as you were rolling around on your floor, perhaps you might hit your table and something could drop on top of you....so HEY be careful out there.

Martin l m and W loved each other like brothers same Laurel and Hardy Martin and Lewis did not also others were equals in ego Dept Jerry Lewis had horrid ego never heard bad word about m and W glad Dean Martin went off on his own no they were not a team as you say if one thinks they are not equal to the other
Seeing Eric and Ernie work their insanity with so many wonderful actors is a joy to behold.
I watched this for Ian Carmichael. He has been a favourite of mine since I was about 6 years old and watched him in World of Wooster.
I love the sound of the audience laughing, how lucky they were to be there :)
Aye, so much better than canned laughter.
Absolutely fantastic!!! My childhood memories
It is great to see Ian Carmichael doing broad comedy like this.
Ian Carmichael, talented and popular movie comedy actor. A famous son of my home town, Kingston Upon Hull.

I agree 100%. Well said

I imagine Morecambe would say there would be no Eric without Ernie.
They just made me laugh, laugh, and laugh. Thank you.
i have never seen this before and i,am a great fan of Morecambe and Wise
Robert Kincaid it's always a matter of taste and of mood. Maybe today you'll find this sketch very funny. Who knows.

No dislikes awesome
I remember Ian Carmichael in a sitcom as Bertie Wooster, with Dennis Price as Jeeves
windy miller jeeves and wooster are hugh laurie and stephen fry
Ian Carmichael and Dennis Price were Jeeves and Wooster before Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry
@@Trev359 Ian Carmichael was good as Lord Peter Whimsey the Dorothy L sayers Creation and later in The Royal. A fine Actor Much Missed

Pure genius!!! ★★★★★

Oh....Ian Carmichael, late of Heartbeat fame....Requiescat in Pace
Is he missing a fingertip on his left hand?
Interesting, don't see this scene very often. 5/10 A little slapstick. Thought Ernie looked like ANT for a second.
Lord Peter!
He's the main draw for me.
I know some won’t agree but Eric was funny even without Ern.
I noticed that half way through the sketch Ian lost his Scottish accent.
1:43 funny voice
8:45 - 8:54 Comedy Genius
3:49 to 4:10 best part ever!
"What shall we do without..." 8.00 ROFL

Hilarious
Who played Tamara?
Ann Hamilton
She's beautiful.
Hilarious. They make me think of what Martin and Lewis would have been like if they had stuck together as a team. Brilliant.

Some how it doesn't seem all that funny-----And I'm a huge fan of the m
How manic is that.
They should have shoved some electricity up the script writers.
So funny then look at comedy today it's not funny no more
Is there comedy today , I just thought it was some unknown standing on a stage needlessly swearing for 30 mins or so
Not one of their best routines. It looks about as professional as a school production.
But that's the point of "Ernie's plays"! They're supposed to be shambolic, and that's what makes them funny.
How could they get away with putting such unamusing fare on tv during prime time?
That canned laughing is just AWFUL
Not one of their best efforts
Regrettably, not funny and rather noisy.
if referring to the laughter and music, It's supposed to have it, that's the point
I thought it was hilarious
PATHETIC !!!!!!!!
