I had watched this sketch numerous times before watching Wuthering Heights (1939) with Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon. It was a very good movie...but I couldn't help laughing at certain parts. I kept having this sketch flash in my head during some of the scenes XD
Morecambe & Wise present Wuthering Heights 0331am 11.5.23 the old hams of the theatre world fronting up with a chance to be made a, seeming, fool of by the comedic duo. and there doesnt seem to have been a lack of folk wanting to be seen working with them... there's not much to say on that score, where being funny is concerned, its the same old same old but.... still amusing. "you can't get better than that"...
Brian Neale Yeah, we heard you the last time. You managed to spell "creek" properly a year ago. That's the aging process. It's probably why you're repeating yourself as well.
Does'nt she remind you of Sarah Palin? She does me! Literature as it was never delivered, in a white-persons world. And by an old classic. Long before Barack Obama was even born... Does this tell you something? The White People still live in the Past,
Hilarious! Eric and Ernie were SO funny ! 😂😂😂
Hilarious! God Bless you Eric and Ernie! You're sorely missed
Lucky landing of pheasant, lucky landing of pierce of paper on Eric’s head in another clip. All bets off they’ll never do it again.
Ann Hamilton - not only a great supporting actress with excellent comic timing in countless M&W sketçhes, but dashed pretty to boot! :-)
I still could not believe this is Professor James Moriarty. Absolutely comedic.
Emily Bronte would flippin love this 🤣🤣
I don’t know how Eric Porter kept a straight face. Real acting.
Ernie looks like he has wore those clothes since forever. That style really suits him.
I have watched this about 20 times....love it
Enjoyed it all ~ all over again.
thanks for another great video of two comedy greats

I'm studying Wuthering Heights for A-level....we had to watch the itv version (which was alright) but this is better!!!! xxx
brilliant!
2:33
Me seeing his outfit: "oh dear" 🤦♀️
😆😆😆🤣
OMG, Eric Porter played Moriaty in Granda's version of Sherlock Holmes, with Jeremy Brett, he's alot younger here though!!!
the sound is still up the creek and down the dale the sync is all to hell
Eric Porter's full biography ever is available: www.createspace.com/6895410
Wuthering heights ? I was waiting for a continuation of the sketch in the house of Macdougal !!!
Looks like Eric corpses a bit at 2:44; and for a brief moment he looks just like Vic Reeves.
"What do you think of it so far ?!...."
Rubbish!
...better late than never...😊
SAM!
The sound is up the creek
the sound is still not synchronised to what they are saying on the video
This would certainly be banned today because of PC... Gypsies don't steal or beg... Never. ;)
LOL
Sometimes I think Eric tried too hard to shove jokes into every second of air, but gosh if he wasn’t incredibly quick.

With Porter being such a brilliant straight man in this sketch, Ernie seems a bit out of place.
Who is the lovely and talented actress (sorry - female actor....must be PC!). How she stops from corpsing I'll never know.
Ann Hamilton. A staple member of the cast and a very good actress.
Thank you Mr Womble..... I live in Wimbledon too!
All the best people do ,(i don't!)
Not ALL the best people do then! :o)
She almost loses it @6:22. And she does lose it in their earlier U.N.C.L.E. sketch.
the speaking is up the creak not synchronised
Up the what?

What are you going on about?
Racist comment from a brown or black skinned person, of course.
Oh, dear, quick. Somebody needs a chip removed from their shoulder.
What an utterly stupid, crass comment.
Spillage66 : Stupid. You know non-whites don't make racist comments.
